1सुलेमानको सबैभन्दा उत्तम गीत।
1The Song of Songs, that [is] Solomon`s.
2चुम्बनहरूसंग मलाई छुँनुहोस् तपाईंको प्रेम दाखरस भन्दा उत्तम भएकोले तपाईंले मलाई आफ्नो चुम्बनले भरिदिनुहोस्।
2Let him kiss me with kisses of his mouth, For better [are] thy loves than wine.
3तपाईंको नाउँ मुल्यवान अत्तर भन्दा सुगन्धित छ, तपाईंको गन्ध अन्य सबै अत्तरहरू भन्दा उत्तम छ। यसकारण तरूणी केटीहरूले तपाईंलाई माया गर्छन्।
3For fragrance [are] thy perfumes good. Perfume emptied out — thy name, Therefore have virgins loved thee!
4तपाईंको लागि हामी खुशी अनि आनन्दित हुन्छौं। हामी तपाईंको पछि दगुर्ने छौं राजाले मलाई उसको आफ्नो कोठामा ल्याउनु भयो। हामीहरू खुशी अनि आनन्दित हुन्छौं। याद गर्नुहोस् तपाईंको प्रेम दाखरस भन्दा असल छ। यसकारण तरूणी केटीहरूले तपाईंलाई प्रेम गर्छन्।
4Draw me: after thee we run, The king hath brought me into his inner chambers, We do joy and rejoice in thee, We mention thy loves more than wine, Uprightly they have loved thee!
5यरूशलेमकि छोरीहरू हो! म काली तर सुन्दरी छु। केदार र शाल्माको पाल झैं काली छु।
5Dark [am] I, and comely, daughters of Jerusalem, As tents of Kedar, as curtains of Solomon.
6मलाई नहेर, म कति काली छु, मलाई घामले काली पारेको हो। मेरा दाज्यू-भाइहरू म प्रति क्रोधित थिए, त्यसैले तिनीहरूले मलाई उनीहरूको दाखबारीहरू हेर्नु अह्राए, त्यसै कारण मैले आफैंलाई ध्यान पुर्याउन पाइनँ।
6Fear me not, because I [am] very dark, Because the sun hath scorched me, The sons of my mother were angry with me, They made me keeper of the vineyards, My vineyard — my own — I have not kept.
7म तिमीलाई सम्पूर्ण आत्माले प्रेम गर्छु। मलाई भन, तिमी आफ्नो भेडाहरू कहाँ चराउँछौ? मध्य दिनमा तिनीहरूलाई कहाँ विश्राम गराउँछौ? म तिमीलाई भेट्न आउनेछु अथवा तपाईंका साथीहरूको बगाल अघि म किन घुम्टो हालेर बस्ने केटी झैं हुने?
7Declare to me, thou whom my soul hath loved, Where thou delightest, Where thou liest down at noon, For why am I as one veiled, By the ranks of thy companions?
8तिमीलाई निश्चय थाहा छ कि के गर्नु पर्ने हो? स्त्रीहरूमा तिमी सबै भन्दा सुन्दरी छौ। जहाँ थुमा अनि बाख्राका पाठाहरू जान्छन् त्यहाँ पछ्याएर जाऊ आफ्नो बाख्राका पाठाहरूलाई गोठालाहरूको तम्बुको छेउमा चर्न देऊ।
8If thou knowest not, O fair among women, Get thee forth by the traces of the flock, And feed thy kids by the shepherds` dwellings!
9मेरी प्यारी, तिमी मेरो निम्ति यस घोडी भन्दा पनि ज्यादै उत्तेजक छौ जुन घोडी अन्य घोडाहरूसित फिरऊनको रथ तान्छे।
9To my joyous one in chariots of Pharaoh, I have compared thee, my friend,
10ती घोडाहरू तिनीहरूको मुख देखि गर्दनको वरीपरी सम्म राम्ररी सजाइएका छन्।
10Comely have been thy cheeks with garlands, Thy neck with chains.
11तिम्रो निम्ति हामी सुनको लुर्कन चाँदीले मोरेर बनाउँने छौं।
11Garlands of gold we do make for thee, With studs of silver!
12जब राजा आफ्नो कोठामा थिए, मेरो अत्तरको सुगन्ध फैलियो।
12While the king [is] in his circle, My spikenard hath given its fragrance.
13मेरा प्रेमी मुर्ररको सानो झुप्पा झैं हुनुहुन्छ, (गलाको पहिरन) मेरो स्तन माझमा सारा रात बिताउनु हुन्छ।
13A bundle of myrrh [is] my beloved to me, Between my breasts it lodgeth.
14मेरा प्रेमी, मग-मग सुगन्ध दिने, एन-गदीका फूलको गुच्छा जस्तै हुनुहुन्छ जुन एन-गदीको दाखबारीको बगैंचामा फुल्छ।
14A cluster of cypress [is] my beloved to me, In the vineyards of En-Gedi!
15मेरी प्रियतमा, तिमी अत्यधिक राम्री छौ, आहा! तिमी साँच्चै राम्री छौ, तिम्रा आखाँहरू ढुकुरका झैं सुन्दर छन्।
15Lo, thou [art] fair, my friend, Lo, thou [art] fair, thine eyes [are] doves!
16मेरो प्रेमी तपाईं असाध्य सुन्दर हुनुहुन्छ, साँच्चै तपाईं मनोहर हुनुहुन्छ! हाम्रो ओछ्यान हरियो घाँसको चउर जस्तो छ।
16Lo, thou [art] fair, my love, yea, pleasant, Yea, our couch [is] green,
17हाम्रा घरका आड दिने काठहरू र देवदारका छानाका छन् डाँडा भाटाहरू सल्लाका छन्।
17The beams of our houses [are] cedars, Our rafters [are] firs, I [am] a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys!
