1 Samuel

3

1Huan, Naupang Samuelin Eli maah Toupa na a sema, Huai laiin Toupa thu lah a manpha mahmaha; alanga kilaknate a om kei.
1And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision.
2Huan, hichi ahi a, huai laiin, Eli amah mun ah a lup laiin, (a mit a mial deuhta a, khua a gina muh thei nawn ngel kei, )
2And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see;
3Pathian khawnvak leng a mih main, Pathian bawm omna Toupa biakin ah Samuel a luma;
3And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;
4TOUPAN Samuel a sama; aman, Hiaiah ka om, a chi a.
4That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I.
5Huan, Eli kiangah a vataia, a kiangah, Hiaiah ka om, non sama, a chi a. Huan, aman, Kon sam kei; valum nawnin, a chi a. Huchiin a paia, a valum nawnta hi.
5And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.
6Huan, TOUPAN Samuel a sam nawna. Huan, Samuel a thoua, Eli kiangah a hoha, Hiaiah ka om; non sama, a chi a. Huan, aman a dawnga, ka honsam kei, ka tapa; va lum nawnin, a chi a.
6And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.
7Huailaiin Samuelin TOUPA a thei nai keia, TOUPA thu lah a kianga pulak leng ahi nai keia.
7Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him.
8Huan, TOUPAN Samuel a sam nawna, huai bel a thumveina ahi. Huan, a thoua, Eli kiangah a hoha, Hiaiah ka om; non sama, a chi a. Huchiin Eliin naupang TOUPAN sam ahi chih a theitaa.
8And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.
9Huaijiakin Eliin Samuel kiangah, Pai inla, va lum nawn inla, a honsap nawn leh, TOUPA, thugenin, na sikhain a ngaikhia hi, na chi ding hi, a chi a. Huchiin Samuel a paita a, a munah a valum nawn hi.
9Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10Huan, TOUPA a hongpaia, a hong dinga, a maa a sap bangin, Samuel, Samuel, chiin a sam nawna, huchiin Samuelin, Thu genin, na sikhain a ngaikhia hi, a chi a.
10And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
11Huan, TOUPAN Samuel kiangah, Ngaiin, Israel gamah a za peuhmahte bil a lang nihniha aphuai takin thil ka hih sin ahi.
11And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
12Huai niin a inkuan tungtang thu ka gen tengteng a bul akipanin a tawp tanin Eli tungah ka hih sin ahi.
12In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end.
13A taten Pathian a gensiatna khelhna uh theigigena pia a khamlouh jiakin a inkuan khantawna dingin ka ngaihtuah sin ahi chih ka hilhkhinta ngala.
13For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.
14Huaijiakin Eli inkuan kiangah Eli inkuan bohsiatna kithoihnain hiam, thillatin hiam, chikchiangin leng siamsak theih ahi kei ding chiin ka kichiam khinta hi, a chi a.
14And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever.
15Huan, Samuel jingsang tanin a luma, huan, TOUPA in kongkhakte a honga, Huchiin Samuelin huai kilakna Eli theihsak a lauthawng hi.
15And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the LORD. And Samuel feared to show Eli the vision.
16Huchiin Eliin Samuel a sama, Samuel, ka tapa, a chi a. Huan, aman, Hiaiah ka om, a chi a.
16Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here am I.
17Huan, aman, Bang thil ahia TOUPAN na kianga a gen? ka kiangah bangmah im ken aw; na kianga a gen tengteng ka kiangah im na neih leh na tungah Pathianin a hihhihin hih henla, huai sanga thupijaw leng, a chi a.
17And he said, What is the thing that the LORD hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee.
18Huan, Samuelin bangteng a hilh sipsipa, a kiangah bangmah im a neikei. Huchiin aman, TOUPA ahi mah ve, hoih a sak bangbangin hih hen, a chi a.
18And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good.
19Huan, Samuel a hongkhang lian deuhdeuha, a kiangah TOUPA a om jela, a thu himhim leitungah a luang mangsak kei hi.
19And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.
20Huchiin Daan akipan Beer-seba tan hialin Israel mite tengtengin Samuel hi TOUPA jawlnei dinga hihkip ahi chih a na theita uhi.Huan, TOUPA bel Silo ah a kilak nawna: TOUPA bel thuin Samuel kiangah Silo ah a kilak lah ahi ngala.
20And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD.
21Huan, TOUPA bel Silo ah a kilak nawna: TOUPA bel thuin Samuel kiangah Silo ah a kilak lah ahi ngala.
21And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.
