¹ထိုသို့မှန်လျှင်၊ အဘယ်သို့ပြောရမည်နည်း။ ကျေးဇူးတော်ပွါးများစေခြင်းငှါ အပြစ်တရားကို ကျင့်၍ နေရမည်လော။

¹What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

²ထိုသို့မနေရ။ အပြစ်တရားမှ စုတေ့သောသူတို့ သည် ထိုတရား၌ အဘယ်သို့ ရှင်ရဦးမည်နည်း။

²May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?

³ယေရှုခရစ်၌ ဗတ္တိဇံကိုခံသောသူရှိသမျှတို့သည် အသေခံတော်မူခြင်း၌ ဗတ္တိဇံကိုခံကြသည်ဟု သင်တို့ မသိသလော။

³Or don’t you know that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

⁴ထိုကြောင့်၊ အသေခံတော်မူခြင်း၌ ဗတ္တိဇံကို ခံသောအားဖြင့်၊ ထိုသခင်နှင့် အတူသင်္ဂြိုဟ်ခြင်းကို ခံကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ခရစ်တော်သည် ခမည်းတော်၏ ဘုန်းတန်ခိုးအားဖြင့် သေခြင်းမှထမြောက်တော် မူသည်နည်းတူ၊ ငါတို့သည်လည်း အသစ်သောအသက်၌ ကျင်လည်ရကြသတည်း။

⁴We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

⁵တနည်းကား၊ အသေခံတော်မူခြင်း၏ ပုံသဏ္ဌာန်ကိုဆောင်၍၊ ထိုသခင်နှင့်အတူ ငါတို့သည် စိုက်ပျိုးလျက်ရှိသည် မှန်လျှင်၊ ထမြောက်တော်မူခြင်း၏ ပုံသဏ္ဌာန်ကိုဆောင်၍ စိုက်ပျိုးလျက်ရှိကြလိမ့်မည်။

⁵For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection;

⁶ထိုမှတပါး၊ ငါတို့၏လူဟောင်းသည် ထိုသခင်နှင့်အတူ လက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်မှာ အသေသတ်ခြင်းကို ခံပြီဟု ငါတို့သိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါတို့သည် နောက်မှ အပြစ်တရား၏အစေကို မခံစေခြင်းငှါ၊ အပြစ်တရား၏ ကိုယ်ကို ဖျက်ဆီးမည်အကြောင်းတည်း။

⁶knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.

⁷သေသောသူသည် အပြစ်တရား၏ လက်မှ လွတ်လျက်ရှိ၏။

⁷For he who has died has been freed from sin.

⁸ခရစ်တော်သည် သေခြင်းမှထမြောက်သောအခါ၊ သေခြင်းနှင့် အစဉ်ကင်းလွတ်တော်မူ၏။

⁸But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him;

⁹သေခြင်းတရားသည် နောက်တဖန်ကိုယ်တော်ကို မအုပ်စိုးရသည်ကို ထောက်သော်၊ ငါတို့သည် ခရစ်တော်နှင့် အတူသေလျှင်၊ ထိုသခင်နှင့်အတူ ရှင်လိမ့်မည်ဟုသဘော ရှိကြ၏။

⁹knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no more has dominion over him!

¹⁰ခရစ်တော်သည် အသေခံတော်မူရာမှာ၊ အပြစ်တရားကြောင့် တကြိမ်သာခံတော်မူ၏။ အသက် ရှင်တော်မူရမှာ၊ ဘုရားသခင့်အဘို့ ရှင်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁰For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.

¹¹ထိုနည်းတူ သင်တို့သည် အပြစ်တရားနှင့် ဆိုင်သောအရာ၌ကား၊ အသေဖြစ်သည်ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ ဘုရားသခင်နှင့်ဆိုင်သောအရာ၌ကား၊ ငါတို့သခင် ယေရှုခရစ်အားဖြင့် အသက်ရှင်သည်ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ ကိုယ်ကိုကိုယ် ထင်မှတ်ကြလော့။

¹¹Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹²ထိုကြောင့်၊ သင်တို့၏သေတတ်သော ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာ၏တပ်မက်ခြင်းအလိုသို့ လိုက်ရသည်တိုင်အောင်၊ အပြစ်တရားသည် ထိုကိုယ်ခန္ဓာ၌ အစိုးမရစေနှင့်။

