1Putek deuhte tai kenla, pa bangin thuhilh zawin; tangval deuhte unau bangin;
1Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;
2pitek deuhte nu bang in; nungak deuhte siangthou takin sangam numei bangin.
2The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
3Meithai, meithai takatakte zahtak in.
3Honour widows that are widows indeed.
4Himahleh, meithai kuapeuhin tate hiam, tute hiam aneih uleh, huaiten tuh amau insung lamah Pathian limsakna mohpuakna thei masa uhela, amau nu-le-pa te uh kem uhen; huai tuh Pathian kipah lamtak ahi ngala.
4But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.
5Meithai taktak amah kiaa om intuh, Pathian tungah lametna aneia, sun leh jan a ngenin a thum gige hi.
5Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.
6Ahihhangin, meithai ama nopna lela kipia zaw, adamlai nangawn in a si ahi.
6But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.
7Gensiat bei a a om theihna ding un huai thu bang leng pia in.
7And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
8Himahleh kuapeuh in amah mite ading a angaihtuah sak kei a, ama inkuante khol houh a ngaihtuahsak keileh, ginna tuh azuausana, ginglou mi sangin a gilou zaw ahi.
8But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
9Meithai kum sawmguk chiang nuailam mi hi lou, mikhat ji hisa, meithaia gelh theih ahi.
9Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man.
10Thil hih hoih lam a mi phata tate vaktei khina, mikhualte na zintun khina, misiangthoute khe na silta a, mangbangte na dawnzang khina, thil hoih peuhmah thanuam tak a na hih khin a hih peuhmahleh.
10Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
11Himahleh, meithai nungaklaisimte zaw gelh ken; Kris lam a a hong kiplouh un pasal neih a ut nak uhi;
11But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;
12A gin tung na uh a paih ziak un siamlouh tang in a om nak uhi.
12Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
13Huan, huailou leng, in teng ah a ban pawt ua, a tha uh a dah nak hi; thadah kia leng hilou in, thugen louh ding gen in, kamtam leh mite thilhih lai a vaihawm sak nak uhi.
13And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
14Huchiin, methai nungaklaisimte zaw pasal nei uhenla, tate nei uhenla, insung khosak ngaihtuah uhenla, gensiatna ding lemtang himhim melma musak kei le uh kadeih hi.
14I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
15Tuin leng mi khenkhat in setan lam naihin a pialsanta ngal ua.
15For some are already turned aside after Satan.
16Gingtami numei in methaite neita leh, dawnzang hen; saptuamte tuh hihbuai in om kei hen; meithai taktakte a dawnzang theihna ding un.
16If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.
17Saptuam upa vaihawm hoihte tuh a lehnih a thupi tuak a seh hi uhen. Thuhilh leh thu a semgimte tuh hihthupi tuaka seh nawn sem hi uhen.
17Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
18Laisiangthou in, Bawngtalin buh a chil lain a muk hen ken, a chi a. Nasemmi tuh a loh mutak ahi, a chi nawna.
18For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
19Saptuam upa a hekna uh tuh, theihpih nih hiam kama lou zaw la ken.
19Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.
20Mikhialte tuh mi tengteng maah taihilh in, midangten leng a lau theihna ding un.
20Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
21Deihsak tuam neilou a, khentuam nei a bangmah hih lou-a hiai thute zui ding in Pathian leh Khris Jesu leh angel telte mitmuh in phatuamngai takin ka hontheisak hi.
21I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
22Kuamah tungah khut nga pah kenla, midang khelhna bangah leng kikum ken; ki hih siangthou gige in.
22Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
23Tui kia dawn kenla, na gilpi ziakin leh na damlouh nak ziakin uain neu khakha zang zel in.
23Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.
24mi khenkhat khelhna tuh a lang gige a, vaihawmna atun nak hi; mi khenkhat khelhnate bel a khawnung in a hong kilang.huchibang mahin thil hoih hih kilangsa a om a, huchibang loute leng sel theih ahi kei hi.
24Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.
25huchibang mahin thil hoih hih kilangsa a om a, huchibang loute leng sel theih ahi kei hi.
25Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.
