¹ਬਚਿਓ, ਤ੍ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੁਹਾਥੋਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਹੀ ਹੈ।

¹Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

²ਹੁਕਮ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ; “ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਕਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।” ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਵਾਦਾ ਹੈ।

²“Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise:

³ਉਹ ਵਾਦਾ ਹੈ; “ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੰਮੀ ਉਮਰ ਬਿਤਾਓਗੇ।”

³“that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.” Deuteronomy 5:16

⁴ਪਿਤਾਓ, ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਕਰੋ।

⁴You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

⁵ਗੁਲਾਮੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮੰਨੋ। ਆਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰੋ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੱਚੇ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।

⁵Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ;

⁶ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਉਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

⁶not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

⁷ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੇ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰੋ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਕਿ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ।

⁷with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men;

⁸ਯਾਦ ਰਖੋ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਲ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਲਈ, ਲਿਹਾਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਹੈ ਜਾ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਆਦਮੀ, ਫ਼ਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਏਗਾ।

⁸knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free.

⁹You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.

¹⁰ਆਪਣਾ ਪੱਤਰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਕਡ਼ੇ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

¹⁰Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.

¹¹ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਢਾਲ ਪਹਿਨ ਲਵੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨੀ ਚਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਲਡ਼ ਸਕੋ।

¹¹Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

¹²ਸਾਡੀ ਲਡ਼ਾਈ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਹਨੇਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਕਮਾਂ, ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਲਡ਼ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਬਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀਆਂ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲਡ਼ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।

¹²For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

¹³ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਵਚ ਹੋਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਬਦੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਡਟਕੇ ਖਲੋ ਸਕੋਂਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਲਡ਼ਾਈ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਸਥਿਰ ਖਲੋਤੇ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ।

¹³Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.

¹⁴ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਖਲੋਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਮਰ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਪੇਟੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਵੋ। ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਪਾ ਲਵੋ।

¹⁴Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

¹⁵ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਜ਼ਾਮੰਦੀ ਦੀ ਜੁੱਤੀ ਪਾ ਲਵੋ। ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਜਬੂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਖਲੋ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ।

¹⁵and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace;

¹⁶ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦੀ ਢਾਲ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰੋ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਗਨੀ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ।

¹⁶above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.

¹⁷ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਟੋਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੋ। ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਫ਼ਡ਼ ਲਵੋ। ਉਹ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ।

¹⁷And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word from Greek rhema, which means spoken word of God;

¹⁸ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾਵਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੋ। ਆਪਣੀ ਹਰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਨਾ ਗੁਆਓ। ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ।

¹⁸with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints:

¹⁹ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਬੋਲਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰੇ। ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਡਰ ਦੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਪਤ ਸੱਚ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸ ਸਕਾਂ।

¹⁹on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,

²⁰ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਇਥੇ ਇਸ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਬਿਨਾ ਡਰ ਤੋਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

²⁰for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

²¹ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਤੁਖਿਕੁਸ ਸਾਡੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਦਾ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਨੌਕਰ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਹਰ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਥੇ ਵਾਪਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਂਦ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗੇਗਾ।

²¹But that you also may know my affairs, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make known to you all things;

²²ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੀ ਸੁਖਸਾਂਦ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਵੋ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਘੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।

²²whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts.

²³ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਸਮੇਤ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵੇ।

²³Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁴ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਜੋ ਕਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁਕ੍ਕਦਾ।

²⁴Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love. Amen.