¹²Therefore don’t let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

¹³သင်တို့၏ကိုယ်အင်္ဂါများကို ဒုစရိုက်လက်နက် ဖြစ်စေ၍၊ အပြစ်တရားအား မဆက်ကြနှင့်။ သေခြင်းမှ ထမြောက်၍ အသက်ရှင်သောသူကဲ့သို့၊ ဘုရားသခင်အား ကိုယ်ကိုကိုယ်ဆက်ကြလော့။

¹³Neither present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

¹⁴ကိုယ်အင်္ဂါများကိုလည်း သုစရိုက်လက်နက် ဖြစ်စေ၍၊ ဘုရားသခင်အားဆက်ကြလော့။ သင်တို့သည် ပညတ်တရားလက်၌မရှိ၊ ကျေးဇူးတရားလက်၌ရှိသောကြောင့် အပြစ်တရားသည် သင်တို့ကို မအုပ်စိုးရ။

¹⁴For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.

¹⁵ထိုသို့ဖြစ်လျှင် အဘယ်သို့နည်း၊ ငါတို့သည် ပညတ်တရားလက်၌ရှိသောကြောင့်၊ ဒုစရိုက်ကို ပြုရမည် လော။ ထိုသို့မပြုရ။

¹⁵What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? May it never be!

¹⁶အကြင်သူ၏အထံ၌ အစေခံကျွန်ဖြစ်ခြင်းငှါ သင်တို့ဝင်၍ အစေခံ၏၊ ထိုသူသည်သေခြင်းနှင့် ယှဉ်သော အပြစ်တရားဖြစ်စေ၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်ရာသို့ ရောက်ခြင်းနှင့်ယှဉ်သော နားထောင်ခြင်း တရားဖြစ်စေ၊ သင်တို့၏သခင်ဖြစ်သည်ကို မသိကြသလော။

¹⁶Don’t you know that to whom you present yourselves as servants to obedience, his servants you are whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?

¹⁷သင်တို့သည် အပြစ်တရား၏ ကျွန်ဖြစ်ဘူးသော်လည်း၊ ယခုတွင်ခံခဲ့ပြီးသော ဩဝါဒနည်းဥပဒေသ စကားကို စေတနာစိတ်နှင့် နားထောင်ကြသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ကျေးဇူးတော်ကြီးလှပေ၏။

¹⁷But thanks be to God, that, whereas you were bondservants of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto you were delivered.

¹⁸သင်တို့သည် အပြစ်တရား၏ လက်မှလွတ်ကြပြီဖြစ်၍၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းတရား၏ ကျွန်ဖြစ်ကြ၏။

¹⁸Being made free from sin, you became bondservants of righteousness.

¹⁹ထိုသို့ ငါဆိုသော်၊ သင်တို့ဇာတိပကတိအတိုင်း ဥာဏ်နည်းသောကြောင့်၊ လောကီဝေါဟာရအားဖြင့် ဆိုသတည်း။ သင်တို့သည် မိမိတို့ ကိုယ်အင်္ဂါများကို အဓမ္မ အလိုငှါ ညစ်ညူးခြင်းတရား၊ အဓမ္မတရား၌ သွင်း၍ ကျွန်ခံစေကြလော့။

¹⁹I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh, for as you presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness for sanctification.

²⁰သင်တို့သည် အပြစ်တရား၏ ကျွန်ဖြစ်စဉ် ကာလ၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းတရား၏လက်မှ လွတ်ကြ၏။

²⁰For when you were servants of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.

²¹ယခု သင်တို့ရှက်ကြောက်သော ထိုအကျင့်တို့ကို ကျင့်စဉ်အခါ၊ အဘယ်အကျိုးကိုရကြသနည်း။ ထိုသို့သောအကျင့်သည် သေခြင်း၌ လမ်းဆုံးသတည်း။

²¹What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

²²ယခုမူကား၊ သင်တို့သည် အပြစ်တရား၏ လက်မှလွှတ်၍၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ ကျွန်ဖြစ်ကြသည်နှင့် အညီ၊ သန့်ရှင်းခြင်းအကျိုးကိုရကြ၏။ အဆုံး၌လည်း ထာဝရအသက်ကို ရကြလိမ့်မည်။

²²But now, being made free from sin, and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification, and the result of eternal life.

²³အပြစ်တရား၏ အခကားသေခြင်းပေတည်း။ ဘုရားသခင်ပေးတော်မူသော ဆုကျေးဇူးတော်ကား၊ ငါတို့ သခင်ယေရှုခရစ်အားဖြင့် ထာဝရ အသက်ပေတည်း။

²³For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
