¹देशबाट निकालिएको बार्हौं वर्षको बाह्रौं महीनाको पहिलो दिन परमप्रभुको वचन मकहाँ आयो। उहाँले भन्नुभयो,

¹And it cometh to pass, in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying,

²“हे मानिसको छोरो! फिराऊन मिश्रको राजाको विषयमा यो दुखको गीत गाऊ। उनलाई भन “‘तिमीले सोचेको थियौ तिमी शक्तिशाली जवान सिंह हौ। देशहरूमा घमण्डसँग घुम्दै थियौ तर साँच्चै तिमी एक अजिङ्गर जस्तै हौ। तिमी पानीको प्रवाहलाई ठेल्दै बाटो बनाउँछौ, अनि आफ्नो खुट्टाले पानी छ्याप्दै, नदीहरू माटै-माटो बनायौ। तिमीले मिश्रको नदीहरूलाई उत्तेजित पार्यौ।”‘

²`Son of man, lift up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and thou hast said unto him: A young lion of nations thou hast been like, And thou [art] as a dragon in the seas, And thou comest forth with thy flowings, And dost trouble the waters with thy feet, And thou dost foul their flowings.

³परमप्रभु मेरा मालिक यी कुराहरू भन्नुहुन्छ “मैले धेरै मानिसहरूलाई एकै ठाँउमा जम्मा पारेकोछु। अब म तिमीमाथि आफ्नो जाल फिजाँउछु। त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले तिमीलाई तान्नेछन्।

³Thus said the Lord Jehovah: And — I have spread out for thee My net, With an assembly of many peoples, And they have brought thee up in My net.

⁴त्यसपछि तिमीलाई सुख्खा जमीनमा झारिदिन्छु! म तिमीलाई खेतमा फ्याँकिदिन्छु। तिमीलाई खानका निम्ति म सबै पंक्षीहरू बोलाउँछु। म प्रत्येक ठाँउबाट जङ्गली पशुहरू तिमीलाई खान अनि पेट भर्नका निम्ति बोलाउँछु।

⁴And I have left thee in the land, On the face of the field I do cast thee out, And have caused to dwell upon thee every fowl of the heavens, And have satisfied out of thee the beasts of the whole earth.

⁵म तिम्रो शरीरलाई पर्वतमाथि तितर-बितर पार्छु। म तिम्रो लाशले बेंसीहरू भरिदिन्छु।

⁵And I have put thy flesh on the mountains, And filled the valleys [with] thy hugeness,

⁶म तिम्रो रगतले पहाड भिजाउनेछु अनि भूमिमा सोसाउँछु। अनि खोला नालाहरू पनि त्यसैले भरिनेछन।

⁶And watered the land with thy flowing, From thy blood — unto the mountains, And streams are filled from thee.

⁷म तिमालाई लोप गराइदिन्छु म आकाशलाई छोपिदिन्छु अनि ताराहरूलाई अँध्यारो पारिदिन्छु। म सूर्यलाई बादलले ढाकिदिन्छु अनि चन्द्रमा चम्किने छैन।

⁷And in quenching thee I have covered the heavens, And have made black their stars, The sun with a cloud I do cover, And the moon causeth not its light to shine.

⁸म सबै चम्किने ज्योतिहरूलाई आकाशमा तिमीमाथि कालो बनाई दिन्छु। म तिम्रो सबै देशमा अँध्यारो पारिदिन्छु।” परमप्रभु मेरा मालिक भन्नुहुन्छ।

⁸All luminaries of light in the heavens, I make black over thee, And I have given darkness over thy land, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah,

⁹“अनि जब म तिमी टुक्रिएका टुक्राहरू अन्य राष्ट्रहरू र देशहरूमा जुन तिमी चिन्दैनौ ल्याउनेछु, धैरे मानिसहरूको हृदयमा कष्ट पुराइदिनेछु।

⁹And I have vexed the heart of many peoples, In My bringing in thy destruction among nations, Unto lands that thou hast not known.

