¹येशू र उहाँका चेलाहरू समूद्रको अर्को किनारतिर भएका गिरासिन मानिसहरूकहाँ जानूभयो।

¹And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

²जब येशू डुङ्गाबाट बाहिरिनु हुँदै थियो त्यसैबेला चिनहानबाट दुष्ट आत्मा लागेको एउटा मानिस उहाँलाई भेट्न आयो।

²And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

³त्यो मानिस चिहानहरूमा बस्ने गर्दथ्यो। त्यसलाई कसैले अधीन गर्न सकेनन्, यतिसम्म कि साङ्लाले बाँधेर पनि,

³Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

⁴धेरैपल्ट मानिसहरूले त्यसको हात र खुट्टाहरू साङ्लाले बाँधेर राख्ने चेष्टा गरे। तर त्यसले आफ्ना हात र खुट्टामा बाँधेका साङ्लाहरू चुँडाईदिन्थ्यो। त्यसलाई वशमा राख्न कसैको शक्ति थिएन।

⁴Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

⁵रातदिन चिहानको वरिपरि र पहाडतिर त्यो मानिस डुलिरहन्थ्यो। त्यो चिच्याएर रून्थ्यो, अनि आफैले आफैलाई ढुंगाले काट्दै हिंडथ्यो।

⁵And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

⁶जब येशू टाढामा हुनुहुन्थयो, त्यो मानिसले उहाँलाई देख्यो, त्यो येशूकहाँ दगूरेर आयो अनि उहाँका अघि निहुरियो।

⁶But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

⁷And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

⁸For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

⁹त्यसपछि येशूले त्यस मानिसलाई सोध्नु भयो, “तेरो नाम के हो?” त्यसले उत्तर दियो, “मेरो नाऊँ फौज हो, किनभने हामीहरू धेरै छौं।

⁹And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

¹⁰ती दुष्टआत्माहरूले येशूलाई घरि घरि त्यस इलाकाबाट बाहिर निकाला नगरियोस् भनि विन्ती गरे।

¹⁰And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

¹¹त्यहाँ नजिकैको एउटा पहाडमा धेरै सुँगुरहरूको बथान चरिरहेका थिए।

¹¹Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

¹²दुष्टात्माहरूले येशूलाई बिन्ती गर्नलागे, “हामीलाई सुंगुरहरू भएको ठाऊँमा पठाईदिनुहोस्। हामीलाई तिनीहरू भित्र जान दिनुहोस्।”

¹²And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

¹³अनि येशूले तिनीहरूलाई त्यसै गर्न दिनुभयो। ती सुंगुरहरू डुबे, त्यो बगालमा प्राय 2,000 वटा सुंगुरहरू थिए।

¹³And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

¹⁴सुंगुर चराऊनेहरू पनि भागिगए। तिनीहरू शहर र बस्ती तिर गए, तिनीहरूले भएका सबै घटनाहरू मानिसहरूलाई सुनाए तब मानिसहरू घटना हेर्न आए।

¹⁴And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

¹⁵मानिसहरू येशूकहाँ आए, तिनीहरूले दुष्टात्मा लागेका मानिसलाई त्यहाँ देखे, त्यस मानिसले लुगाफाटा पहिरिएको थियो, अनि त्यसको मानसिक अवस्था ठीकै थियो। सबै मानिसहरू भयभीत थीए।

¹⁵And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

¹⁶केही मानिसहरू त्यहाँ थिए जसले येशूले गर्नु भएका कुराहरू देखेका थिए। ती मानिसहरूले अरू मानिसहरूलाई दुष्टात्माले भेट्टाएको त्यस मानिसलाई के भएको थियो त्यो वर्णन गरे। तिनीहरूले सुंगुरहरूको बारेमा पनि सुनाए।

¹⁶And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.

¹⁷अनि मानिसहरूले बिन्ती गर्दैं येशूलाई त्यहाँबाट तुरुन्ते जानूहोस् भने।

¹⁷And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

¹⁸येशू डुङ्गा मा चढदै हुनुहुन्थ्यो,दुष्टात्माहरूदेखि मुक्त भएको त्यस मानिसले येशूसंगै जानलाई बिन्ती गर्यो।

¹⁸And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

¹⁹तर येशूले त्यस मानिसलाई आफूसंग जान अनुमति दिनुभएन। येशूले भन्नुभयो, “आफ्नो घर-परिवार र साथीहरू भएकहाँ जाऊ, प्रभूले तिम्रो निम्ति जे जति गर्नुभएकोछ, त्यस बारे सबैलाई भन। परमेश्वरले मलाई दया गर्नु भयो भनी तिनीहरूलाई भन”

¹⁹Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

²⁰तब त्यो मानिस गयो अनि त्यहाँका दश- शहरका मानिसहरूलाई येशूले गर्नु भएको महान कार्यहरूको बारेमा सुनायो। सबै मानिसहरू चकित भए।

²⁰And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

²¹येशु डुङ्गामा चढेर समुद्रपार गरी समुद्रको अर्को तर्फ जानुभयो। समुद्रको त्यस किनारमा उहाँका वरिपरि धेरै मानिसहरू भेला भए।

²¹And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.

²²सभाघरका एकजना याइरसले येशूलाई देखे, अनि यशूलाई दण्डवत गरे।

²²And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,

²³याईरसले येशूलाई एकोहोरो बिन्ती गरिरहे र भने, आऊनुहोस् र उसमाथि तपाईं को हात राख्नुहोस् त्यसपछि उ निको हुनेछ अनि बाँच्नेछ।”

²³And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.

