¹ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အထံတော်က နှုတ်ကပတ် တော်သည် ယေရမိသို့ရောက်လာ၍၊ သင်သည် ဗိမာန် တော် တံခါးဝ၌ ရပ်လျက်ကြွေးကြော် ရမည့်စကားဟူ မူကား၊

¹The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,

²ထာဝရဘုရားကို ကိုးကွယ်ခြင်းငှါ၊ ဤတံခါးတို့ အတွင်းသို့ ဝင်သောယုဒအမျိုးသား အပေါင်းတို့၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်ကို နားထောင်ကြလော့။

²“Stand in the gate of Yahweh’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, ‘Hear the word of Yahweh, all you of Judah, who enter in at these gates to worship Yahweh.

³ဣသရေလအမျိုး၏ ဘုရားသခင်၊ ကောင်းကင် ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့ဘာသာ ဓလေ့နှင့် သင်တို့ အကျင့်များတို့ကို ပြုပြင်ကြလော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင် သင်တို့ကို ဤအရပ်၌ ငါနေ စေမည်။

³Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

⁴ဤသည်ကား၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ဗိမာန်တော်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ဗိမာန်တော်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ဗိမာန်တော်ဖြစ်သတည်းဟု မုသာ စကားကို ပြောသောသူတို့၌ မမှီဝဲကြနှင့်။

⁴Don’t trust in lying words, saying, Yahweh’s temple, Yahweh’s temple, Yahweh’s temple, are these.

⁵သင်တို့ ဘာသာဓလေ့နှင့် သင်တို့အကျင့်များ တို့ကို စုံလင်စွာ ပြုပြင်လျှင်၎င်း၊ အမှုသည်ချင်းတို့ကို သေချာစွာ တရားသဖြင့် စီရင်လျှင်၎င်း၊

⁵For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings; if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor;

⁶ဧည့်သည် အာဂန္တု၊ မိဘမရှိသောသူငယ်၊ မုတ်ဆိုးမကို မညှဉ်းဆဲ၊ အပြစ်မရှိသောသူ၏ အသက်ကိုဤအရပ်၌ မသတ်၊ ကိုယ်အကျိုးကို ဖျက်၍ အခြားတပါးသော ဘုရားတို့ကို မချဉ်းကပ်ဘဲ နေလျှင်၎င်း၊

⁶if you don’t oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don’t shed innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your own hurt:

⁷သင်တို့ဘိုးဘေးတို့အား၊ ငါသည် အစဉ်မပြတ် ပေးသော ပြည်တည်းဟူသော ဤအရပ်ဌာန၌ သင်တို့ကို ငါနေစေမည်။

⁷then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even forevermore.

⁸အကျိုးမရှိဘဲ မုသာစကားကို ပြောသောသူတို့၌ သင်တို့သည် ခိုလှုံကြ၏။

⁸Behold, you trust in lying words, that can’t profit.

⁹သင်တို့သည် သူ့ဥစ္စာကိုခိုးလျက်၊ လူအသက်ကို သတ်လျက်၊ သူ့မယားကိုပြစ်မှားလျက်၊ မဟုတ်မမှန်ဘဲ ကျိန်ဆိုလျက်၊ ဗာလဘုရားရှေ့၌ နံ့သာပေါင်းကို မီးရှို့ လျက်၊ ကိုယ်မသိဘူးသော အခြားတပါးသော ဘုရားတို့ နောက်သို့လိုက်လျက်နှင့်၊

⁹Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods that you have not known,

¹⁰ငါ၏နာမဖြင့် သမုတ်သော ဤအိမ်တော်၌၊ ငါ့ရှေ့မှာဝင်၍ ရပ်လျက်၊ ဤရွံရှာဘွယ်သော အမှု အလုံးစုံတို့ကို ပြုသောကြောင့်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ကယ် နှုတ်တော်မူခြင်း ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို ခံရပါပြီဟု လျှောက်ရ ကြမည်လော။

¹⁰and come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered; that you may do all these abominations?

¹¹ငါ၏နာမဖြင့် သမုတ်သော ဤအိမ်တော်ကို၊ သင်တို့သည် ထားပြတွင်းကဲ့သို့ ထင်ကြသလော။ ဤအမှု ကို ငါ့ကိုယ်တိုင် မြင်ပြီဟု ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹¹Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it, says Yahweh.

¹²ရှေ့ဦးစွာငါ၏ နာမကို ငါတည်စေသောအရပ်၊ ရှိလောရွာ၌ရှိသော ငါ့အရပ်ဌာနသို့သွား၍၊ ငါ၏အမျိုး ဣသရေလလူတို့၏ အပြစ်ကြောင့်၊ ထိုအရပ်ကို အဘယ်သို့ငါပြုဘူးသည်ကို ကြည့်ရှုကြလော့။

¹²But go now to my place which was in Shiloh, where I caused my name to dwell at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.