¹⁰म धेरै मानिसहरलाई तिम्रा विषयमा चकित पार्नेछु। तिनीहरूका राजा त्यस समय तिम्रो निम्ति भयभीत हुनेछन्, किनभने जब म उनको सामन्नेमा आफ्नो तरवार चलाउँछु दिनको प्रत्येक क्षणमा जब तिमी तल जान्छौ राजा डरले काम्नेछ। प्रत्येक राजा आफ्नो जीवनको निम्ति डराउनेछ।”

¹⁰And I have made many peoples astonished at thee, And their kings are afraid at thee with trembling, In My brandishing My sword before their faces, And they have trembled every moment, Each for his life — in the day of thy fall.

¹¹किन? किनकि परमप्रभु मेरा मालिक यसो भन्नुहुन्छ “बाबेलको राजाको तरवार तिम्रो विरूद्धमा युद्ध गर्नु आउँछ।

¹¹For thus said the Lord Jehovah: A sword of the king of Babylon entereth thee,

¹²म ती सैनिकहरूको उपयोग गरेर तिम्रो मानिसहरूलाई युद्धमा मार्न लगाउँनेछु। ती सैनिकहरू देशमा सबै भन्दा डरलाग्दा देशहरूबाट आएको हुनेछन्। तिनीहरूले मिश्रको त्यो चीजहरूलाई नष्ट गरिदिनेछन् जसको घमण्ड मिश्रले गर्छ। मिश्रका मानिसहरूलाई नष्ट गरिदिइनेछ।

¹²By swords of the mighty I cause thy multitude to fall, The terrible of nations — all of them, And they have spoiled the excellency of Egypt, And destroyed hath been all her multitude.

¹³मिश्रका नदीहरूको किनारमा धेरै पशुहरूछन्। म ती पशुहरूलाई पनि नष्ट गरिदिन्छु। मानिसहरूले भविष्यमा आफ्नो खुट्टाले पानी मैला पार्नेछैनन्।

¹³And I have destroyed all her beasts, From beside many waters, And trouble them not doth a foot of man any more, Yea, the hoofs of beasts trouble them not.

¹⁴यस्तो प्रकारले म मिश्रको पानीलाई शान्त बनाइदिन्छु, म त्यसको नदीहरूलाई मन्द गति बगाउँनेछु, त्यो तेल जस्तै बग्ने छ।” परमप्रभु मेरो मालिकले यसो भन्नुभयो,

¹⁴Then do I cause their waters to sink, And their rivers as oil I cause to go, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁵“म मिश्र देशलाई रित्तो बनाइदिन्छु, त्यसले प्रत्येक चीज हराउनेछ। म मिश्रमा बस्ने सबैलाई दण्ड दिन्छु। त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले थाहा पाउँनेछन् कि म नै परमप्रभु अनि मालिक हुँ!

¹⁵In My making the land of Egypt a desolation, And desolated hath been the land of its fulness, In My smiting all the inhabitants in it, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah.

¹⁶“यो एउटा विलापको गीत हो, जुन मानिसहरूले मिश्रका निम्ति गाउँछन्। अर्को देशहरूका छोरीहरूले (शहरहरू) मिश्रको विषयमा यो दुखको गीत गाउनेछन्। तिनीहरूले यो मिश्र अनि त्यसको सबै मानिसहरूको विषयमा दुखको गीत गाउँनेछन्।” परमप्रभु मेरो मालिकले यी सबै कुराहरू भन्नुभयो।

¹⁶A lamentation it [is], and they have lamented her, Daughters of the nations do lament her, For Egypt, and for all her multitude, they lament her, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.`

¹⁷देशबाट निकालिएको बाह्रौं वर्षमा त्यही महीनाको पन्ध्रौं दिनमा परमप्रभुको वचन मकहाँ आयो। उहाँले भन्नुभयो,

¹⁷And it cometh to pass, in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying,

¹⁸“हे मानिसको छोरो, मिश्रका मानिसहरूका निम्ति रूँनु। मिश्र अनि ती छोरीहरूलाई शक्तिशाली राष्ट्रहरूबाट चिहान सम्म पुर्याऊ। तिनीहरूलाई खाल्डोमा लैजाऊ जहाँ तिनीहरू ती मानिसहरूसित सम्मलित हुन्छ जो पहिले नै खाल्डामा गइसकेकाछन्।

¹⁸`Son of man, Wail for the multitude of Egypt, And cause it to go down, It — and the daughters of honourable nations, Unto the earth — the lower parts, With those going down to the pit.

