¹လမ်း၌သွားတော်မူစဉ်၊ အမိဝမ်းတွင်းကပင် မျက်စိကန်းသောသူတယောက်ကို တွေ့မြင်သော်မူ၏။

¹As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.

²တပည့်တော်တို့က၊ အရှင်ဘုရား၊ ဤသူသည် အဘယ်သူ၏အပြစ်ကြောင့် ကန်းသနည်း။ ကိုယ်အပြစ် ကြောင့် ကန်းသလော။ မိဘအပြစ်ကြောင့် ကန်းသလောဟု မေးလျှောက်ကြ၏။

²His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

³ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ကိုယ်အပြစ်ကြောင့်မဟုတ်။ မိဘအပြစ်ကြောင့်လည်းမဟုတ်။ ဘုရားသခင်၏ အမှု တော်ကို သူ၌ ထင်ရှားစေမည်အကြောင်းတည်း။

³Jesus answered, “Neither did this man sin, nor his parents; but, that the works of God might be revealed in him.

⁴ငါ့ကို စေလွှတ်တော်မူသော သူ၏အမှုကို နေ့အချိန်၌ရှိစဉ်တွင် ငါပြုရမည်။ အဘယ်သူမျှအမှုမပြုနိုင် သော အချိန်တည်းဟူသော ညဉ့်အချိန်လာသေး၏။

⁴ I must work the works of him who sent me, while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.

⁵ငါသည် ဤလောက၌ ရှိစဉ်တွင် ဤလောက၏အလင်းဖြစ်၏ဟု မိန့်တော်မူပြီးလျှင်၊

⁵ While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

⁶မြေပေါ်မှာ ထွေး၍ တံထွေးနှင့်ရွှံ့လုပ်ပြီးမှ၊ ကန်းသောသူ၏မျက်စိကို ရွှံ့နှင့်လူး၍၊

⁶When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man’s eyes with the mud,

⁷သင်သွားလော့။ ရှိလောင်ရေကန်၌ မျက်စိကိုဆေးလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ ရှိလောင်အနက်ကား စေ လွှတ်သည်ဟု ဆိုလိုသတည်း။ ထိုသူသည် သွား၍ဆေးပြီးမှ၊ မျက်စိမြင်လျက် ပြန်လေ၏။

⁷and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.

⁸သူသည် သူတောင်းစားဖြစ်သည်ကို အိမ်နီးချင်းမှစ၍ မြင်ဘူးသောသူတို့က၊ ဤသူသည် ထိုင်၍ တောင်းသောသူမဟုတ်လောဟု ဆိုကြ၏။

⁸The neighbors therefore, and those who saw that he was blind before, said, “Isn’t this he who sat and begged?”

⁹လူအချို့က၊ ဟုတ်ကဲ့ဟုဆိုကြ၏။ အချို့ကလည်း၊ ထိုသူနှင့်တူသည်ဟု ဆိုကြ၏။ ထိုသူကလည်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ထိုသူပင်ဖြစ်သည်ဟုဆို၏။

⁹Others were saying, “It is he.” Still others were saying, “He looks like him.” He said, “I am he.”

¹⁰သူတို့ကလည်း၊ အဘယ်သို့သင်၏မျက်စိပွင့်သနည်းဟု မေးမြန်းကြလျှင်၊

¹⁰They therefore were asking him, “How were your eyes opened?”

¹¹ထိုသူက၊ ယေရှုအမည်ရှိသော သူတယောက်သည် ရွှံ့လုပ်၍ ကျွန်ုပ်မျက်စိကိုလူးပြီးမှ၊ ရှိလောင် ရေကန်သို့သွား၍ မျက်စိကိုဆေးလောဟုဆိုသည်အတိုင်း အကျွန်ုပ်သွား၍ဆေးလျှင် မျက်စိမြင်သည်ဟုဆို၏။

¹¹He answered, “A man called Jesus made mud, anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash.’ So I went away and washed, and I received sight.”

¹²လူများကလည်း၊ ထိုသူသည် အဘယ်မှာရှိသနည်းဟု မေးမြန်းကြလျှင်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်မသိဟုဆို၏။

¹²Then they asked him, “Where is he?” He said, “I don’t know.”

¹³လူများသည် မျက်စိကန်းဘူးသော ထိုသူကို ဖာရိရှဲတို့ထံသို့ ပို့ကြ၏။

¹³They brought him who had been blind to the Pharisees.

¹⁴ယေရှုသည် ရွှံ့လုပ်၍ သူ၏မျက်စိကို ပွင့်တော်မူသောနေ့သည် ဥပုသ်နေ့ဖြစ်သတည်း။

¹⁴It was a Sabbath when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes.