¹³ယခုတွင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့သည် ဤအမှုအလုံးစုံတို့ကို ပြုသောကြောင့်၎င်း၊ ငါသည်စောစောထ၍ အထပ်ထပ်ပြောသော်လည်း၊ သင်တို့သည် နားမထောင်၊ ငါခေါ်၍ သင်တို့သည် မထူးသောကြောင့်၎င်း၊

¹³Now, because you have done all these works, says Yahweh, and I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you didn’t hear; and I called you, but you didn’t answer:

¹⁴ရှိလောရွာကို ငါပြုသကဲ့သို့၊ ငါ၏နာမဖြင့် သမုတ်သော၊ သင်တို့ ခိုလှုံသော ဤအိမ်တော်၊ သင်တို့နှင့် ဘိုးဘေးတို့အား ငါပေးသော အရပ်ဌာနကို ငါပြုမည်။

¹⁴therefore will I do to the house which is called by my name, in which you trust, and to the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I did to Shiloh.

¹⁵သင်တို့ညီအစ်ကို ဧဖရိမ်အမျိုးသားရှိသမျှတို့ကို ငါနှင့်ထုတ်သကဲ့သို့၊ သင်တို့ကို ငါ့ထံမှ ငါနှင့်ထုတ်မည်။

¹⁵I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brothers, even the whole seed of Ephraim.

¹⁶သင်သည်လည်း ဤလူမျိုးအဘို့ ပဌနာမပြုနှင့်။ သူတို့အဘို့ အော်ဟစ်ခြင်း၊ ဆုတောင်းခြင်းကို မပြုနှင့်။ ငါ့ကိုမသွေးဆောင်နှင့်။ သင်၏ စကားကို ငါနားမထောင်။

¹⁶Therefore don’t pray for this people, neither lift up a cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me; for I will not hear you.

¹⁷သူတို့သည် ယုဒမြို့များ၊ ယေရုရှလင်လမ်းများ တို့၌ ပြုကြသော အမှုကို မမြင်သလော။

¹⁷Don’t you see what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

¹⁸ငါ့ကို နှောင့်ရှက်မည်အကြံနှင့်၊ ကောင်းကင် မိဖုရားအဘို့ မုန့်ပြားတို့ကို လုပ်၍၊ အခြားတပါးသော ဘုရားတို့ရှေ့မှာ သွန်းလောင်းရာ ပူဇော် သက္ကာကိုပြုခြင်း ငှါ၊ သားတို့သည် ထင်းခွေကြ၏။ အဘတို့သည် မီးထည့် ကြ၏။ မိန်းမတို့သည် မုန့်နယ်ကြ၏။

¹⁸The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

¹⁹ထိုသို့ပြု၍ ငါ့ကိုနှောင့်ရှက်ကြသလော။ မိမိတို့ မျက်နှာကို ဖျက်မည်အကြောင်း၊ မိမိတို့ကိုယ်ကိုသာ နှောင့် ရှက်ကြသည်မဟုတ်လောဟု ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော် မူ၏။

¹⁹Do they provoke me to anger? says Yahweh. Don’t they provoke themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?

²⁰သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည် ကား၊ ဤအရပ် ၌ရှိသောလူ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန်၊ သစ်ပင်၊ မြေ အသီးအနှံအပေါ်မှာ ငါသည် ဒေသအမျက် မီးကို သွန်းလောင်း၍၊ ထိုမီးသည် မငြိမ်းဘဲလောင်လိမ့်မည်။

²⁰Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, my anger and my wrath shall be poured out on this place, on man, and on animal, and on the trees of the field, and on the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

²¹ဣသရေလအမျိုး၏ ဘုရားသခင်၊ ကောင်းကင် ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့ မီးရှို့ရာ ယဇ်များကို အခြားသော ယဇ်များနှင့် အတူထား၍၊ အမဲသားကိုစားကြလော့။

²¹Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat meat.

²²အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်တို့ ဘိုးဘေးများကို အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်မှ ငါနှုတ်ဆောင်သောအခါ၊ မီးရှို့ရာယဇ် အစရှိသော ယဇ်များအတွက် သူတို့ကို ငါမှာထားသည် မဟုတ်။

²²For I didn’t speak to your fathers, nor command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:

²³ငါမှာထားသောအရာဟူမူကား၊ ငါ့စကားကို နားထောင်ကြလော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင်၊ ငါသည်သင်တို့၏ ဘုရား သခင်ဖြစ်မည်။ သင်တို့သည်လည်း၊ ငါ၏လူမျိုးဖြစ်ကြ လိမ့်မည်။ သင်တို့သည် ကိုယ်အကျိုးကို စောင့်လိုသောငှါ၊ ငါစီရင်သမျှသော တရားလမ်းသို့ လိုက်ရကြမည်ဟု မှာထား၏။

²³but this thing I commanded them, saying, Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people; and walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.

