1 Chronicles

11

1Huchiin Israel tengteng Hebron ah David kiangah a hongkikhawm khawm ua, Ngaiin, na guh leh na sa ka hi uh.
1Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.
2Tuma lamin, Saul mahmah kumpipa a hih laiin, Israel pi khiaa pi lut nang na hi a; TOUPA na Pathianin na kiangah, Israel ka mite na vak dinga, ka mite Israel tungah lal na hi ding hi, honchi a.
2And moreover in time past, even when Saul was king, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD thy God said unto thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be ruler over my people Israel.
3Huchiin Israel upate tengteng Hebron ah kumpipa kiangah a hong pai ua; huan Davidin Hebron ah TOUPA maah amau toh thukhun a bawla; huan Samuel khuate TOUPA thu bang jela, Israel tunga kumpipa dingin David a septa uhi.
3Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
4Huan David leh Israel tengteng Jerusalem (huaimah tuh Jebus a hi) ah a hoh ua; huchiin Jebus mite, huai gama tengte, huailaiah a om uhi.
4And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land.
5Huchiin Jebusa tengten David kiangah, Hiai lama na hong louh ding ahi, a chi ua. Ahihhangin Davidin Zion kulh muanhuai a laa; huaimah tuh David khopi ahi.
5And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come hither. Nevertheless David took the castle of Zion, which is the city of David.
6Huan Davidin, Kuapeuh Jebus mite that masapenpen a lianpen leh heutu ahi ding, a chi a. Huan Zerui tapa Joab a kuantou masapena, huchiin amah a lianpena bawlin a omta hi.
6And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief.
7Huan David bel kulh muanhuai ah a tenga; huaijiakin David khopi a chi uhi.
7And David dwelt in the castle; therefore they called it the city of David.
8Huchiin khopi a bawl suak veka, Millo kimvel akipan nasanin: huan Joabin khopi dang a bawlpha vek hi.
8And he built the city round about, even from Millo round about: and Joab repaired the rest of the city.
9Huchiin David bel a hongthupi semsema; sepaihte TOUPA lah a kiangah a om ngala.
9So David waxed greater and greater: for the LORD of hosts was with him.
10Huan hiaite David neih mi hatte laka a pipente ahi uh, Israel tungtanga TOUPA thu bang jela, amah kumpipa dia bawl dinga, Israel tengteng toh, a gamsunga amah laka a hatna uh taklangte.
10These also are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened themselves with him in his kingdom, and with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.
11Huan hiai Davidin a neih mi hatte zah ahi: Jasobeam, Hakmon mi tapa, sawmthumte laka pipen; za thumte dou dingin a teipi a leka khatvei thuin amaute a that hi.
11And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had; Jashobeam, an Hachmonite, the chief of the captains: he lifted up his spear against three hundred slain by him at one time.
12Huan amah nungin Dodo tapa Eleazar, Ahoh mi, mi hat thumte laka khat ahi hi.
12And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighties.
13Pas-dammim ah David kiangah a oma, huan huaiah kidou tumin Philistia mite a kikhawm ua, barli-buha dimna mun takah; huan Philistia mite ma akipanin mite a taikekta uhi.
13He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where was a parcel of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.
14Huchiin huai mun laitakah a ding ua, a hum ua, a hum ua, Philistia mite a that uhi; huan TOUPAN zohna thupi takin amau a hondamta hi.
14And they set themselves in the midst of that parcel, and delivered it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great deliverance.
15Huan mi pipen sawmthumte laka thum suangpi lamah David kiangah, Adullam kokhuk ah a hoh suk ua; huan Philistia mite tampiten Rephaim phaijang ah puanin a kai ua.
15Now three of the thirty captains went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the host of the Philistines encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
16Huailaiin David bel kohawm sungah a om a, Philistia mite kulhpi bel Beth-lehem ah a om hi,
16And David was then in the hold, and the Philistines' garrison was then at Bethlehem.
17Huchiin David a lungjuanga, Aw kongpi kianga om, Beth-lehem tuihel tui dawn dinga hong pia mi khat om leh chi hinatel ing e! a chi a.
17And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that is at the gate!
18Huan huai thumten Philistia mite tampi lak a phu pai suak ua, Beth-lehem tuihel akipan tui a vatawi ua, kongpi kianga om, a honla ua, David kiang a hontun uhi: himahleh Davidin a dawn nuam keia, TOUPA adin a bung khe jawa.
18And the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to the LORD.
19Hiai ka hih, ka Pathianin honphal kei hen: a hinna uh lauhuainaa koih hiai mite sisan ka dawn ding hia? amau lah a hinna uh lauthawnna tohin a hontawi uh ahi ngala, a chi a. Huaijiakin a dawn nuamta kei hi. Hiai thilte huai mi hat thumten a hih uh.
19And said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this thing: shall I drink the blood of these men that have put their lives in jeopardy? for with the jeopardy of their lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mightiest.
20Huan Abisai, Joab unaupa, huai thumte laka khat ahi: aman lah za thumte dou dingin a teipi a lika amau a thata, mi thumte lakah min a neita ngala.
20And Abishai the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three: for lifting up his spear against three hundred, he slew them, and had a name among the three.

23Huan Aigupta mi a thata, mi lian mahmah, tong ngaa sang; huan Aigupta mi kha a teipi siamganmi chiam bang ahi; huchiin a kiangah chiang toh a hoh suka, Aigupta mi khut akipan teipi a laa, amah mah teipiin amah a hihlumta hi.
23And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.
24Hiai thilte Benai Jehoiad tapain a hiha, huchiin huai mi hat thumte lakah min a nei hi.
24These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among the three mighties.
25Ngaiin, sawmthumte sangin zahtakhuaui jawin a oma, himahleh thum masate jaw a pha kei hi: huchiin Davidin a galvil heutuin amah a koih hi.
