¹परमेश्वरबाट यो वचन यर्मियाकहाँ आएको हो।

¹The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,

²परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वरले भन्नुभयो “यर्मिया, मैले भनेका सबै कुराहरू एउटा पुस्तकमा लेख।

²`Thus spake Jehovah, God of Israel, saying, Write for thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee on a book.

³यसो गर किनभने समय आउनेछ जब म यहूदा र इस्राएलका मेरा मानिसहरूलाई कैदबाट छुटाउनेछु अनि तिनीहरूलाई त्यस देशमा ल्याउनेछु जुन मैले तिनीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरूलाई दिएको थिएँ। तब मेरो मानिसहरू यो देशमा मालिक बनिनेछन्।”

³For, lo, days are coming — an affirmation of Jehovah — and I have turned back [to] the captivity of My people Israel and Judah, said Jehovah, and I have caused them to turn back unto the land that I gave to their fathers, and they do possess it.`

⁴परमेश्वरले यो सन्देश इस्राएल अनि यहूदाका मानिसहरूका बारेमा भन्नु भएको हो।

⁴And these [are] the words that Jehovah hath spoken concerning Israel and concerning Judah:

⁵उहाँले भन्नुभयो “मानिसहरू डरले रोएका हामीले सुनिरहेका छौ। मानिसहरू तर्सेका छन्। त्यहाँ शान्ति छैन।

⁵Surely thus said Jehovah: A voice of trembling we have heard, Fear — and there is no peace.

⁶यो प्रश्न सोध, र यसलाई हेर के एकजना पुरूषले नानी जन्माउनु सक्छ? निश्चय सक्तैन। तब म किन प्रत्येक म बसिरहेको लोग्ने मानिसलाई भूँडीमाथि हात राखी निहुरिएर प्रसव पीडामा परेकी स्त्रीलाई झैं देख्छु। किन हरेक मानिसको अनुहार पहेलो भएको छ?

⁶Ask, I pray you, and see, is a male bringing forth? Wherefore have I seen every man, His hands on his loins, as a travailing woman, And all faces have been turned to paleness?

⁷हाय! त्यो आउने समय कति डरलाग्दो हुनेछ! कुनै समय पनि त्यस्तो डरलाग्दो हुने छैन। याकूबको निम्ति यो अनि दुखको दिन हुनेछ, तर याकूबलाई बचाइनेछ।

⁷Wo! for great [is] that day, without any like it, Yea, a time of adversity it [is] to Jacob, Yet out of it he is saved.

⁸“त्यस बेला,” सेनाहरूका परमप्रभुबाट आएको यो सन्देश हो “म तिमीहरूको काँधबाट जुवाहरू निकालिदिन्छु अनि भाँचिदिनेछु। तिमीहरूलाई बाँधेको बन्धन फुकाइदिनेछु। विदेशीहरूले अब कहिल्यै तिनीहरूलाई दास बनाउनेछैन।

⁸And it hath come to pass, in that day, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, I break his yoke from off thy neck, And thy bands I draw away, And lay no more service on him do strangers.

⁹तिनीहरूले परमप्रभु आफ्ना परमेश्वरलाई अनि तिनीहरूका राजा दाऊदलाई सेवा गर्नेछन्। म त्यो तिनीहरूको राजा पठाइदिनेछु।

⁹And they have served Jehovah their God, And David their king whom I raise up to them.

¹⁰“यसकारण हे याकूब मेरो दास! नडराऊ।” यो परमप्रभुबाट आएको सन्देश हो। “हे इस्राएल! नडराऊ! म तिमीलाई ती सुदूरका देशहरूबाट जोगाएर ल्याउँछु अनि तिमीहरूका सन्तानहरूलाई कैदी बनाउने देशहरूबाट जोगाउनेछु। याकूब फर्कनेछ अनि फेरि शान्ति पाउनेछ र मेरा मानिसहरूलाई भय देखाउनु शत्रु रहेनछैन।

¹⁰And thou, be not afraid, My servant Jacob, An affirmation of Jehovah, Nor be affrighted, O Israel, For, lo, I am saving thee from afar, And thy seed from the land of their captivity, And Jacob hath turned back and rested, And is quiet, and there is none troubling.

¹¹हे इस्राएल र यहूदका मानिसहरू, म तिमीहरूसँग छु।” यो परमेश्वरबाट आएको सन्देश हो। “म तिमीहरूको रक्षा गर्नेछु। मैले तिमीहरूलाई जुन देशहरूमा तितर-बितर पारें ती सब नष्ट पार्नेछु तर तिमीहरूलाई नष्ट पार्दिन। यद्यपि तिमीहरूले तिमीहरूको अनिष्ट कर्मको लागि सजाय भोग्ने पर्नेछ तर म तिमीहरूलाई ठीकसित अनुशासित पार्ने छु।”

¹¹For with thee [am] I, An affirmation of Jehovah — to save thee, For I make an end of all the nations Whither I have scattered thee, Only, of thee I do not make an end, And I have chastised thee in judgment, And do not entirely acquit thee.

¹²परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छ “तिमीहरूको घाउ गहिरो र जाति हुनलाई निकै चर्को पर्छ।

¹²For thus said Jehovah: Incurable is thy breach, grievous thy stroke,

¹³तिमीहरूका निम्ति बोलिदिने कोही छैन। तिमीहरूको घाउ निको पार्न कुनै औषधी पाँउदैनौ।

¹³There is none judging thy cause to bind up, Healing medicines there are none for thee.

