¹လိုက်သောသူမရှိသော်လည်း၊ မတရားသောသူ သည် ပြေးတတ်၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူမူကား၊ ခြင်္သေ့ကဲ့ သို့ ရဲရင့်တတ်၏။

¹The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

²ပြည်သူပြည်သားအပြစ်ကြောင့်၊ မင်းတို့သည် များပြားတတ်ကြ၏။ ဥာဏ်ပညာနှင့် ပြည့်စုံသောသူအား ဖြင့် နိုင်ငံတည်တတ်၏။

²In rebellion, a land has many rulers, but order is maintained by a man of understanding and knowledge.

³ဆင်းရဲသားတို့ကို ညှဉ်းဆဲသော ဆင်းရဲသား သည် အဘယ်စားစရာမျှ မကြွင်းစေဘဲ၊ သုတ်သင်ပယ် ရှင်းသော မိုဃ်းရေနှင့်တူ၏။

³A needy man who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain which leaves no crops.

⁴တရားကိုဖျက်သောသူသည် မတရားသောသူ တို့ကို ချီးမွမ်းတတ်၏။ တရားကို စောင့်သောသူမူကား၊ သူတို့နှင့် ဆန့်ကျင်ဘက်ပြုတတ်၏။

⁴Those who forsake the law praise the wicked; but those who keep the law contend with them.

⁵အဓမ္မလူသည် တရားစီရင်ခြင်းကို နားမလည် တတ်။ ထာဝရဘုရားကို ရှာသောသူမူကား၊ ခပ်သိမ်း သော စီရင်ခြင်းကို နားလည်တတ်၏။

⁵Evil men don’t understand justice; but those who seek Yahweh understand it fully.

⁶မမှန်သောအမှုကို ပြုသောသူသည် ငွေရတတ် သော်လည်း၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းလမ်းသို့ လိုက်သော ဆင်းရဲ သားသည် သာ၍မြတ်၏။

⁶Better is the poor who walks in his integrity, than he who is perverse in his ways, and he is rich.

⁷တရားကိုစောင့်သောသူသည် ပညာရှိသော သားဖြစ်၏။ စားကြူးသောသူတို့နှင့် ပေါင်းဘော်သောသူ မူကား၊ မိမိအဘကို အရှက်ခွဲတတ်၏။

⁷Whoever keeps the law is a wise son; but he who is a companion of gluttons shames his father.

⁸အတိုးစား၍ မတရားသော အမြတ်အားဖြင့် ဥစ္စာကို ဆည်းဖူးသောသူသည် ဆင်းရဲသားတို့ကို သနား သောသူအဘို့သာ ဆည်းဖူးတတ်၏။

⁸He who increases his wealth by excessive interest gathers it for one who has pity on the poor.

⁹တရားမနာ၊ လွှဲသွားသောသူသည် ဆုတောင်း သော်လည်း၊ သူ၏ပဌနာစကားသည် စက်ဆုပ်ရွံရှာဘွယ် ဖြစ်၏။

⁹He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.

¹⁰ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူကို လမ်းလွှဲ၍၊ မကောင်း သော လမ်းထဲသို့ သွေးဆောင်သောသူသည် မိမိတူးသော တွင်းထဲသို့ မိမိကျလိမ့်မည်။ သဘောဖြောင့်သောသူ မူကား၊ ကောင်းသောအရာတို့ကို အမွေခံရလိမ့်မည်။

¹⁰Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, he will fall into his own trap; but the blameless will inherit good.

¹¹ငွေရတတ်သောသူက။ ငါသည်ပညာရှိ၏ဟု ကိုယ်ကို ထင်တတ်၏။ ဥာဏ်ကောင်းသော ဆင်းရဲသား မူကား၊ ထိုသူကို စစ်ကြောတတ်၏။

¹¹The rich man is wise in his own eyes; but the poor who has understanding sees through him.

¹²ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူတို့သည် ဝမ်းမြောက်သော အခါ ဘုန်းကြီးတတ်၏။ မတရားသောသူတို့သည် ချီးမြှောက်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သောအခါ လူတို့သည် ပုန်း ရှောင်၍ နေတတ်ကြ၏။

¹²When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; but when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.

¹³မိမိအပြစ်ကို ဝှက်ထားသောသူသည် ချမ်းသာမရ။ မိမိအပြစ်ကို ဘော်ပြဝန်ချ၍ စွန့်ပစ်သော သူမူကား၊ ကရုဏာတော်ကို ခံရလိမ့်မည်။

¹³He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

¹⁴အစဉ်မပြတ် ကြောက်ရွံ့သောသူသည် မင်္ဂလာ ရှိ၏။ မိမိစိတ်နှလုံးကို ခိုင်မာစေသောသူမူကား၊ ဘေး ဥပဒ်နှင့်တွေ့လိမ့်မည်။

¹⁴Blessed is the man who always fears; but one who hardens his heart falls into trouble.