²⁴अनि येशू याईरससित जानूभयो। धेरै मानिसहरूले येशूलाई पछ्याए। येशूलाई वरिपरि घेरिएको भीडले उहाँलाई धकेलीरहेको थियो।

²⁴And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.

²⁵ती मानिसहरूसंग एउटी आईमाई पनि थिई। त्यस आईमाईलाई बाह्र र्वष अघिदेखि रगत बग्ने व्यथा थियो।

²⁵And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

²⁶त्यो आईमाई खुबै पीडीत थिई। धेरै वैद्यहरूले त्यसको उपचार गरे। आफ्ना भए जति सबै सम्पत्ति त्यसले खर्च गरेकी थिई, तर उसमा सुधार पटक्कै आएन। त्यसको व्यथा अझ बिग्रँदै गयो।

²⁶And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

²⁷त्यस आईमाईले येशूको बारेमा सुनेकी थिई। मानिसहरूको भीडबाट भएर गई त्यस स्त्री पछिल्तिरबाट येशू कहाँ आई अनि उहाँको वस्त्र छोई।

²⁷When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

²⁸त्यसले बिचार गरी, “यदि मैले उहाँको वस्त्र मात्रपनि छुन पाएँ भने म जाती हुनसक्छु।”

²⁸For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

²⁹अनि जब त्यसले उहाँको वस्त्र छोई तत्कालै रगत बग्न बन्द भयो। त्यस त्यस आईमाईले आफ्ना सारा जीउ नै व्यथा मुक्त भएको अनुभव गरी।

²⁹And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

³⁰अनि येशूले आफूबाट शक्ति सन्चार भइरहेको अनुभव गर्नुभयो। उहाँ रोकिनु भयो अनि भीडतर्फ र्फकनुभयो, अनि उहाँले सोध्नु भयो, “कसले मेरो वस्त्र छोयो?’

³⁰And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

³¹चेलाहरूले येशूलाई भने, “तपाईंको वरिपरि यति विध्न मानिसहरू छन। तपाईंलाई ठेल्दैछन्। तर तपाईं सोध्नु हुन्छ मलाई कसले छोयो?”

³¹And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

³²तर येशूले त्यो छुने मानिसलाई पत्ता लगाऊन घरि घरि हेर्न लाग्नु भयो।

³²And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

³³त्यस आईमाईले आफू निको भएको ठानी, अनि त्यो आई अनि येशूको चरणमा घोप्टी त्यो डरले काँपिरहेकी थिई। त्यसले सारा सत्य येशूलाई सुनाई।

³³But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

³⁴येशूले त्यस आईमाईलाई भन्नुभयो, “हे स्त्री, तिमी निको भयौ किनभने तिमीले विश्वास गर्यौ। शान्तिसित जाऊ। अब तिमी तिम्रो रोगबाट मुक्त भयौ।”

³⁴And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

³⁵येशू अझ्झैसम्म त्यहाँ बोलिरहनु भएको थियो। केही मानिसहरू सभाघरका प्रमुखका घरबाट आए, तिनीहरूले भने, “तिम्रो छोरी मरी सकी। अब गुरूज्यूलाई दुख दिने आवश्यकता छैन।”

³⁵While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

³⁶तर मानिसहरूले भनेका कुरामा येशूले वास्ता गर्नु भएन। येशूले सभाघरष्ठ्वका प्रमुखलाई भन्नुभयो, “डराउनु पर्दैन, खालि विश्वास गर।”

³⁶As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

³⁷येशूले पत्रुस, याकूब, याकूबका भाइ यूहन्ना बाहेक अरू कसैलाई पनि उहाँको साथमा आउन अनुमति दिनुभएन।

³⁷And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

³⁸येशू अनि उहाँका चेलाहरू सभाघरका शासकको घरमा जानू भयो। येशूले मानिसहरू चित्कार गरिरहेको अनि रोईरहेको सुन्नु भयो। त्यहाँ खुब अलमल थियो।

³⁸And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

³⁹येसू घरभीत्र पस्नुभयो अनि मानिसहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू किन यत्रो हल्ला मच्चाई रहेछौ? यो केटी मरेको छैन। उ सुती रहेकी छे।”

³⁹And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

⁴⁰तर तिनीहरूले येशूमाथि हाँसो गरे। येशूले सबै मानिसहरूलाई घरदेखि बाहिर जानभन्नु भयो। उहाँले बालिकाको बाबू आमा अनि आफ्ना तीनजना चेलाहरूलाई राख्नु भयो अनि त्यो बालिका भएको कोठाभित्र जानुभयो।

⁴⁰And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

⁴¹अनि बालिकाको हात समातेर येशूले भन्नुभयो, “तालिता कूमी!” (जसको अर्थ, “सानी बालिका, म तिमीलाई भन्दैछु उठ!”)

⁴¹And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

⁴²सानी बालिका जुरूक्कै उठी अनि हिंड्न लागी। (बालिका 12र्वष पुगेकी थिई) बाबु, आमा र चेलाहरू यो देखी छक्क परे।

⁴²And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

⁴³येशूले ती बाबू र आमालाई यसबारेमा कसैलाई पटक्क केही नभन्नु भनेर कडा आज्ञा दिनुभयो, त्यसपछि येशूले त्यस केटीलाई केही खानेकुरा दिनु भनेर अह्राउनुभयो।

⁴³And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
