¹परमेश्वरले मोशालाई भन्नु भयो, “तिमी, हारून, नादाब, अबीहू अनि सत्तरी इस्राएलका जना अरू बूढा-प्रधानहरूसित पर्वतमाथि आउनु पर्छ अनि टाढोबाट मेरो आराधना गर्नु पर्छ।

¹And he said to Moses, Go up to Jehovah, thou and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship afar off.

²तब मोशा परमप्रभु सामुन्ने आफैं आउनेछन् तर अन्य मानिसहरू परमप्रभु नजिक जाने छैनन् अनि रहल मानिसहरूले पर्वतमाथिसम्म पनि जानु हुँदैन।”

²And let Moses alone come near Jehovah; but they shall not come near; neither shall the people go up with him.

³मोशाले मानिसहरूलाई परमप्रभुले बताका सबै आदेश र निर्देनशहरू बताए। तब मानिसहरू भने, “परमप्रभुले भन्नु भएका सबै आदेश तथा निर्देशहरू हामी पालन गर्नेछौं।”

³And Moses came and told the people all the words of Jehovah, and all the judgments; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words that Jehovah has said will we do!

⁴अनि मोशाले परमप्रभुका सबै आज्ञाहरू लेखे। अर्को बिहान मोशाले पर्वतको फेदीमा एउटा वेदी बनाए अनि इस्राएलीहरूको बाह्र कुल समूहहरूलाई प्रतिनिधित्व गराउनु बाह्रबटा ढुङ्गाहरू राखे।

⁴And Moses wrote all the words of Jehovah, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the mountain, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

⁵तब मोशाले केही इस्राएली युवकहरूलाई बलिहरू चढाउन पठाए। ती मानिसहरूले परमप्रभुलाई होमबलि र मेलबलिको रूपमा गोरूहरू चढाए।

⁵And he sent the youths of the children of Israel, and they offered up burnt-offerings, and sacrificed sacrifices of peace-offering of bullocks to Jehovah.

⁶मोशाले बलिको आधा रगत जोगाएर कचौरामा राखे। र आधा वेदीमाथि छर्किए।

⁶And Moses took half the blood, and put [it] in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

⁷मोशाले करारको पुस्तक मानिसहरूका निम्ति पढे अनि मानिसहरूले भने, “परमप्रभुले आदेश गर्नु भएको प्रत्येक चीज हामी गर्ने छौं।”

⁷And he took the book of the covenant, and read [it] in the ears of the people; and they said, All that Jehovah has said will we do, and obey!

⁸तब मोशाले बलिको गोरूको रगत भएको कचौरा लिए अनि मानिसहरूमाथि छर्के। उनले भने, “परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूसित विशेष करार गर्नु भएकोछ भनी यस रगतले देखाउँछ। परमेश्वरले बनाउनु भएका नियमहरू यस करारको एउटा अंश हो।”

⁸And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled [it] on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant that Jehovah has made with you concerning all these words.

⁹तब मोशा, हारून, नादाब, अबीहू र 70 जना इस्राएलका बूढा-प्रधानहरू पर्वतमा चढे।

⁹And Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up;

¹⁰इस्राएलीहरूले इस्राएलका परमेश्वरलाई केही चीजमाथि जो आकाश जस्तो स्वच्छ नीलम देखियो उभिरहनु भएको देखे।

¹⁰and they saw the God of Israel; and there was under his feet as it were work of transparent sapphire, and as it were the form of heaven for clearness.

¹¹इस्राएलीहरूको अगुवाहरूले परमेश्वरलाई देखे तर उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई ध्वंश पार्नु भएन। तिनीहरू सबैले संगै खाए अनि पिए।

¹¹And on the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: they saw God, and ate and drank.

¹²परमप्रभुले, मोशालाई भन्नु भयो, “पर्वतमाथि मकहाँ आऊ। मैले मेरा शिक्षाहरू र नियमहरू ढुङ्गाको पाटीहरूमा लेखेको छु। ती पाटीहरू म तिमीलाई दिनेछु।”

¹²And Jehovah said to Moses, Come up to me into the mountain, and be there; and I will give thee the tables of stone, and the law, and the commandment that I have written, for their instruction.

¹³यसकारण मोशा र उसका सहायक यहोशू उठे अनि मोशा परमेश्वरको पर्वतमाथि चढे।

¹³And Moses rose up, and Joshua his attendant; and Moses went up to the mountain of God.

¹⁴मोशाले बूढा-प्रधानहरूलाई भने, “हामीहरू नफर्कुञ्जेल यही पर्ख। जब म जान्छु, तिमीहरूबीच कसैको झगडा भए हारून र हूर कहाँ लानु पर्छ।”

¹⁴And he said to the elders, Wait here for us, until we return to you; and behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matter, let him come before them.

¹⁵तब मोशा पर्वतमाथि गए, र पर्वत बादलले ढाकेको थियो।

¹⁵And Moses went up to the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

¹⁶परमप्रभुको महिमा सीनै पर्वतमा आयो। बादलले छ दिनसम्म पर्वतलाई ढाक्यो। सातौं दिनमा परमप्रभुले मोशासंग बादलबाट कुरा गर्नु भयो।

¹⁶And the glory of Jehovah abode on mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days; and on the seventh day he called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

¹⁷परमप्रभुको महिमा इस्राएलीहरूको दृष्टिमा पर्वतमाथि जलिरहको आगो झैं प्रकट भयो।

¹⁷And the appearance of the glory of Jehovah was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain, before the eyes of the children of Israel.

¹⁸तब मोशा अझै धेरै बादलभित्र गए। पर्वतमाथि मोशा चालीस दिन र चालीस रात बसे।

¹⁸And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and ascended the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