¹⁵ဆင်းရဲသားတို့ကို အုပ်စိုးသော အဓမ္မမင်းသည် ဟောက်သောခြင်္သေ့၊ လှည့်လည်သောဝံနှင့်တူ၏။

¹⁵As a roaring lion or a charging bear, so is a wicked ruler over helpless people.

¹⁶ဥာဏ်မရှိသောမင်းသည် ပြင်းစွာညှဉ်းဆဲတတ် ၏။ လောဘကို မုန်းသောမင်းမူကား၊ အသက်တာရှည်လိမ့် မည်။

¹⁶A tyrannical ruler lacks judgment. One who hates ill-gotten gain will have long days.

¹⁷လူအသက်ကို ညှဉ်းဆဲသောသူသည် သင်္ချိုင်း တွင်းသို့ ပြေးပါလေစေ။ အဘယ်သူမျှ မဆီးတားစေနှင့်။

¹⁷A man who is tormented by life blood will be a fugitive until death; no one will support him.

¹⁸ဖြောင့်သောလမ်းသို့ လိုက်သောသူသည် ဘေး လွတ်လိမ့်မည်။ ကောက်သောလမ်းသို့ လိုက်သောသူမူကား၊ ချက်ခြင်းလဲလိမ့်မည်။

¹⁸Whoever walks blamelessly is kept safe; but one with perverse ways will fall suddenly.

¹⁹လယ်လုပ်သောသူသည် ဝစွာစားရ၏။ အချည်း နှီးသောအမှုကို စောင့်သောသူမူကား၊ ဆင်းရဲခြင်းနှင့် ဝလိမ့်မည်။

¹⁹One who works his land will have an abundance of food; but one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.

²⁰သစ္စာစောင့်သောသူသည် ကောင်းကြီးမင်္ဂလာ နှင့် ကြွယ်ဝလိမ့်မည်။ ငွေရတတ်ခြင်းငှါ အလျင်အမြန် ပြုသောသူမူကား၊ အပြစ်နှင့်မလွတ်ရ။

²⁰A faithful man is rich with blessings; but one who is eager to be rich will not go unpunished.

²¹လူမျက်နှာကို မထောက်ကောင်း။ သို့သော် လည်း၊ လူသည် မုန့်တဖဲ့ကိုရခြင်းငှါ ဒုစရိုက်ကို ပြုလိမ့် မည်။

²¹To show partiality is not good; yet a man will do wrong for a piece of bread.

²²ငွေရတတ်ခြင်းငှါ အလျင်အမြန်ပြုသော သူ သည် မနာလိုသောသဘောရှိတတ်၏။ နောက်တဖန် ဆင်းရဲခြင်းသို့ ရောက်မည်ဟု မအောက်မေ့တတ်။

²²A stingy man hurries after riches, and doesn’t know that poverty waits for him.

²³ချော့မော့သောစကားကို ပြောသောသူသည် ကျေးဇူးကို ခံရသည်ထက်၊ ဆုံးမပြစ်တင်သောသူသည် နောက်တဖန် သာ၍ ကျေးဇူးကို ခံရလိမ့်မည်။

²³One who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor than one who flatters with the tongue.

²⁴အပြစ်မရှိဟုဆိုလျက်၊ မိဘဥစ္စာကို လုယူသော သူသည် ဖျက်ဆီးသောသူ၏ အပေါင်းအဘော်ဖြစ်၏။

²⁴Whoever robs his father or his mother, and says, “It’s not wrong.” He is a partner with a destroyer.

²⁵စိတ်မြင့်သောသူသည် ခိုက်ရန်ကို နှိုးဆော်တတ် ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရားကို ခိုလှုံသောသူမူကား၊ ကြွယ်ဝတတ် ၏။

²⁵One who is greedy stirs up strife; but one who trusts in Yahweh will prosper.

²⁶မိမိစိတ်နှလုံးကို ကိုးစားသောသူသည် လူမိုက် ဖြစ်၏။ ပညာသတိနှင့် ကျင့်သောသူမူကား၊ ဘေးလွတ် တတ်၏။

²⁶One who trusts in himself is a fool; but one who walks in wisdom is kept safe.

²⁷ဆင်းရဲသားတို့အား စွန့်ကြဲသောသူသည် ကိုယ် တိုင်မဆင်းရဲရာ။ လွှဲရှောင်သောသူမူကား၊ များစွာသော ကျိန်ဆဲခြင်းကို ခံရလိမ့်မည်။

²⁷One who gives to the poor has no lack; but one who closes his eyes will have many curses.

²⁸မတရားသောသူတို့သည် ချီးမြှောက်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သောအခါ၊ လူတို့သည် ပုန်းရှောင်၍ နေရကြ၏။ ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သောအခါ၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူတို့ သည် ပွားများတတ်ကြ၏။

²⁸When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; but when they perish, the righteous thrive.
