1परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
1And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying,
2“हारूनलाई भन जब तिमी बत्तीहरू जलाउँछौ, सातवटा बत्तीहरूले सामदानको अघिको क्षेत्रमा प्रकाश पार्नु पर्छ।”
2Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.
3यसकारण हारूनले यसै गरे। हारूनले बत्तीहरू ठीक ठाँउमा राखेर ठीक दिशा तिर फर्काए ताकि सामदान अघिको क्षेत्रलाई ती बत्तीहरूले उज्जयालो पार्न सकोस्। परमप्रभुले मोशालाई दिनुभएको आज्ञा तिनले पुरा गरे।
3And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
4सामदान यस प्रकारले बनिएको थियोः सामदान सुन पिटेर बनाइएको थियो अनि यो यसको बैठकदेखि फूलहरू सम्म पिटिएको थियो। त्यो सामदान त्यही ढाँचामा बनिएको थियो परमप्रभुले जुन मोशालाई देखाउनु भएको थियो।
4And this was the work of the candlestick: [it was] of beaten gold; from its base to its flowers was it beaten work; according to the form which Jehovah had shewn Moses, so had he made the candlestick.
5परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
5And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
6“इस्राएलका अरू मानिसहरूबाट लेवीहरूलाई छुट्याऊ अनि ती लेवीहरूलाई शुद्ध पार।
6Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
7तिनीहरूलाई शुद्ध पार्नको निम्ति तिमीले यसो गर्नुपर्छ तिनीहरू माथि शुद्धीकरणको पानी छर्किदेऊ र त्यस पानीले तिनीहरूलाई शुद्ध तुल्याउँछ। त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले आफ्नो शरीरको सम्पूर्ण रौं काटुन् अनि आफ्नो लुगाहरू धुऊन् र तिनीहरू यसरी शुद्ध हुन्छन्।
7And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: sprinkle upon them water of purification from sin; and they shall pass the razor over all their flesh, and shall wash their garments, and make themselves clean.
8“तिनीहरूलाई जवान गोरू तिनीहरूको बथानबाट ल्याउन देऊ अनि यसको मसिनो पीठो तेलसित मिसाएको अन्यबली ल्याउन देऊ त्यसपछि तिमीले अर्को एउटा बथानबाट जवान गोरू पापबलिका निम्ति ल्याउनु पर्छ।
8And they shall take a young bullock and its oblation of fine flour mingled with oil; and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin-offering.
9त्यस पछि तिमीले ती लेवीहरूलाई भेट हुने पालको अघि ल्याउनु र इस्राएलको सबै जातिका मानिसहरूलाई भेला गर।
9And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tent of meeting; and thou shalt gather together the whole assembly of the children of Israel.
10जब तिमीले लेवीहरूलाई परमप्रभुको अघि ल्याउँछौ इस्राएलको सबै मानिसहरूले तिनीहरू माथि आफ्नो हात राख्नु पर्छ।
10And thou shalt bring the Levites before Jehovah; and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites.
11हारूनले लेवीहरूलाई परमप्रभु अघि इस्राएलका मानिसहरूको विशेष उपहारको रूपमा अर्पण गर्छन् अनि तिनीहरूले परमेश्वरका सेवा गर्नेछन्।
11And Aaron shall offer the Levites as a wave-offering before Jehovah from the children of Israel, and they shall perform the service of Jehovah.
12“लेवीहरूले तिनीहरूको हात बहरको टाउको माथि राख्नुपर्छ र एउटा बहर पापबलिको निम्ति चढाउनु पर्छ र अर्को चाँहि लेवीहरूको प्रायश्चितका निम्ति परमप्रभुलाई होमबलिको निम्ति चढाउनु पर्छ।
12And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and thou shalt offer the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, to Jehovah, to make atonement for the Levites.
13यसरी पूजाहारी हारून र तिनका छोराहरूको सहायताको निम्ति तिमीले लेवीहरूलाई नियुक्त गर र त्यसपछि लेवीहरूलाई तिमीले परमप्रभुको निम्ति विशेष उपहार स्वरूप चढाऊ।
13And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them as a wave-offering to Jehovah.
14तिमीले तिनीहरूलाई इस्राएलका अरू मानिसहरूबाट छुट्टयाउनु पर्छ कारण लेवीहरू मेरा हुनेछन्।
14And thou shalt separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, that the Levites may be mine.
15“तिमीले तिनीहरूलाई शुद्ध पारेर विशेष उपहार स्वरूप अर्पण गरे पछि तिनीहरू भेट हुने पालमा सेवा गर्न उपयुक्त हुनेछन्।
15And afterwards shall the Levites come in to do the service of the tent of meeting. And thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them as a wave-offering.