¹⁵တဖန်ဖာရိရှဲတို့က၊ အဘယ်သို့သင်၏မျက်စိမြင်သနည်းဟုမေးပြန်လျှင်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်မျက်စိ၌သူသည် ရွှံ့ ကိုထည့်၍ အကျွန်ုပ်ဆေးလျှင် မျက်စိမြင်သည်ဟုဆို၏။

¹⁵Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, “He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.”

¹⁶ဖာရိရှဲအချို့တို့က၊ ထိုသူသည် ဥပုသ်မစောင့်။ ဘုရားသခင်စေလွှတ်တော်မူသောသူမဟုတ်ဟု ဆိုကြ ၏။ အချို့တို့က၊ ဆိုးသောသူသည် ဤသို့သော နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာတို့ကို အဘယ်သို့ပြနိုင်မည်နည်းဟု ဆိုကြ၏။ ထိုသို့အချင်းချင်းမသင့် ကွဲပြားခြင်းသို့ရောက်၏။

¹⁶Some therefore of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because he doesn’t keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” There was division among them.

¹⁷တဖန်မျက်စိကန်းဘူးသောသူအား၊ သင်၏မျက်စိကိုဖွင့်သောသူသည် အဘယ်သို့သောသူဖြစ် သနည်း ဟု မေးကြလျှင်၊ ပရောဖက်ဖြစ်သည်ဟုဆို၏။

¹⁷Therefore they asked the blind man again, “What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.”

¹⁸ထိုသူသည် အထက်မျက်စိမမြင်၊ နောက်မှမျက်စိမြင်သည်ကို ယုဒလူတို့သည် မယုံကြသဖြင့် သူ၏ မိဘကိုခေါ်၍၊

¹⁸The Jews therefore did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight,

¹⁹ဤသူသည် သင်တို့ဆိုသည်အတိုင်း အမိဝမ်းတွင်းကပင် မျက်စိကန်းသော သင်တို့၏ သားမှန်လော။ သို့မှန်လျှင် အဘယ်သို့ယခုမျက်စိမြင်သနည်းဟု မေးကြ၏။

¹⁹and asked them, “Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”

²⁰မိဘတို့ကလည်း၊ ဤသူသည် အကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏ သားမှန်သည်ကို၎င်း၊ အမိဝမ်းတွင်းကပင် မျက်စိကန်း သည်ကို၎င်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ သိကြပါ၏။

²⁰His parents answered them, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;

²¹အဘယ်ကြောင့် မျက်စိမြင်သည်ကို၎င်း၊ အဘယ်သူသည်သူ၏ မျက်စိကိုဖွင့်သည်ကို၎င်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ မသိကြပါ။ သူသည် အသက်ရွယ်နှင့်ပြည့်စုံပါ၏။ သူ့ကိုမေးကြပါလော့။ သူသည်ကိုယ်အကြောင်းကို ကိုယ် တိုင်ပြောပါလိမ့်မည်ဟု ပြန်ပြောကြ၏။

²¹but how he now sees, we don’t know; or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”

²²ဤသို့ပြောသည်အကြောင်းကား၊ ယေရှုသည် ခရစ်တော်ဖြစ်သည်ဟု ဝန်ခံသောသူမည်သည်ကို တရား စရပ်မှနှင်ထုတ်ရမည်ဟု ယုဒလူတို့သည် တိုင်ပင်စီရင်ကြနှင့်ပြီ။

²²His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.

²³ထိုကြောင့် မိဘတို့က၊ သူသည် အသက်အရွယ်နှင့် ပြည့်စုံပါ၏။ သူ့ကိုမေးကြလော့ဟု ယုဒလူတို့ကို ကြောက်၍ ပြောကြ၏။

²³Therefore his parents said, “He is of age. Ask him.”

²⁴ထိုကြောင့်၊ မျက်စိကန်းဘူသောသူကို ဒုတိယအကြိမ်ခေါ်၍ ဘုရားသခင်ကို ချီးမွမ်းလော့။ ထိုသူသည် လူဆိုးဖြစ်ကြောင်းကို ငါတို့သိ၏ဟုဆိုကြလျှင်၊

²⁴So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”

²⁵လူဆိုးဖြစ်သည်မဖြစ်သည်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်မသိ။ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် အထက်ကမျက်စိကန်း၍ ယခုမျက်စိမြင် သည်အကြောင်းတခုကို အကျွန်ုပ်သိသည်ဟုဆို၏။

²⁵He therefore answered, “I don’t know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”

²⁶တဖန်သူတို့က၊ သူသည်သင်တို့၌ အဘယ်သို့ပြုသနည်း။ သင်၏ မျက်စိကိုအဘယ်သို့ ဖွင့်သနည်းဟု မေးကြလျှင်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တခါပြောပြီ၊ သင်တို့နားမကြားကြ။

²⁶They said to him again, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”

²⁷အဘယ်ကြောင့် တဖန်ကြားချင်သနည်း။ သူ့တပည့် ဖြစ်ချင်သလောဟု ဆိုကြ၏။

²⁷He answered them, “I told you already, and you didn’t listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don’t also want to become his disciples, do you?”

