1परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नभयो,
1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
2“इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई आदेश देऊ तिनीहरूले निरन्तर ज्योतिको निम्ति आफैंले भद्राक्ष पिसेर तयार पारेको शुद्ध तेल ल्याउनु पर्छ।
2Command the children of Israel that they bring unto thee pure beaten olive oil for the light, to light the lamp continually.
3परमप्रभुअघि भेट हुने पालमा करार सन्दुकको पर्दा बाहिर साँझबाट बिहान नहुञ्जेलसम्म हारूनले निरन्तर बत्ती जलाऊन्। यो विधि तिमीहरूका सन्तान बाँचुञ्जेलसम्म सधैं चलिरहनेछ।
3Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, shall Aaron dress it from evening to morning before Jehovah continually: [it is] an everlasting statute throughout your generations.
4हारूनले परमप्रभुको अघि सुनौलो बत्तीदानमा निरन्तर बत्ती जलाइरहनेछन्।
4Upon the pure candlestick shall he arrange the lamps before Jehovah continually.
5“मसिनो पीठोको बाह्रवटा रोटी प्रत्येक रोटीमा सोलह बटुको पीठो प्रयोग गरेर पकाऊ।
5And thou shalt take fine wheaten flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof; each cake shall be of two tenths.
6परमप्रभुअघि प्रत्येक पंक्तिमा छवटा गरेर सुनको मेचमा रोटी सजाऊ।
6And thou shalt set them in two rows, six in a row, upon the pure table before Jehovah.
7प्रत्येक पंक्तिमा शुद्ध सुगन्धित धूप जलाऊ। यसले परमप्रभुलाई आगोद्वारा बलि चढाएको सम्झना गराउन सहायता गर्छ।
7And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row; and it shall be a bread of remembrance, an offering by fire to Jehovah.
8प्रत्येक विश्रामको दिन हारूनले परमप्रभुअघि यसरी रोटी राखुन्। इस्राएलका मानिसहरूको निम्ति यो करार सधैंको निम्ति रहनेछ।
8Every sabbath day he shall arrange it before Jehovah continually, on the part of the children of Israel: [it is] an everlasting covenant.
9हारून र उनका छोराहरूले पवित्र स्थलमा त्यो रोटी खानेछन्। किन? किनभने त्यो रोटी धेरै पवित्र छ। यो परमप्रभुको निम्ति आगोद्वारा जलाएर चढाइने बलिहरूमा एउटा हो र यो हारूनको निम्ति स्थायी अंश हुनेछ।”
9And it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy unto him of Jehovah's offerings by fire: [it is] an everlasting statute.
10इस्राएली आमा र मिश्री पिताको एकजना छोरा थियो जो इस्राएलमा बस्थ्यो। त्यो मानिस इस्राएलीहरूको माझमा थियो अनि एक दिन उसले अर्को इस्राएलीसित लडाइँ गर्नु शुरू गर्यो।
10And the son of an Israelitish woman -- but withal the son of an Egyptian, -- went out among the children of Israel; and this son of the Israelitess and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;
11इस्राएली आमाको छोरोले सराप्दै परमप्रभुको नामको नराम्रो कुरा गर्यो अनि मानिसहरूले उसलाई मोशाकहाँ ल्याए। (आमाको नाम शलोमीत थियो अनि तिनी दान कुलकी दिब्रीकी छोरी थिइन्।)
11and the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. And his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.
12मानिसहरूले त्यस मानिसलाई कैदी झैं पक्रिए अनि स्पष्ट न्यायको निम्ति परमप्रभुको आज्ञाको लागि पर्खे।
12And they confined him, that they might decide at the mouth of Jehovah.
13तब परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नभयो,
13And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
14“मानिसलाई ल्याऊ जसले शिविरबाहिर सराप्यो। ती जसले उसको सराप सुने तिनीहरूलाई पनि बोलाऊ अनि ती तिनीहरूले आफ्ना हात उसको टाउकोमा राख्नु पर्छ। तब इस्राएलको सम्पूर्ण समुदायले उसमाथि मरूञ्जेसम्म ढुङ्गाले हिर्काउनु पर्छ।
14Lead the reviler outside the camp; and all that heard [him] shall lay their hands upon his head, and the whole assembly shall stone him.
15तिमीले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई भनः “यदि कुनै मानिसले आफ्नो परमेश्वरलाई सराप्छ भने उसलाई दण्ड दिनु पर्छ।
15And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Every one when he revileth his God shall bear his sin.
16यदि कुनै मानिसले परमप्रभुको निन्दा गर्छ अथवा सराप्छ इस्राएलको सम्पूर्ण समुदायले उसलाई ढुङ्गाले हिर्काएर मार्नुपर्छ। यदि एउटा विदेशीले निन्दा गर्छ भने उसलाई अवश्यै मार्नु पर्छ जस्तो इस्राएलमा जन्मएको निन्दालाई मार्छ।
16And he that blasphemeth the name of Jehovah shall certainly be put to death; all the assembly shall certainly stone him; as well the stranger as he that is home-born, when he blasphemeth the Name, shall be put to death.
17“अनि यदि एकजना मानिसले कुनै अर्को मानिसको हत्या गर्छ भने त्यसलाई मार्नुपर्छ।
17And if any one smiteth any man mortally, he shall certainly be put to death.
18यदि कुनै व्यक्तिले अर्काको पशुलाई मारे त्यसले बदलामा अर्को एउटा पशु दिनुपर्छ।
18And he that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good, life for life.
19अनि यदि कुनै मानिसले अर्को मानिसलाई चोट ल्याउँछ। त्यस मानिसलाई पनि चोट नै पारि दिनुपर्छ।
19And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour, as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;
20हड्डी भाँचेको भए हुड्डी नै भाँची दिनुपर्छ एउटा आँखा फुटाई दिएको भए उसको पनि आँखा नै फुटाइदिन पर्छ र दाँत भाँची दिएको भए त्यसको पनि दाँत नै भाँची दिनुपर्छ। जे जस्तो चोट पारेकोछ त्यसलाई पनि त्यही गर्नुपर्छ।
20breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him.
21यदि कसैले कुनै मानिस मारे त्यो मार्ने मानिसलाई पनि मार्नुपर्छ। यदि कसैले अर्को कसैको पशु मारे त्यसले पनि उसको साटोमा एउटा त्यस्तै पशु दिनुपर्छ।
21He that smiteth a beast [mortally] shall make it good; and he that smiteth a man [mortally] shall be put to death.
22“कानून् विदेशीको निम्ति अनि आफ्नो देशका मानिसहरूको निम्ति साँचो रहनेछ। किन? किनभने म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूको परमेश्वर हुँ।”
22Ye shall have one law: as the stranger, so the home-born; for I am Jehovah your God.
23तब मोशाले मानिसहरूलाई यी कुराहरू बताए अनि तिनीहरूले जसले सरापेको थियो त्यस मानिसलाई पाल बाहिर ल्याएर ढुङ्गले हिर्काएर मारे। यसर्थ इस्राएलीहरूले त्यही गरे जो परमप्रभुले मोशालाई आज्ञा दिनु भएको थियो।
23And Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they led the reviler outside the camp and stoned him with stones. And the children of Israel did as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
