1ਇਉਂ, ਮੈਂ, ਪੌਲੁਸ, ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਕੈਦੀ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ, ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ, ਇੱਕ ਕੈਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
1For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
2ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਸੀ।
2If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
3ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਗੁਪਤ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਕੁਝ ਲਿਖ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
3How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਪਢ਼ੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ ਕਿ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
4Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਗੁਪਤ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮੇ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੁਪਤ ਸੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
5Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6ਗੁਪਤ ਸੱਚ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੈਰ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕੋਲ ਉਸਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਹਨ। ਗੈਰ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਇਕਠੇ ਇੱਕੋ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇਕਠੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਵਾਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੈਰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਹਨ।
6That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
7ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਕਾਰਣ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
7Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
8ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੈਰ ਯਹੂਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮੀਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਹ ਅਮੀਰੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਮਝ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੈ।
8Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਪਤ ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦੱਸਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਗੁਪਤ ਸੱਚ ਆਦਿਕਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੁਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
9And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸਮੂਹ ਹਾਕਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਖ-ਵਖ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਜਾਨਣਗੇ।
10To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11ਇਹ ਉਹ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਦਿਕਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਉਸਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ।
11According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
12ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਸੀਂ ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਮ੍ਹਣੇ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਹੋਕੇ ਆ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
12In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
13ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਦੁਖ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਸਹਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਨਾ ਗੁਆਓ। ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
13Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
14ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਤਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਝੁਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
14For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਵਰਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਸਲੀ ਨਾਮ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16ਮੈਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਸੀਮ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਆਤਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਜਬੂਤ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੇਵੇ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਤਾਕਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਤਮੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਜੀਨ ਜੋਡ਼ਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਉੱਪਰ ਉਸਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਲੋਕ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਣ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਰਖੋਂਗੇ। ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਸਕੋ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਲੰਮਾ, ਕਿੰਨਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਗਹਿਰਾ ਹੈ।
18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19ਮਸੀਹ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਡੇਰਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੋਵੋਂ। ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਭਰਪੂਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਜਾ ਸਕੋਂਗੇ।
19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ, ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਮੰਗ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਆਮੀਨ
21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