16बिगतमा मैले इस्राएली मानिसहरूलाई तिनीहरूबाट जन्मेका पहिलो पुत्रहरू मलाई दिउन् भनी मागेको थिए। तर अहिले इस्राएली मानिसहरूबाट पहिले जन्मेको छोराहरूको सट्टामा म लेवी मानिसहरूलाई लिइरहेकोछु। इस्राएली मानिसहरूले मलाई लेवी मानिसहरू दिनेछन्। मैले तिनीहरूलाई मेरो लागि लिएको छु।
16For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of every one that breaketh open the womb, instead of every firstborn among the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
17इस्राएलमा जन्मने प्रत्येक जेठो मेरो हुनेछ चाहे त्यो मानिस होस् अथवा पशु, यसमा कुनै फरक पर्दैन। किन? किनभने मिश्र देशमा मैले प्रत्येक जेठो नानी र पशु मारेकोछु, अनि मेरो आफन्त बनाउनको निम्ति प्रत्येक जेठो छोरोलाई रोजें।
17For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both of man and beast; on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I hallowed them to myself.
18तर अब म तिनीहरूको सट्टामा लेवी मानिसहरू लिन्छु। इस्राएलमा अन्य जातिको परिवारहरूबाट जन्मेका जेठो छोराहरूको सट्टामा म लेवीहरूलाई ग्रहण गर्नेछु।
18And I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
19इस्राएलका सबै मानिसहरूबाट मैले लेवी मानिसहरूलाई चुनें अनि हारून र तिनका छोराहरूलाई भेटी स्वरूप दिएँ। तिनीहरूले इस्राएलका सबै मानिसहरूको सेवा गर्छन् जो भेट हुने पालमा आराधनाको निम्ति आउँदथे। तिनीहरूले इस्राएलको सबै मानिसहरूका निम्ति प्रायश्चित गर्नेछन्। तब पवित्र स्थान नजिक आँउदा इस्राएली मानिसहरूका निम्ति कुनै प्रकारको रोग अथवा कष्ट आई पर्ने छैन।”
19And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons, from among the children of Israel, to perform the service of the children of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel draw near to the sanctuary.
20त्यसकराण, लेवीहरूका विषयमा परमप्रभुको आज्ञासित राजी भएर मोशा, हारून अनि इस्राएलका सबै मानिसहरूले परमप्रभु द्वारा मोशालाई दिएका झैं प्रत्येक कुरा पालन गरे।
20And Moses and Aaron, and all the assembly of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according to all that Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites: so did the children of Israel to them.
21लेवीहरूले नुहाएर तिनीहरूको लुगाहरू धोए, हारूनले तिनीहरूलाई परमप्रभुको अघि विशेष उपहार स्वरूपमा अर्पण गरे अनि लेवीहरूका निम्ति प्रायश्चित गराएर तिनीहरूलाई सफा बनाए।
21And the Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their garments; and Aaron offered them as a wave-offering before Jehovah; and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.
22त्यसपछि लेवी मानिसहरू भेट हुने पालमा सेवा कार्य गर्न आए। हारून र तिनका छोराहरूले तिनीहरूको हेरचाह गर्थे अनि हारून र तिनका छोराहरू तिनीहरूको कामको जिम्मावारी थिए। परमप्रभुले मोशालाई जस्तो भन्नुभएको थियो हारून र तिनका छोराहरूले त्यसरी नै कार्यहरू गरे।
22And afterwards the Levites came in to perform their service in the tent of meeting before Aaron, and before his sons; as Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they to them.
23त्यपछि परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
23And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
24“यो लेवीहरूको नियम निम्ति हो। प्रत्येक लेवीहरू जो पच्चीस वर्षका अनि माथिका छन्। तिनी सबै भेट हुने पालको सेवामा भाग लिन आउनु पर्छ।
24This is that which concerneth the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward shall he come to labour in the work of the service of the tent of meeting.
25तर जब कुनै लेवी मानिस पचास वर्ष भन्दा बेशी उमेरको हुन्छ उसले त्यहाँ फेरि काम गर्नु पर्दैन र उसले भेट हुने पालको सेवा कार्यबाट अवकाश लिन्छ।
25And from fifty years old he shall retire from the labour of the service, and shall serve no more;
26पचास वर्ष अथवा त्यो भन्दा अधिक उमेरका मानिसहरूले भेट हुने पालको सेवा कार्यमा तिनीहरूका दाज्यू-भाइहरूलाई सहायता गर्नु सक्छन्। तर तिनीहरूले भारी काम गर्नु हुँदैन। यस्तो प्रकारले तिमी लेवीहरूलाई काममा खटाउनु पर्छ।”
26but he shall minister with his brethren in the tent of meeting, and keep the charge, but he shall not serve [in] the service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites with regard to their charges.