¹⁹“मिश्र तिमी अरूभन्दा असल छैनौ। तल मृत्युको ठाँउमा जाऊ। जाऊ अनि बेखतनेहरूसित सुत।

¹⁹Than whom hast thou been more pleasant? Go down, and be laid with the uncircumcised.

²⁰“मिश्रलाई ती अरूहरू सबै मानिसहरूसँग जानुपर्छ जुन युद्धमा मारिएका थिए। शत्रुले उ अनि उसका मानिसहरूलाई टाडा तानेर लगे।

²⁰In the midst of the pierced of the sword they fall, [To] the sword she hath been given, They drew her out, and all her multitude.

²¹“बलिया अनि शक्तिशाली नेताहरू युद्धमा मारिए। ती खतना नभएका मानिसहरू मृत्युको भूमिमा गए। तिनीहरू मिश्रसित अनि यसको सहायकहरू त्यस ठाउँबाट बात गर्नेछन्।

²¹Speak to him do the gods of the mighty out of the midst of sheol, With his helpers — they have gone down, They have lain with the uncircumcised, The pierced of the sword.

²²“अश्शूर अनि त्यसको सबै सेना मृत्युको ठाँउमा छन्। अश्शूरका ती सबै सैनिकहरू युद्धमा मरिएका थिए। तिनीहरूको चिहान अरूको चिहान वरिपरि छन्।

²²There [is] Asshur, and all her assembly, Round about him [are] his graves, All of them [are] wounded, who are falling by sword,

²³तिनीहरूको चिहानहरू अत्यन्तै गहिरो खाडल भित्र छन्। अश्शूरका सबै सेनाहरू युद्धमा मारिएका थिए। अनि तिनीहरूको चिहानहरू उसको चिहानको चारैतिर छन्। जब तिनीहरू जीवित थिए तिनीहरूले मानिसहरूलाई भयभीत पार्थे।

²³Whose graves are appointed in the sides of the pit, And her assembly is round about her grave, All of them wounded, falling by sword, Because they gave terror in the land of the living.

²⁴“एलाम त्यहाँ छ अनि उसका सबै सेनाहरू उसको चिहानको चारैतिर छन्। तिनीहरू सबै युद्धमा मारिएका थिए। ती बेखतने मानिसहरू पृथ्वीको गहिरो भागमा गए। जब तिनीहरू जीवित थिए तिनीहरूले मानिसहरूलाई भयभीत पार्थे। तर तिनीहरूले तिनीहरूको लाज तिनीहरूसितै लिए र गहिरो खाडल भित्र गए।

²⁴There [is] Elam, and all her multitude, Round about [is] her grave, All of them wounded, who are falling by sword, Who have gone down uncircumcised unto the earth — the lower parts, Because they gave their terror in the land of the living, And they bear their shame with those going down to the pit.

²⁵तिनीहरूले एलाम र उसका सैनिकहरूका निम्ति ओछ्यान लगाइ दिए जो युद्धमा मारिए। एलामका सबै मानिसहरू उसको चिहानको वरिपरि छन्। सबै खतना नभएकाहरू जो युद्धमा मारिए जब तिनीहरू जीवित थिए तिनीहरूले मानिसहरूलाई भएभीत बनाए। तर अहिले तिनीहरू जालसित तल गहिरो खाल्डाभित्र गए। तिनीहरूलाई जो पहिले मारिएका थिए तिनीहरूसितै राखियो।

²⁵In the midst of the wounded they have appointed a bed for her with all her multitude, Round about him [are] her graves, All of them uncircumcised, pierced of the sword, For their terror was given in the land of the living, And they bear their shame with those going down to the pit, In the midst of the pierced he hath been put.