²⁸ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း၊ သင်သည်သူ့တပည့်ဖြစ်၏။ ငါတို့မူကား မောရှ၏တပည့်ဖြစ်ကြ၏။

²⁸They insulted him and said, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.

²⁹ဘုရားသခင်သည်မောရှ၌ ဗျာဒိတ်ထားတော်မူကြောင်းကို ငါတို့ သိကြ၏။ ထိုသူသည် အဘယ်က ဖြစ်သည်ကို အသိဟုကဲ့ရဲ့၍ ပြောဆိုကြလျှင်၊

²⁹We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don’t know where he comes from.”

³⁰သူသည် အကျွန်ုပ်မျက်စိကိုဖွင့်သော်လည်း အဘယ်ကဖြစ်သည်ဟု သင်တို့မသိကြသည်ကို အံ့ဩ ဘွယ်ရှိ၏။

³⁰The man answered them, “How amazing! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.

³¹ဘုရားသခင်သည် လူဆိုးတို့ စကားကိုနားထောင်တော်မမူသည်ကို ငါတို့သိကြ၏။ ဘုရားသခင်ကို ရိုသေလေးမြတ်၍ အလိုတော်ကို လိုက်သောသူဖြစ်လျှင် ထိုသူ၏စကားကို နားထောင်တော်မူ၏။

³¹We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshipper of God, and does his will, he listens to him. Psalm 66:18, Proverbs 15:29; 28:9

³²အမိဝမ်းတွင်းကပင် မျက်စိကန်းသောသူကိုမျက်စိမြင်စေခြင်းငှါ တတ်နိုင်သည်ကို ကမ္ဘာဦးမှစ၍ မကြားစဖူး။

³²Since the world began it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind.

³³ထိုသူသည်ဘုရားသခင်စေလွှတ်တော်မူသောသူမဟုတ်လျှင် အဘယ်အမှုကိုမျှမတတ်နိုင်ဟုပြောဆို၏။

³³If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

³⁴ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း၊ သင်သည် မွေးစကပင်တကိုယ်လုံး၌ ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်စွဲသောသူဖြစ်လျက်နှင့် ငါတို့ကို ဆုံးမပါသည်တကားဟု ပြေဆိုကြပြီလျှင်၊ ထိုသူကို တရားစရပ်မှနှင်ထုတ်ကြ၏။

³⁴They answered him, “You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?” They threw him out.

³⁵နှင်ထုတ်သည်အကြောင်းကို ယေရှုသည်ကြားပြီးမှ ထိုသူကိုတွေ့တော်မူလျှင်၊ သင်သည် ဘုရားသခင် ၏ သားတော်ကို ယုံကြည်သလောဟု မေးတော်မူ၏။

³⁵Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of God?”

³⁶သခင်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်ယုံကြည်ရမည်အကြောင်း ဘုရားသခင်၏သားတော်ကား အဘယ်သူနည်းဟု မေး လျှောက်သော်၊

³⁶He answered, “Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?”

³⁷ယေရှုက၊ သင်သည် ထိုသူကိုမြင်ခဲ့ပြီးသာမက၊ သင်နှင့်ယခု စကားပြောသောသူသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ သားတော်ဖြစ်သည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူလျှင်၊

³⁷Jesus said to him, “You have both seen him, and it is he who speaks with you.”

³⁸သခင်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်ယုံကြည်ပါ၏ဟု လျှောက်၍ ညွတ်ပြပ်ကိုးကွယ်လေ၏။

³⁸He said, “Lord, I believe!” and he worshiped him.

³⁹ထိုအခါ ယေရှုကလည်း၊ မျက်စိမမြင်သောသူသည် မြင်စေခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ မြင်သောသူကို မျက်စိကန်းစေ ခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ ငါသည် တရားစီရင်၍ ဤလောကသို့ ရောက်လာပြီဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

³⁹Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment, that those who don’t see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”

⁴⁰အထံတော်၌ရှိသော ဖာရိရှဲအချို့တို့သည် ထိုစကားကိုကြားလျှင်၊ ငါတို့သည် မျက်စိကန်းသလောဟု မေးကြ၏။

⁴⁰Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said to him, “Are we also blind?”

⁴¹ယေရှုကလည်း၊ သင်တို့သည် မျက်စိကန်းသည်မှန်လျှင် အပြစ်မရှိ၊ ငါတို့မျက်စိမြင်သည်ဟု ငါတို့ ဆိုကြ၏။ ထိုကြောင့် သင်တို့၌အပြစ်တည်သည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁴¹Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
