¹ဒါရိမင်းကြီး နန်းစံနှစ်နှစ်၊ အဋ္ဌမလတွင်၊ ဣဒေါ သား ဗာရခိ၏သား ပရောဖက်ဇာခရိသို့ ရောက်လာ သော ထာဝရဘုရား၏နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်ဟူမူကား၊

¹In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of Yahweh “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying,

²ထာဝရဘုရားသည် သင်တို့ ဘိုးဘေးများကို အလွန်အမျက်ထွက်တော်မူပြီ။

²“Yahweh was very displeased with your fathers.

³သို့သော်လည်း၊ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား၏အမိန့်တော်ကို သူတို့အား ဆင့်ဆိုရမည် မှာ၊ ငါ့ထံသို့ ပြန်၍လာကြလော့ဟု၊ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။

³Therefore tell them: Thus says Yahweh of Armies: ‘Return to me,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘and I will return to you,’ says Yahweh of Armies.

⁴ရှေးပရောဖက်တို့က၊ သင်တို့မကောင်းသော လမ်း၊ မကောင်းသော အကျင့်များကို ယခု ကြဉ်ရှောင် ကြလော့ဟု၊ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကို ဆင့်ဆိုလျက် ကြွေးကြော်သော်လည်း နားမကြား၊ ငါ့စကားကိုလည်း နားမထောင်သော သင်တို့ ဘိုးဘေးများကဲ့သို့ မပြုကြနှင့်ဟု၊ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော် မူ၏။

⁴Don’t you be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying: Thus says Yahweh of Armies, ‘Return now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings;’ but they did not hear, nor listen to me, says Yahweh.

⁵ဘိုးဘေးတို့သည် အဘယ်မှာ ရှိကြသနည်း။ ပရောဖက်တို့သည် အစဉ်အမြဲ အသက် ရှင်တတ်ကြ သလော။

⁵Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?

⁶ငါ၏ ကျွန်ပရောဖက်တို့၌ ငါမှာထားသော ငါ၏ ပညတ်စကားတို့သည် သင်တို့ ဘိုးဘေးများကို မှီကြပြီ မဟုတ်လော။ သူတို့သည် သတိရ၍ ငါတို့ကျင့်ကြံပြုမူ သည်နှင့်အလျောက်၊ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ဘုရား သခင် ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ငါတို့၌ စီရင်မည်ဟု အကြံ ရှိတော်မူသည်အတိုင်း၊ စီရင်တော်မူပြီဟု ပြောဆိုကြသည် မဟုတ်လောဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁶But my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, didn’t they overtake your fathers? “Then they repented and said, ‘Just as Yahweh of Armies determined to do to us, according to our ways, and according to our practices, so he has dealt with us.’”

⁷ဒါရိမင်းကြီး နန်းစံနှစ်နှစ်၊ ဧကာဒသမလတည်း ဟူသော ရှေဗတ်လနှစ်ဆယ်လေးရက်နေ့တွင်၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်သည် ဣဒေါသားဖြစ်သော ဗာရခိ၏သား ပရောဖက်ဇာခရိသို့ ရောက်လာ၍၊

⁷On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of Yahweh came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying,

⁸ညဉ့်အခါမြင်ရသော ရူပါရုံဟူမူကား၊ မြင်းနီကို စီးသော လူတဦးသည် ထင်ရှား၍ ချိုင့်တွင်ရှိသော မုရတု တော၌ ရပ်၏။ သူ့နောက်မှာနီသောမြင်း၊ ညိုသော မြင်း၊ ဖြူသောမြင်းတို့သည် ရှိကြ၏။

⁸“I had a vision in the night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in a ravine; and behind him there were red, brown, and white horses.

⁹ငါကလည်း၊ အိုသခင်၊ ထိုသူတို့ကား အဘယ်သူ နည်းဟု မေးသော်၊ ငါနှင့်ပြောဆိုသော ကောင်းကင်တမန် က၊ ထိုသူတို့ကား အဘယ်သူဖြစ်သည်ကို ငါပြမည်ဟု ဆိုပြီးမှ၊

⁹Then I asked, ‘My lord, what are these?’” The angel who talked with me said to me, “I will show you what these are.”

¹⁰မုရတုတော၌ ရပ်သော လူက၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် မြေကြီးအရပ်ရပ်တို့ကို လှည့်လည်၍ သွားစေခြင်းငှါ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား စေလွှတ်တော်မူသောသူဖြစ်ကြသည်ဟု ပြန်ပြော၏။

¹⁰The man who stood among the myrtle trees answered, “They are the ones Yahweh has sent to go back and forth through the earth.”

¹¹ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် မြေကြီး အရပ်ရပ်တို့ကို လှည့်လည်၍ သွားပါပြီ။ မြေကြီး တရှောက်လုံး တော၌ရပ်သော ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ကောင်း ကင်တမန်အား ပြန်လျှောက်ကြ၏။

¹¹They reported to the angel of Yahweh who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, “We have walked back and forth through the earth, and behold, all the earth is at rest and in peace.”

