¹खुशी हौ र परमेश्वर हाम्रो शक्ति हुनुहुन्छ भनी गीत गाऊ। इस्राएल का परमेश्वर तर्फ कराउँदै खुशी मनाऊ।

¹To the Overseer. — `On the Gittith.` By Asaph. Cry aloud to God our strength, Shout to the God of Jacob.

²संगीत प्रारम्भ गर। खैंजडीहरू बजाऊ। सुरमय वीणा बजाऊ।

²Lift up a song, and give out a timbrel, A pleasant harp with psaltery.

³जब हाम्रो विश्राम शुरू हुन्छ। पूर्णिमा लागेको बेला तुरही फुक, औंसी परेको बेला नरसिङ्ग फुक।

³Blow in the month a trumpet, In the new moon, at the day of our festival,

⁴त्यो इस्राएल का मानिसहरूको निम्ति नियम हो। परमेश्वरले याकूबलाई आज्ञा दिनुभयो।

⁴For a statute to Israel it [is], An ordinance of the God of Jacob.

⁵जब परमेश्वरले यूसूफलाई मिश्रबाट निकाली ल्याउनु भयो परमेश्वरले उनीसित यो करार गर्नुभयो। मिश्रमा हामीले नजानेको भाषा सुन्यौ।

⁵A testimony on Joseph He hath placed it, In his going forth over the land of Egypt. A lip, I have not known — I hear.

⁶परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छ, “तिमीहरूको काँधको भारी मैले लिएँ। मैले तिमीहरूको कर्मीको डोको तिमीहरूको हातबाट लिए।

⁶From the burden his shoulder I turned aside, His hands from the basket pass over.

⁷तिम्रा मानिसहरू संकटमा थिए। तिनीहरूले गुहार माँगे र मैले मुक्त पारें। तुफान बोकेको बादलहरूमा म लुकिरहेको थिएँ। त्यहीबाट मैले जवाफ दिएँ, मैले तिनीहरूलाई मरीबाको पानीद्वारा जाँच गरे।”

⁷In distress thou hast called and I deliver thee, I answer thee in the secret place of thunder, I try thee by the waters of Meribah. Selah.

⁸“मेरो मानिसहरू ध्यान देऊ, अनि मेरो कुरा सुन। म तिमीहरूलाई मेरो करार-वचन दिनेछु। इस्राएल , कृपया मेरो कुरा ध्यानले सुन।

⁸Hear, O My people, and I testify to thee, O Israel, if thou dost hearken to me:

⁹कुनै पनि कृत्रिम देवताहरू नमान जुन विदेशीहरूले मान्दछन्।

⁹There is not in thee a strange god, And thou bowest not thyself to a strange god.

¹⁰म, परमप्रभु, तिमीहरूको परमेश्वर हुँ, मैले तिमीहरूलाई मिश्रबाट निकालेर ल्याएँ। इस्राएल , तिमीहरू मुख खोल अनि म खुवाउने छु।

¹⁰I [am] Jehovah thy God, Who bringeth thee up out of the land of Egypt. Enlarge thy mouth, and I fill it.

¹¹“तर मेरो मानिसहरू, तिमीहरूले मेरो कुरा सुनेनौ। इस्राएल ले मेरो आज्ञा पालन गरेन।

¹¹But, My people hearkened not to My voice, And Israel hath not consented to Me.

¹²यसैले तिनीहरू जे-जे चाहन्छन् त्यही गर भनेर छाडी दिएँ, इस्राएल ले आफ्नो मनले चाहेको गर्यो।

¹²And I send them away in the enmity of their heart, They walk in their own counsels.

¹³यदि मेरो मानिसहरूले मेरो कुरा मानेको भए अनि मेरो तरिका अनुसार बसेको भए।

¹³O that My people were hearkening to Me, Israel in My ways would walk.

¹⁴तब म तिनीहरूको शत्रुहरूलाई हराउने थिएँ। म त्यस्ता मानिसहरूलाई दण्ड दिने थिएँ जसले इस्राएल मा संकटहरू ल्याउँदछ।

¹⁴As a little thing their enemies I cause to bow, And against their adversaries I turn back My hand,

¹⁵परमप्रभुका शत्रुहरू डरले काम्नेछन्। तिनीहरूलाई सदा दण्ड दिइनेछ।

¹⁵Those hating Jehovah feign obedience to Him, But their time is — to the age.

¹⁶परमेश्वरले आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई उत्तम गहुँ दिनुभयो। चट्टानले तृप्त नहुञ्जेल सम्म तिनीहरूलाई मह दिए।”

¹⁶He causeth him to eat of the fat of wheat, And [with] honey from a rock I satisfy thee!