²⁴သို့ရာတွင်၊ သူတို့သည် နားမထောင်၊ နားကို မလှည့်ဘဲ ဆိုးညစ်သော နှလုံးခိုင်မာသည်နှင့်အညီ ကျင့်ကြံပြုမူ၍ မျက်နှာမပြု၊ ကျောခိုင်းလျက် နေကြ၏။

²⁴But they didn’t listen nor turn their ear, but walked in their own counsels and in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

²⁵သင်တို့အဘများသည် အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်က ထွက် သွားသောနေ့မှစ၍ ယနေ့တိုင်အောင်၊ ငါသည် နေ့တိုင်း စောစောထ၍၊ ငါ၏ကျွန်ပရောဖက်အပေါင်းတို့ကို သင်တို့ရှိရာသို့ အထပ်ထပ်စေလွှတ်သော်လည်း၊

²⁵Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt to this day, I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:

²⁶သင်တို့သည် ငါ့စကားကို နားမထောင်၊ မနာ မယူဘဲနေ၍ မိမိတို့ လည်ပင်းကို ခိုင်မာစေသဖြင့်၊ အဘများထက်သာ၍ ဆိုးသွမ်းကြ၏။

²⁶yet they didn’t listen to me, nor inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff: they did worse than their fathers.

²⁷သင်သည် ဤစကားအလုံးစုံကို သူတို့အား ပြောသော်လည်း၊ သူတို့သည် နားမထောင်ကြ။ ခေါ်သော် လည်း မထူးကြ။

²⁷You shall speak all these words to them; but they will not listen to you: you shall also call to them; but they will not answer you.

²⁸သို့ဖြစ်၍ သင်ကလည်း၊ ဤလူမျိုးသည် မိမိတို့ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား၏စကားတော်ကို နား မထောင်၊ ဆုံးမ၍ မနိုင်သောအမျိုး ဖြစ်၏။ သစ္စာစကား ကိုမပြော၊ သစ္စာပျက်သော အမျိုးဖြစ်သည်ဟု သူတို့အား ပြောဆိုရမည်။

²⁸You shall tell them, This is the nation that has not listened to the voice of Yahweh their God, nor received instruction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

²⁹သင်၏သစ္စာဆံပင်ကို ရိတ်၍ ပစ်လိုက်လော့။ မြင့်သောအရပ်၌ မြည်တမ်းခြင်းကို ပြုလော့။ အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် မိမိလူမျိုးကို ပယ်တော်မူပြီ။ အမျက်တော်သင့်ရောက်သော အမျိုးကို စွန့်ပစ်တော် မူပြီ။

²⁹Cut off your hair, and throw it away, and take up a lamentation on the bare heights; for Yahweh has rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.

³⁰ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ယုဒ အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ငါ့ရှေ့မှာဆိုးသော အမှုကိုပြုကြပြီ။ ငါ၏နာမဖြင့် သမုတ်သော အိမ်တော်ကို ညစ်ညူးစေခြင်း ငှါ၊ ရွံရှာဘွယ်သောအရာတို့ကို သွင်းထားကြပြီ။

³⁰For the children of Judah have done that which is evil in my sight, says Yahweh: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.

³¹ငါမမှာထား၊ ငါအလျှင်းအလိုမရှိသော်လည်း၊ သူတို့သားသမီးများကို မီးရှို့ခြင်းငှါ ဟိန္နုံသား၏ချိုင့်၌ ရှိသော တောဖက်ကုန်းတို့ကို တည်ကြပြီ။

³¹They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I didn’t command, nor did it come into my mind.

³²သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ထိုချိုင့်ကို တောဖက်ချိုင့်ဟူ၍မခေါ်၊ ဟိန္နုံသား၏ ချိုင့် ဟူ၍မခေါ်၊ ကွပ်မျက်ရာ ချိုင့်ဟူ၍ ခေါ်ရသော အချိန် ကာလရောက်လိမ့်မည်။ တောဖက်၌ မြေလွတ်မရှိသည် တိုင်အောင် သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။

³²Therefore behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that it shall no more be called Topheth, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of Slaughter: for they shall bury in Topheth, until there is no place to bury.

³³ဤလူမျိုးအသေကောင်တို့သည် မိုဃ်းကောင်း ကင်ငှက်နှင့် တောသားရဲစားစရာဘို့ ဖြစ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုတိရစ္ဆာန်တို့ကို အဘယ်သူမျှ မမောင်းရ။

³³The dead bodies of this people shall be food for the birds of the sky, and for the animals of the earth; and none shall frighten them away.

³⁴ယုဒမြို့များ၊ ယေရုရှလင်လမ်းများတို့၌ ဝမ်း မြောက်သောအသံ၊ ရွှင်လန်းသောအသံ၊ မင်္ဂလာဆောင် သတို့သားအသံနှင့်မင်္ဂလာဆောင် သတို့သမီးအသံကိုငါစဲစေမည်။ တပြည်လုံးသည် လူဆိတ်ညံရာအရပ်ဖြစ်လိမ့် မည်ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။

³⁴Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; for the land shall become a waste.
