1तिमीहरूमध्ये एक जनाको अर्को भाईसंग झगडा भएको छ, भने न्यायको निम्ति सन्तहरूकहाँ नगएर अधर्मीकहाँ जाने के त्यसले आँट गर्छ?
1Dare any one of you, having a matter against another, prosecute his suit before the unjust, and not before the saints?
2के तिमीहरूलाई थाहा छैन परमेश्वरका मानिसहरू संसारकै न्याय गर्छन्? यदि तिमीहरूले संसारको न्याय गर्दैछौ भने तिमीहरूको आपसको सानो कलह किन मिलाउदैनौ?
2Do ye not then know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world is judged by you, are ye unworthy of [the] smallest judgments?
3तिमीहरू जान्दछौ भविष्यमा हामी स्वर्गदूतहरूको न्याय गर्ने छौं। तब हामी राम्ररी यस्ता दैनिक जीवनका विषयका कुराहरू न्याय गर्न सक्छौं।
3Do ye not know that we shall judge angels? and not then matters of this life?
4यसर्थ न्याय गरिनु पर्ने त्यस्ता मतभेद भए त्यसलाई किन बाहिरका मानिसहरूकहाँ लैजान्छौ? मण्डलीका निम्ति तिनीहरू कोही पनि होइनन्।
4If then ye have judgments as to things of this life, set those [to judge] who are little esteemed in the assembly.
5म तिमीहरूलाई शर्ममा पार्न यो भन्छु। तिमीहरूका समूहमा, कोही न कोही ज्ञानी जनहरू अवश्यै होलान् जसले दुइ भाइहरूको माझको कलह न्याय गर्न सक्लान्।
5I speak to you [to put you] to shame. Thus there is not a wise person among you, not even one, who shall be able to decide between his brethren!
6तर अहिले, एउटा भाइ अर्को भाइको विरूद्धमा अदालत जान्छ। अझ यो भन्दा खराब त तिनीहरू यस्ता मानिसहरूलाई अपील गर्छौ जो विश्वासीहरू होइन।
6But brother prosecutes his suit with brother, and that before unbelievers.
7एका अर्कोको विरुद्धमा मामला लाउनु नै तिमीहरूको हार हो। बरू अन्याय किन नसहनु? बरू किन आफै ठगिदैनौ?
7Already indeed then it is altogether a fault in you that ye have suits between yourselves. Why do ye not rather suffer wrong? why are ye not rather defrauded?
8तिमी आफै गल्ती गर्छौ अनि अरूलाई ठग्छौ। अनि त्यो पनि आफ्नै ख्रीष्टको दाज्यु-भाईहरू माझ!
8But *ye* do wrong, and defraud, and this [your] brethren.

9Do ye not know that unrighteous [persons] shall not inherit [the] kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who make women of themselves, nor who abuse themselves with men,
10[This verse may not be a part of this translation]
10nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor abusive persons, nor [the] rapacious, shall inherit [the] kingdom of God.
11अघि तिमीहरू पनि कतिपय यस्तै थियौ। तर अब तिमीहरू धोइएका छौ, पवित्र बनाइएका छौ अनि हाम्रा प्रभु ख्रीष्टको नाउँमा अनि हाम्रा परमेश्वरको आत्माद्वारा तिमीहरू परमेश्वरको निम्ति धार्मिक बनाइएका छौ।
11And these things were some of you; but ye have been washed, but ye have been sanctified, but ye have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
12“सबै कुरा मेरा निम्ति असल छन्, तर सबै कुरा फाइदा का छैनन्। “म जे गर्न पनि स्वतन्त्र छु।” तर म कुनैलाई आफ्नो मालिक हुन दिने छुइन्।
12All things are lawful to me, but all things do not profit; all things are lawful to me, but *I* will not be brought under the power of any.
13“भोजन पेटको निम्ति हो र पेट भोजनको निम्ति हो।” यो ठिक हो। तर परमेश्वरले ती दुवैलाई नाश पार्नु हुनेछ। शरीर यौन अपराधको निम्ति होइन शरीर प्रभुको निम्ति हो र प्रभु शरीरका निम्ति हुनु हुन्छ।
13Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats; but God will bring to nothing both it and them: but the body [is] not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
14परमेश्वरले आफ्नो शक्तिले प्रभु येशूलाई मृत्युबाट बौराउनु भयो। परमेश्वरले हामीलाई पनि मृत्युबाट बौराउनु हुनेछ।
14And God has both raised up the Lord, and will raise us up from among [the dead] by his power.
15तिमीहरूको शरीरहरू ख्रीष्टका अंगहरू हुन् यो कुरो तिमीहरूलाई थाहा छ। यसैले मैले ख्रीष्टका अंगहरूलाई कुनै वेश्याको अंगसित एक बनाउनु हुदैंन।
15Do ye not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then, taking the members of the Christ, make [them] members of a harlot? Far be the thought.
16शास्त्रमा लेखिएको छः “ती दुइजना मानिसहरू एक जीउ बन्नेछ।” यसैले तिमीहरूले बुझनु पर्छ वेश्यासित यौन सम्बन्ध राख्ने मानिस वेश्याकै शरीरसित एक बन्नेछ।
16Do ye not know that he [that is] joined to the harlot is one body? for the two, he says, shall be one flesh.
17तर जो प्रभुसित जोडिन्छ त्यो मानिस आत्मामा प्रभु सितै एक बन्दछ।
17But he that [is] joined to the Lord is one Spirit.
18यसैकारण यौन पापदेखि अलग हौ। मानिसले अरू जुन सुकै अपराध गरोस् त्यो शरीरदेखि बाहिर हुँदछ तर उसले गरेको यौन अपराध आफ्नै शरीरको विरुद्ध हुनेछ।
18Flee fornication. Every sin which a man may practise is without the body, but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.
19तिमीले बुझ्नु पर्छ कि तिम्रो शरीर पवित्र आत्माको मंदिर हो। पवित्र आत्माको मंदिर हो। पवित्र आत्मा तिमीभित्र छ। परमेश्वरबाट तिमीले त्यो पवित्र आत्मा पाएकाछौ यसकारण तिमी आफ्नो मालिक होइनौ।
19Do ye not know that your body is [the] temple of the Holy Spirit which [is] in you, which ye have of God; and ye are not your own?
20परमेश्वरद्वारा मोल तिरेर तिमी किनिएकाछौ। यसैले आफ्नो शरीरद्वारा परमेश्वरको सम्मान गर।
20for ye have been bought with a price: glorify now then God in your body.
