1त्यस प्रदेशका यी मानिसहरू कैदबाट फर्केका थिए। जसलाई बाबेलका राजा नबूकदनेसरले कैदी बनाएर बाबेलमा लगेका थिए। तिनीहरू प्रत्येक आफ्नै शहर यरूशलेम अनि यहूदामा फर्किए।
1And these are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and who came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one to his city,
2यी मानिसहरू ती छुन जो यरूबाबेल, येहूअ, नहेम्याह, सरायाह, रेलायाह, मोर्दकै, बिल्शान, मिस्पार, बिग्बै अनि रहूम बानाहरू साथ फर्कि आएका थिए। इस्राएलको प्रजाका पुरूषहरूको सूची यो होः

56the children of Jaalah, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
57शपत्याहका सन्तान, हत्तीलका सन्तान र पोकरेत हसबायीमका सन्तान अनि आमीका सन्तानहरू
57the children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth-Hazzebaim, the children of Ami.
58समस्त मन्दिरका सेवकहरू अनि सुलेमानका सेवकहरूको संख्या 392 थियो।
58All the Nethinim and the children of Solomon's servants, three hundred and ninety-two.
59निम्न लिखित मानिसहरू तेल मेलह, तेल हर्शा करूब, आदान अनि एम्मेर शहरहरूबाट यरूशलेममा आएका हुन्, तर तिनीहरूका आफ्ना परिवार अनि छोरा-छोरीहरू इस्राएलका थिए भनी प्रमाण दिन सकेनन्।
59And these are they that went up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub-Addan, Immer; but they could not shew their fathers' house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.
60दलायाहका सन्तान, तोबियाहका सन्तान, अनि नकोदका सन्तानहरू 652 थिए।
60The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobijah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred and fifty-two.
61अनि पूजाहारीहरूका परिवारः हबायाहका, सन्तानहरू, हक्कोसका सन्तान अनि र्बजिलैका सन्तानबाट (एक व्यक्ति जसले गिलादी र्बजिलैका छोरीलाई विवाह गरेका थिए, अनि तिनीहरू कै नाउँ द्वारा सम्बोधन गरिथ्यो।)
61And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai; who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name.
62यी मानिसहरूले तिनीहरूको परिवारिक इतिहास खोजे तर तिनीहरूले पाउन सकेनन्। यसैकारणले तिनीहरूले पूजाहरीगिरी हुनबाट अशुद्ध झैं निकालिदिए।
62These sought their genealogical register, but they were not found; therefore were they, as polluted, removed from the priesthood.
63राज्यपालले तिनीहरूलाई भने कि जब सम्म ऊरीम अनि तुम्मिम उपयोग गर्न सक्ने पूजाहारी त्यहाँ हुँदैन। कुनै पनि महापवित्र चीज तिनीहरूले खान सक्ने छैनन्।
63And the Tirshatha said to them that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.

64The whole congregation together was forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty,

65besides their servants and their maids, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven; and they had two hundred singing men and singing women.

66Their horses were seven hundred and thirty-six; their mules two hundred and forty-five;

67their camels four hundred and thirty-five; the asses six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
68सन्तानका केहि अगुवाहरू, जब यरूशलेम मा परमप्रभुको मन्दिरमा आइपुगे। त्यो स्थानमा परमेश्वर को मन्दिरलाई पुनःर्निर्माण गर्न स्वेच्छाले भेटीहरू प्रदान गरे।
68And some of the chief fathers, when they came to the house of Jehovah which is at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in its place.
69तिनीहरूको योग्यतानुसार तिनीहरूले, यस कार्यका निम्ति कोष-भण्डारलाई 500 किलोग्राम सुन, 3,000 किलोग्राम चाँदी, अनि पूजाहारीको निम्ती 100 अङ्ग वस्त्रहरू दिए।
69They gave after their ability to the treasure of the work sixty-one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand pounds of silver, and one hundred priests' coats.
70पूजाहारीहरू, लेवीहरू, केहि अन्य मानिसहरू, गवैयाहरू, द्वारपालहरू अनि मन्दिरका सेवकहरू आफ्ना शहरहरूमा बस्थे अनि सबै इस्राएलीहरू आफ्ना शहरहरूमा बस्थे।
70And the priests, and the Levites, and [some] of the people, and the singers, and the doorkeepers, and the Nethinim dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
