1परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
2“इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई भन, तिनीहरूले बाह्र पुर्खाका कुल-कुलबाट बाह्रवटा लौरोहरू ल्याऊन्। प्रत्येक लौरामा आफ्नो नाम लेख।
2Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of them a staff, a staff for each father's house, of all their princes according to the houses of their fathers, twelve staves: thou shalt write each one's name upon his staff.
3लेवी कुलबाट ल्याएको लौरामा हारूनको नाम लेख। बाह्र कुल समूहको प्रत्येक कुल प्रमुख मानिसको निम्ति एउटा लौरो हुनुपर्छ। यी लौरोहरू भेट हुने पालमा करारको सन्दूक अघि राख। त्यो त्यही ठाँउ हो जहाँ म तिमीलाई भेट्छु।
3And Aaron's name shalt thou write upon the staff of Levi; for one staff shall be for [each] head of their fathers' houses.
4इमान्दार पूजाहारीको निम्ति म एकजना व्यक्तिलाई चुन्छु। म जसलाई चुन्छु त्यस व्यक्तिलाई तिमीले चिन्न सक्छौ कारण
4And thou shalt lay them up in the tent of meeting before the testimony, where I meet with you.
5उसको लौरोमा नयाँ पालुवाहरू पलाउनेछन्। यस प्रकारले तिम्रो र मेरो विरोध गर्ने मानिसहरूलाई म रोक्छु।”
5And it shall come to pass, that the man whom I shall choose, his staff shall bud forth; and I will make to cease from before me the murmurings of the children of Israel, that they murmur against you.
6त्यसपछि मोशाले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई भने अनि तिनीहरूका बाह्र कुल नायकहरू प्रत्येकलाई एउटा-एउटा गरी बाह्रवटा लौरोहरू दिए। हारूनको लौरो पनि अरू लौरोहरूसितै थियो।
6And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, and all their princes gave him a staff, one staff for each prince according to their fathers' houses, twelve staves, and the staff of Aaron was among their staves.
7मोशाले लौरोहरू करारको सन्दूक राखिएको पालमा परमप्रभुको अगाडी राखे।
7And Moses laid the staves before Jehovah in the tent of the testimony.
8करारको सन्दूक भएको पाल भित्र मोशा अर्को दिन पसे। अनि लेवी कुल समूहका नायक हारूनको लौरोमा पालुवा पलाएको देखे। त्यति मात्र नभई त्यस पालुवाले कोपिला हालेर फूली बदाम पनि फलेको थियो।
8And it came to pass, when on the morrow Moses went into the tent of the testimony, behold, the staff of Aaron for the house of Levi had budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and ripened almonds.
9मोशाले ती सबै लौरोहरू परमप्रभुको अघिबाट सबै मानिसहरूको सामुन्ने ल्याए। प्रत्येक कुल प्रमुखले आफ्नो आफ्नो लौरो चिने।
9And Moses brought out all the staves from before Jehovah to all the children of Israel, and they looked and took each one his staff.
10तब परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नु भयो, “हारूनको लौरो करारको सन्दूक अघि लगेर राख। यो सधैं मेरो विरोधमा नालिश गरी रहनेहरूको निम्ति चेतावनी हुनेछ र मेरो विरोधमा नालिश गर्न बन्द हुनेछ र मैले तिनीहरूलाई ध्वंश पार्नु पर्दैन।”
10And Jehovah said to Moses, Bring Aaron's staff again before the testimony, to be kept as a token for the sons of rebellion, that thou mayest put an end to their murmurings before me, that they may not die.
11यसर्थ मोशाले परमप्रभुको आज्ञा अनुसार काम गरे।
11And Moses did so: as Jehovah had commanded him, so did he.
12तर इस्राएली मानिसहरूले मोशालाई भने, “हामी जान्दछौ कि हामी मर्नेछौ। हामी नष्ट भइसकेका छौं। हामी ध्वंश भयौं।
12And the children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, Lo, we expire, we perish, we all perish.
13प्रत्येक मानिस जो परमप्रभुको पवित्र पाल नजिक जान्छ त्यो मर्छ। के हामी पनि मर्छौं?” पूजाहारीहरू र लेवीहरूको काम
13Every one that comes at all near to the tabernacle of Jehovah shall die: shall we then expire altogether?