¹⁴तिमीहरूका प्रेमीहरूले तिमीहरूलाई भूलेका छन् अनि अहिले तिमीहरूको चिन्ता गर्दैनन्। म तिमीहरूलाई शत्रु सरह घात पुर्याउनेछु। तिमीहरूका धेरै दुष्टकर्महरू र अनगन्ती पापहरूको कारणले म तिमीहरूलाई कडा दण्ड दिनेछु।

¹⁴all loving thee have forgotten thee, Thee they do not seek, For with the stroke of an enemy I smote thee, The chastisement of a fierce one, Because of the abundance of thy iniquity, Mighty have been thy sins!

¹⁵इस्राएल र यहूदा तिमीहरूका कष्टदायक घाउका निम्ति किन रोइरहेका छौ? त्यसको कुनै उपचार नै छैन। मैले तिमीहरूको धेरै दुष्ट कार्यहरू र अनगन्ती पापहरूको कारणले तिमीहरूलाई यस्तो पारेको छु।

¹⁵What! — thou criest concerning thy breach! Incurable [is] thy pain, Because of the abundance of thy iniquity, Mighty have been thy sins! I have done these to thee.

¹⁶यसकारण ती सबै ज-जसले तिमीहरूलाई नष्ट पार्छन तिनीहरूलाई पनि नष्ट परिनेछ। तिम्रा शत्रुहरू सबैलाई कैद गराइन्छ। ती जाति-जातिहरू ज-जसले तिमीहरूलाई नष्ट बनाएका छन। तिनीहरू आफै नष्ट हुनेछन। ती सबै ज-जसले तिमीहरूलाई लुटेका छन् अरूले तिनीहरूलाई लुटनेछन्।

¹⁶Therefore all consuming thee are consumed, And all thine adversaries — all of them — Into captivity do go, And thy spoilers have been for a spoil, And all thy plunderers I give up to plunder.

¹⁷अनि म तिमीहरूका स्वास्थ्य निको पारिदिनेछु। अनि म तिमीहरूका घाउ निको पार्ने छु।” यो परमप्रभुको सन्देश हो, “किनभने अन्य मानिसहरूले तिमीहरूलाई कसैले पनि सियोनको वास्ता गर्दैन भन्दै बहिष्कार गरिएको भनेका छन्।”

¹⁷For I increase health to thee, And from thy strokes I do heal thee, An affirmation of Jehovah, For `Outcast` they have called to thee, `Zion it [is], there is none seeking for her.`

¹⁸परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ “हेर, याकूबका मानिसहरूको भाग्य पुर्नहाल गर्न म जाँदैछु। डेराहरूप्रति दयाममा दया नगर मेरो याकूबको पालहरूमाथि दया रहने छ। ध्वंश भएको ठाउँमा शहर फेरि बनिनेछ अनि राजाको महल ठीक ठाउँमा नै बनिनेछ।

¹⁸Thus said Jehovah: Lo, I turn back [to] the captivity of the tents of Jacob, And his dwelling places I pity, And the city hath been built on its heap, And the palace according to its ordinance remaineth.

¹⁹तिनीहरूबाट धन्यवादको स्तुतिगान र आनन्दको स्वर गुञ्जिनेछ। म तिमीहरूलाई धेरै छोरा-छोरीहरूका निम्ति आशीर्वाद दिनेछु। तिमीहरू कम्ती हुनेछैनन्। म तिनीहरूमा गौरव ल्याउनेछु र तिनीहरूलाई कैसेले तिरस्कार गर्नु पाउने छैनन्।

¹⁹And gone forth from them hath thanksgiving, And the voice of playful ones, And I have multiplied them and they are not few, And made them honourable, and they are not small.

²⁰तिनीहरूका बाल-बच्चाहरूले उहिलेका जस्तो समय पाउनेछन्। तिनीहरूको समुदाय मेरो अघि स्थापित हुनेछ। जसले तिनीहरूमाथि अत्याचार गर्छ म तिमीहरूलाई दण्ड भोगाउनेछु।

²⁰And his sons have been as aforetime, And his company before Me is established, And I have seen after all his oppressors.

²¹तिनीहरू मध्येकै एक मानिस तिनीहरूका शासक हुनेछ। त्यो मानिस उसका मानिसहरूबाट हुनेछ। म उसलाई मेरो नजिक ल्याउनेछु र उ मेरो नजिक आउनेछ। यदि मैले उसलाई नबोलाए कसले मेरो अघि आउने सहास गर्छ, परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ।

²¹And his honourable one hath been of himself, And his ruler from his midst goeth forth, And I have caused him to draw near, And he hath drawn nigh unto Me, For who [is] he who hath pledged his heart To draw nigh unto Me? An affirmation of Jehovah.

²²तिमीहरू मेरो प्रजा हुनेछौ। अनि म तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर हुनेछु।”

²²And ye have been to Me for a people, And I am to you for God.

²³“हेर! परमप्रभुको आँधी! उहाँको क्रोध बाहिर जान्छ! यो र्गजिरहेको आँधी हो! त्यो दुष्ट मानिसको शिरमा बज्रिनेछ।

²³Lo, a whirlwind of Jehovah — Fury hath gone forth — a cutting whirlwind, On the head of the wicked it stayeth.

²⁴परमप्रभुको क्रोध तबसम्म शेष हुदैन जबसम्म उहाँले गर्नु भएको योजना सम्पन्न गर्नु हुन्न। पछिका दिनहरूमा तिमीहरूले यो सब बुझ्नेछौ।”

²⁴The fierceness of the anger of Jehovah Doth not turn back till His doing, Yea, till His establishing the devices of His heart, In the latter end of the days we consider it!
