1ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਵੇਂ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨੀ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵਾਂ - ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਿਆਣੇ ਹੋਵੋ।
1And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਉਹ ਦੁਧ੍ਧ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੀ, ਠੋਸ ਆਹਾਰ ਵਰਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੈਂ ਇਉਂ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੁ ਹਾਲੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਠੋਸ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ।
2I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਲੋਕ ਹੋ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਈਰਖਾ ਅਤੇ ਝਗਡ਼ੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੀ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।
3For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
4ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਆਖਦਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦਾ ਚੇਲਾ ਹਾਂ” ਦੂਜਾ ਆਖਦਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਅਪੁਲੋਸ ਦਾ ਚੇਲਾ ਹਾਂ” ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਣ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।
4For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
5ਕੀ ਅਪੁਲੋਸ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਹੈ? ਨਹੀਂ। ਕੀ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਮਹਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਹੈ? ਨਹੀਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਨੇ ਓਹੀ ਕਾਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਕੰਮ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਸੀ।
5Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6ਮੈਂ ਬੀਜ਼ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਪੁਲੋਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੰਜਿਆ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਬੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਉਗਾਇਆ।
6I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਹੈ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹੀ ਬੀਜ ਨੂੰ ਉਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
7So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
8ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਬੀਜ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਕਸਦ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਉਸਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਫ਼ਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
8Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
9ਅਸੀਂ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਾਮੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਖੇਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ।
9For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
10ਮਾਹਰ ਨਿਰਮਾਤਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਬੁਨਿਆਦ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਾਤ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੰਤਵ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਬੁਨਿਆਦ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਸਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਵਧਾਨੀ ਵਰਤਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
10According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11ਬੁਨਿਆਦ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਹੋਰ ਬੁਨਿਆਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖ ਸਕਦਾ। ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਬੁਨਿਆਦ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਹੈ।
11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਉਸ ਬੁਨਿਆਦ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੋਨੇ, ਚਾਂਦੀ, ਹੀਰੇ ਲੱਕਡ਼ੀ, ਘਾਹਫ਼ੂਸ ਜਾਂ ਤਿਨਕੇ ਲਾਕੇ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13ਪਰ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਨਿਰਣੇ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਅਗਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਨੀ ਹਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
13Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬੁਨਿਆਦ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਗਈ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਖਲੋਤੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
14If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਜਲਕੇ ਰਾਖ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਭੁਗਤਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਇੱਕ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਅੱਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
15If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
16ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖੁਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੋ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
16Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖੁਦ ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੋ।
17If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
18ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਰਖ ਨਾ ਬਣਾਉ। ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਇਹ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮੂਰਖ ਬਣ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਦਾ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਬਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
18Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਮੂਰਖਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, “ਉਹ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੁਸਤ ਚਲਾਕੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਫ਼ਡ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ।”
19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
20ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਇਹ ਵੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ, “ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨਿਰਾਰਥਕ ਹਨ।”
20And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
21ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਘਮੰਡ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
21Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;
22ਪੌਲੁਸ, ਅਪੁਲੋਸ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਫ਼ਸ, ਦੁਨੀਆਂ, ਜੀਵਨ, ਮੌਤ, ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿਖ੍ਖ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
22Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's;
23ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਹੈ।
23And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