²⁶“मेशेक, तूबल अनि त्यसको सम्पूर्ण सेनाहरू त्यहाँ छन्। तिनीहरूको चिहानहरू चारैतिर छन्। यी बेखतनाहरू सबै युद्धमा मारिएका थिए। जब यिनीहरू जीवित थिए तिनीहरूले मानिसहरूलाई भयभीत पार्थे।

²⁶There [is] Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude, Round about him [are] her graves, All of them uncircumcised, pierced of the sword, For they gave their terror in the land of the living,

²⁷तर अब तिनीहरू धेरै अघि मारिएका शक्तिशाली मानिसहरूसित लडिरहेका छन्। तिनीहरू आफ्नो आफ्नो युद्धको हतियारहरूसितै गाडिएका छन। तिनीहरूको टाउको मुनि तिनीहरूका तरवारहरू राखिएको छन्। तर तिनीहरूको पापले तिनीहरूको हड्डी ढाकेको छ। किनभने जब तिनीहरू जीवित थिए तिनीहरूले मानिसहरूलाई आतंकित पार्थे।

²⁷And they lie not with the mighty, Who are falling of the uncircumcised, Who have gone down to sheol with their weapons of war, And they put their swords under their heads, And their iniquities are on their bones, For the terror of the mighty [is] in the land of the living.

²⁸“मिश्र! तिमी पनि नष्ट हुनेछौ। तिमी ती बेखतनेहरूसँग पसारिने छौ। तिमी ती सैनिकहरूसँग सुत्नैछौ जो युद्धमा मारिएका छन्।

²⁸And thou, in the midst of the uncircumcised art broken, And dost lie with the pierced of the sword.

²⁹“एदोम पनि त्यहीं छ। त्यसको राजा अनि अरू शासकहरूसित त्यहाँ छ। ती शक्तिशाली सैनिकहरू पनि छन्। तिनीहरू अब अरूहरूसँग पसारिएका छन्, जो युद्धमा मरेका थिए। ती बेखतनेहरूसित पसारिएका छन्। तिनीहरू ती मानिसहरूसँग पातालमा गएका छन्।

²⁹There [is] Edom, her kings, and all her princes, Who have been given up in their might, With the pierced of the sword, They with the uncircumcised do lie, And with those going down to the pit.

³⁰“उत्तरका सबै शासकहरू त्यहीं छन्। त्यहाँ सीदोनको सबै सैनिकहरूछन्। तिनीहरूको शक्तिले मानिसहरू डराउँथे। तर तिनीहरू लज्जित थिए। ती खतना नभएका मानिसहरूसित अरू मानिसहरूसँग जो युद्धमा मारिएका थिए त्यहाँ सुत्ने छन्। तिनीहरू आफ्नो लाज आफूसँग लिएर तल गहिरो पातालमा गए।

³⁰There [are] princes of the north, All of them, and every Zidonian, Who have gone down with the pierced in their terror, Of their might they are ashamed, And they lie uncircumcised with the pierced of the sword, And they bear their shame with those going down to the pit.

³¹“फिराऊनले ती मानिसहरूलाई देख्नेछन्, जो मृत्यु स्थलमा पुगेका छन् अनि उसका आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई शान्ति हुनेछ। हो, फिराऊन अनि उसका सेनाहरू युद्धमा मारिने छन्।” परमप्रभु मेरा मालिकले यसो भन्नुभयो।

³¹Then doth Pharaoh see, And he hath been comforted for all his multitude, The pierced of the sword — Pharaoh and all his force, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

³²“जति बेला फिराऊन जीवित थियो, उसले मानिसहरूलाई भयभीत गरायो। तर अब उसलाई सबै खतना नभएकाहरूसित सुताइनेछ। फिराऊन अनि उसको सेनाहरू ती सबै अरू सैनिकहरूसँग सुत्ने छन्, जो युद्धमा मरिसकेका छन्।” परमप्रभु मेरो मलिकले यसो भन्नुभयो।

³²For I have given his terror in the land of the living, And he hath been laid down in the midst of the uncircumcised, With the pierced of the sword — Pharaoh, and all his multitude, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!`