¹²တဖန် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန်က၊ အို ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော် သည် အနှစ်ခုနစ်ဆယ်ပတ်လုံး အမျက်ထွက်တော်မူသော ယေရုရှလင်မြို့နှင့် ယုဒမြို့များကို အဘယ်မျှကာလပတ် လုံး မသနားဘဲ နေတော်မူမည်နည်းဟု မေးလျှောက် သော်၊

¹²Then the angel of Yahweh replied, “O Yahweh of Armies, how long will you not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which you have had indignation these seventy years?”

¹³ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ငါနှင့်ပြောဆိုသော ကောင်း ကင်တမန်အား ကောင်းသောစကား၊ နှစ်သိမ့်စေသော စကားပြန်ပြောတော်မူ၏။

¹³Yahweh answered the angel who talked with me with kind and comforting words.

¹⁴ငါနှင့် ပြောဆိုသော ကောင်းကင်တမန်က လည်း၊ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အမိန့်တော်ကို ဆင့်ဆို၍ ကြွေးကြော်ရမည်မှာ၊ ငါသည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့နှင့် ဇိအုန်တောင်အဘို့ အလွန်ကြင်နာ သောစိတ်အားကြီး၏။

¹⁴So the angel who talked with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

¹⁵ငြိမ်ဝပ်စွာနေသော တပါးအမျိုးသားတို့ကို အလွန်အမျက်ထွက်၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါသည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့ကို အနည်းငယ်အမျက်ထွက်သောအခါ သူတို့သည် ဝိုင်း၍ ညှဉ်းဆဲကြပြီ။

¹⁵I am very angry with the nations that are at ease; for I was but a little displeased, but they added to the calamity.”

¹⁶ထိုကြောင့် ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ကျေးဇူးပြုချင်သောစိတ်နှင့် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သို့ ငါပြန်လာ ပြီ။ ဤမြို့တွင် ငါ့အိမ်ကို တည်ဆောက်ရမည်။ မြို့ရာကို လည်း တိုင်းထွာရမည်ဟု၊ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁶Therefore thus says Yahweh: “I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy. My house shall be built in it,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and a line shall be stretched forth over Jerusalem.”’

¹⁷တဖန် ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏အမိန့်တော်ကို ဆင့်ဆို၍ ကြွေးကြော်ရမည်မှာ၊ ငါ၏မြို့ရွာတို့သည် အရပ်ရပ်၌ နှံ့ပြား၍ စည်ပင်ကြလိမ့် မည်။ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ဇိအုန်တောင်သားတို့ကို နှစ် သိမ့်စေဦးမည်။ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သားတို့ကို ရွေးကောက်၍ ပြုစုဦးမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁷“Proclaim further, saying, ‘Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “My cities will again overflow with prosperity, and Yahweh will again comfort Zion, and will again choose Jerusalem.”’”

¹⁸တဖန် ငါမျှော်ကြည့်၍ ဦးချိုလေးချောင်းကို မြင်၏။

¹⁸I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four horns.

¹⁹ငါနှင့် ပြောဆိုသော ကောင်းကင်တမန်အား လည်း၊ ထိုဦးချိုတို့ကား အဘယ်သို့နည်းဟု မေးမြန်းသော်၊ ထိုဦးချိုတို့သည် ယုဒပြည်၊ ဣသရေလပြည်၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့တို့ကို အရပ်ရပ်သို့ ကွဲပြားစေသော ဦးချိုဖြစ်သည်ဟု ပြန်ပြော၏။

¹⁹I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these?” He answered me, “These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”

²⁰ထာဝရဘုရားသည်လည်း လက်သမားလေးဦး တို့ကို ပြတော်မူ၏။

²⁰Yahweh showed me four craftsmen.

²¹ငါကလည်း၊ ဤသူတို့သည် အဘယ်အမှုကို ပြုခြင်းငှါ လာပါသနည်းဟု မေးလျှောက်သော်၊ ကောင်း ကင်တမန်က၊ ထိုဦးချိုတို့သည် အဘယ်သူမျှ မျှော်၍ မကြည့်ဝံ့အောင်၊ ယုဒပြည်သားတို့ကို ကွဲပြားစေသော ဦးချိုဖြစ်ကြ၏။ ဤလက်သမားတို့သည် ယုဒပြည်သားတို့ ကို ခြိမ်းမောင်း၍၊ တပါးအမျိုး၏ ဦးချိုတို့ကို ရှုတ်ချသော သူ ဖြစ်ကြသည်ဟု ပြန်ပြော၏။

²¹Then I asked, “What are these coming to do?” He said, “These are the horns which scattered Judah, so that no man lifted up his head; but these have come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations, which lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”
