Acts

15

1Huan, mi kuate hiam Judia gam akipanin a hongsuk ua, Mosi dan banga zek na sum kei uleh hotdam na hi theikei ding uh, chiin, unaute a hilh ua.
1And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2Huchiin, Paula leh Barnaba amau toh kisel petmaha a kisel ua a kilan jiak un, Paula leh Barnaba amau tuh a lak ua kuate hiam toh, huai thubuai tungah, Jerusalem khua a sawltakte leh upate kiangah hohtou dingin a sep ua.
2When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
3Huchiin, Saptuamten a vakha ua, amau Jentelte kihei kik nawndan thu gen jelin, Phinisi gam leh Samari gam a tawnsuakta uh; huchiin unaute tengteng a kipaksak mahmah uhi.
3And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
4Huan, Jerusalem khua a tun touh uh saptuam pawlte, sawltakte, upaten a na kipahpih uh; huan, Pathianin amau zanga thil a hih tengteng khawng a gen uhi.
4And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
5Himahleh, Pharisai pawl gingta sam kuate hiam a kisa ua, Jentelte zek sum ding ahi, Mosi dan zuih leng a lak uah chiam chitchiat ding ahi, a chi ua.
5But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
6Huan, sawltakte leh upate, huai thu ngaihtuah dingin a kikhawm ua.
6And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7Huan, a kisel ek nung un Peter a kisa a, a kiang uah, unaute aw, Jentelten keimah kama Tanchin Hoih thu ja a gingta dinga, Pathianin nidang laia na lak ua kipana a honsehdan na thei uhi.
7And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8Huan, lungsim theipa Pathianin eite honpiak bangmahin Kha Siangthou a kiang ua pe samin a tunguah a kipak chih a theisaka;
8And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9huan, eite leh amau khentuam neilouin ginin a lungsim uh a hihsiangthou hi.
9And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10Huchiin, i pipute leh eiten I zoh louhsa hakkol tunah nungjuite tunga ngak tuma bangdia Pathian kalh na hi ua leh?
10Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11Amau gintak bangmahin eiten leng Toupa Jesu hehpihna jiaka hotdam ding hiin i kigingta ngal ua, a chi a.
11But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
12Huchiin, mipi tengteng a dai dide ua, Barnaba leh Paulain Pathianin amau zanga Jentelte laka chiamtehna leh thillamdang a hih thu a gen lai siah uh a ngaikhia ua.
12Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13Huan, a gen khit un Jakobin a gen sam a,
13And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
14Unaute aw, ka thu ngaikhia un, Pathianin amah min pu dingin a lak ua kipan mite lakhe dingin a lak ua kipan mite lakhe dingin Jentelte a kan tungthu Sumeonin a gen hi.
14Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15Huan, huai thu leh jawlneite thu a kituak hi:
15And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16Huai khit chiangin ka kik nawn dinga, David biakbuk chim ka bawl nawn dinga, a siatna lai ka puah tou nawn ding;
16After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17Mi dang, Jentel tengteng ka min honkikoppihten, Toupa a zonna ding un huai biakbuk tuh ka tungding, chiin.
17That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18Khovel siam chil akipan hiai thu theisakpa Toupan a chi hi, chih gelh ahi.
18Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
19Huaijiakin hichiin ka sep ahi, Jentelte laka Pathian lam ngate hihgim kei lehang,
19Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20milim biakna thilnin nek khawng kingaih khawng, sa heklup leh sisan nek khawng tawpna dingin a kiang uah gelh zo lehang, ka chu pen ahi.
20But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21Mosi in nidang lai akipan kho tengah a thu tangkoupihpa a nei jela, kikhopna in peuhah Khawlni tengin a thu sim ahi jel hi, a chi a.
21For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
22Huan, sawltakte, upate, saptuam tengteng toh, a pawl ua mi tel, Paula leh Barnaba kiangah Antiok khua a hohsak hoih a sa ua; a telte uh min tuh Juda (Barsaba a chih uh, ) leh Sila ahi ua, huai mite tuh unaute laka heutu deuh ahi uhi.
22Then pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
23Huan, hichibangin a gelh ua, a khut uah a khak uh: - Sawltakte leh unaute laka upaten Antiok khua ah, Suria gamah leh Silisia gama Jentel unaute chibai a buk uh.
23And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia.
24Ka pawl lak ua mi kuate hiamin thu genin nou a honhihbuai ua, na lungsim uh a honmangbangsak uh chih ka ja ua, a kiang uah thu bangmah ka pen gal kei ua.
24Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
25Huaijiakin thu khat sata ka kikhop un, ka deihtak uh Barnaba leh Paula,
25It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
26Toupa Jesu Kris min jiaka sih khawk saloute toh, mi telte na kiang ua honsawl hoih ka sa uhi.
26Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27Huchiin, Juda leh Sila ka honsawl uhi, amau leng hiai thu mah kamin a honhilh ding uh.
27We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
28Kha Siangthou leh kou hiai thu poimohte chihlouhngal, puakgik tuan na tunguah bangmah nga kei le ung hoih ka sa uhi:
28For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
29milim biakna sa nek khawng, sa sisan nek khawng, kingaih khawng tawp le uchin ka chi uh; hiaite na tawp uleh nou adingin a hoih ding hi. Damtakin om un, chiin.
29That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
30Huchiin, a sawl un a kuan ua, Antiok khua ah a tung suk ua; huan, mipi a sam khawm ua, lai tuh a pia ua.
30So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:
31Huan, a simkhit un lungmuanna thu jiakin a kipak mahmahta uhi.
31Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
32Huan, Juda leh Silain, jawlnei leng ahi ua, thu tampiin unaute tuh a khamuan ua, a hihkip uhi.
32And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
33Huan, huaiah sawt khop a om nung un amau honsawlte kianga pain awn dingin,
33And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.
34unauten khamuangtakin a pawtsak nawnta uhi.
34Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.
35Paula leh Barnaba bel Antiok khua ah Toupa thu hilh leh genin a om nilouh ua, mi dang tampite toh.
35Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.
36Huan, ni bangzah hiam nungin Paulain Barnaba kiangah, Tuin hoh nawn lehang, kho tenga Toupa thu i genna peuha unau omte vaveh jel lehang la, a omdan uh va en leng, a chi a.
36And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the LORD, and see how they do.
37Huan, Barnabain Johan (Marka a chih uh) a kiang ua tonpih a tum a;
37And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.
38Paulain bel amah a kiang ua a tonpih uh hoih a sa keia, Pamphilia gamah amau a kiksana, nasepna a a kiang ua a hoh sam tak louh jiakin.
38But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
39Huchiin, nakpiin a kiselta ua, huan, a kikhen ua, Barnabain Marka a kiangah a tonpih a, Kupra tuikulh lamah longin a hohta hi.
39And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;
40Paulain tuh Sila a tela, unauten Toupa hehpihna a kepsak nung un a paikheta hi.Huan, saptuam pawlte hihkip jelin Siria leh Silisia gam a tawn suak uh.
40And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
41Huan, saptuam pawlte hihkip jelin Siria leh Silisia gam a tawn suak uh.
41And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
