¹ငါး၏ဝမ်းထဲမှာနေစဉ်တွင်၊ ယောနသည် မိမိ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရားကို ဆုတောင်းသောစကားဟူ မူကား၊

¹Then Jonah prayed to Yahweh, his God, out of the fish’s belly.

²ငါသည် ဒုက္ခဆင်းရဲကို ခံရသောကြောင့်၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရားကို ဟစ်ခေါ်၍ ငါ့စကားကို ကြားတော်မူ၏။ မရ ဏာနိုင်ငံ၏ဝမ်းထဲက ဟစ်ခေါ်သော စကားသံကို နား ထောင်တော်မူ၏။

²He said, “I called because of my affliction to Yahweh. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. I cried. You heard my voice.

³ကိုယ်တော်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်ကို နက်နဲသောအရပ်၊ သမုဒ္ဒရာအလယ်ချက်ထဲသို့ ချပစ်တော်မူသဖြင့်၊ ပင်လယ် ရေသည် ဝိုင်း၍ လှိုင်းတံပိုးတော်ရှိသမျှတို့သည် လွှမ်းမွန်း ကြပါ၏။

³For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me.

⁴ထိုသို့ မျက်မှောက်တော်မှ နှင်ထုတ်ခြင်းကို ခံရ သော်လည်း၊ သန့်ရှင်းသောဗိမာန်တော်ကို မျက်မှောက်ပြု မြဲ ပြုပါမည်ဟု အောက်မေ့လျက်နေ၏။

⁴I said, ‘I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.’

⁵ရေတို့သည် အကျွန်ုပ်အသက်ကို သေစေခြင်းငှါ ဝိုင်းသဖြင့်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ပင်လယ်အလယ်၌ အချုပ်ခံရ ပါ၏။ ပင်လယ်မြက်ပင်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်ခေါင်းကို ပေါင်းစည်းလျက်ရှိပါ၏။

⁵The waters surrounded me, even to the soul. The deep was around me. The weeds were wrapped around my head.

⁶တောင်ခြေရင်းအမြစ်သို့ အကျွန်ုပ်ဆင်း၍၊ မြေ ကန့်လန့်ကျင်အတွင်း၌ အစဉ်အမြဲပိတ်ထားသော်လည်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်၏ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်အသက်ကို ပျက်စီးရာမှ ကယ်ဆယ်တော်မူလိမ့် မည်။

⁶I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. The earth barred me in forever: yet have you brought up my life from the pit, Yahweh my God.

⁷အကျွန်ုပ်သည် စိတ်ပျက်သောအခါ ထာဝရဘုရား ကို အောက်မေ့၍၊ အကျွန်ုပ်၏ပဌနာသည် သန့်ရှင်းသော ဗိမာန်တော်၌ ကိုယ်တော်ထံသို့ ဝင်ပါ၏။

⁷“When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Yahweh. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple.

⁸မုသာအနတ္တကို မှီဝဲသောသူတို့သည် မိမိတို့ ကရုဏာခံရာအကြောင်းကို စွန့်ပစ်ကြပါ၏။

⁹အကျွန်ုပ်မူကား၊ ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းသော စကားနှင့် ကိုယ်တော်အား ယဇ်ပူဇော်ပါမည်။ သစ္စာဂတိ ထားသည်အတိုင်း သစ္စာဝတ်ကို ပြုပါမည်။ ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ ကျေးဇူးတော်ကြောင့် ချမ်းသာရပါသည်ဟု ဆုတောင်းလေ၏။

⁹But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to Yahweh.”

¹⁰ထိုအခါ ငါးကြီးသည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အမိန့် တော်ကို ခံ၍ ယောနကို ကုန်းပေါ်သို့ အန်လေ၏။

¹⁰Yahweh spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land.
