¹Huan a kha sawm leh nih, Adar kha, huaimah a ni sawm leh thum ni, kumpipa thupiak leh a thubawl tangtunna ding a hongnai lai, Judate melmaten a tung ua vaihawmna neih a kilamet ni uh; hinapi-a lah a hilou lama a hongkilehbuta, Judaten amau mudahte tunga vaihawmna a honneih lai un;

¹Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)

²Kumpipa Ahasura bial tengteng a khopite uah Judate, amau siatna zongte tunga khut kha dingin, a kikhawm khawm ua: kuamahin lah amaute a nangzou kei uh; mite tengteng tungah lah amaute launa a hongomta ngala.

²The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.

³Huchiin bialte-a lalte leh, gamukmite leh, ukpipate leh kumpina nasem ten, Judate a panpih ua; Mordekai launa lah a tunguah a hongom ngala.

³And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.

⁴Kumpipa in ah Mordekai a thupi-a, bial tengtengah a min a thang kheta hi: hiai mipa Mordekai lah a hongthupi semsem ngala.

⁴For Mordecai was great in the king's house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.

⁵Thus the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they would unto those that hated them.

⁶And in Shushan the palace the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.

¹⁰Judate melmapa Hammedatha tapa Haman tapate, a that ua; himahleh gallak ah a khut uh a nga kei uhi.

¹⁰The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.

¹¹Huai niin Susan inpi-a thaha om zah kumpipa maah a hontawi uh.

¹¹On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.

¹²Huan kumpipan kumpinu Esther kiangah, Judate Susan inpisungah mi zanga a that ua a hihsia uh, Haman tapa sawmte toh; kumpipa bial dangte ah bang a chi bawlta phet ding uamah: Khaile, bang na thum a? huan na kianga phal ahi ding: ahihkeileh bang ahia na nget lai? huan na kianga phal ahi, a chi a.

¹²And the king said unto Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the king's provinces? now what is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: or what is thy request further? and it shall be done.

¹³Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do to morrow also according unto this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.

¹⁴Huchiin huchibanga hih ding chiin kumpipan thu a pia: huan Susan ah thubawl a kipe khiaa: huchiin Haman tapa sawmte a khaita uhi.

¹⁴And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.

¹⁵Adar kha mah a ni sawm leh li niin Susana om Judate a kikhawm khawm ua, Susan ah mi za thum a that uh; himahleh gallak tungah a khut uh a nga kei uhi.

¹⁵For the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.

¹⁶Huchiin kumpipa bialtea om Juda dangte a kikhawm khawm ua, a hinna uh a hum ua, a melmate ua kipan khawlna a nei ua, huan amau mudahte lakah mi sing sagih leh sang nga a that ua; himahleh gallak tungah a khut uh a nga kei uh.

¹⁶But the other Jews that were in the king's provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,

¹⁷Adar kha ni sawm leh thumniin hiai tuh hih ahi; huaimah a ni sawm leh li niin, a khawl ua, ankuanglui ni leh kipah niin a bawl uhi.

¹⁷On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

¹⁸Himahleh Susana om Judate a kikhawm khawm ua a ni sawm leh thum niin, leh a ni sawm leh li niin; huaimah a ni sawm leh nga niin a khawlta ua, ankuanglui ni leh kipah niin a bawl uhi.

¹⁸But the Jews that were at Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth day thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

¹⁹Huaijiakin kho neutea Judate, kho kulhbanga um louha tengten, Adar kha ni sawm leh li ni kipahna ni leh ankuanglui niin, ni hoih ni, leh a kuakua tantuan kikhakna niin a nei uhi.

¹⁹Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.

²⁰Huan Mordekai hiai thilte a gelha, kumpipa Ahasura bial tengtenga om Judate, gamla leh naiate kiangah a khaka,

²⁰And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far,

²¹Kum sika, Adar kha ni li leh, huaimah ni sawm leh ni nga ni tang dinga hilhna dingin,

²¹To stablish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,

²²Judate a melmate ua kipan a khawlni uh, amau adia lungkhamna kipahna a honghihna kha, misi sunna ni hoih a honghihna kha bangin: huai nite ankuangluina leh kipahna ni-a aom ua, tantuante a kuakua a kikhak ua, gentheite kianga thilpiakte piakna a neih theihna ding un.

²²As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.

²³Huchiin Judaten a patkhitsa bang un leh, Mordekaiin amaute kianga a gelhkhitsa bangin hih dingin a theisiam uh.

²³And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written unto them;

²⁴Hammedatha tapa Haman, Agag mi, Judate tengteng melmapan Judate tengteng siatna ding amau hihse ding, a ngaihtuaha, amaute hihgawp ding leh, amaute hihse dinga, Pur, huai bel, aisan ahi, a na paih jiakin;

²⁴Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to consume them, and to destroy them;

²⁵Hiamahleh a thu kumpipa ma a hongtunin, a ngaihtuah gilou, Judate siatna dia a ngaihtuah, amah lu tung mahmaha a kibut dingin laikhaktein thu a peta a; huchi-a amah leh a tapate khailupna khuama khai a omna ding un.

²⁵But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

²⁶Huchibang a hih jiakin hiai nite Purim, Pur min juiin a sa uhi. Huaijiakin hiai laikhak thute tengteng jiak leh hiai thu tungtang thu a muhsa uh, a tung ua hongtung jiakin.

²⁶Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them,

²⁷Judaten a hihkip ua, amau tung leh, a suante uh tung leh, amaute huchi banga kizomkhawm bangte tengteng tungah a kisuanta uhi, huchi-a a pel lou hiala, huaia laigelh dungjuia leh, huaia hun sehsa dungjuia, kum chitenga hiai ni nihte a tan theihna ding un;

²⁷The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;

²⁸Huchi-a hiai nite a khang a khanga, a inkuankuana, bial chiteng leh khopi chitenga theihgige leh tana om theihna dingin; huchi-a hiai Purim nite Judate lak akipana a juau louha, huaite theihgigena leng a suante uh akipan a man louhna dingin.

²⁸And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.

²⁹Huchiin kumpinu Esther, Abiheil tanu leh, Mordekai Juda miin, hiai Purim laikhak nihna sukkipna dingin thuneihna tengtengin a gelhta uhi.

²⁹Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim.

³⁰Huan Judate tengteng kiang ah, Ahasura gama bial ja leh sawm nih leh sagihte kiangah, lungmuanna leh thutak thute toh laikhakte a khakta a,

³⁰And he sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words of peace and truth,

³¹Hiai Purim nite a hun sehsa uha, Mordekai Juda mi leh kumpinu Estherin huaite pha a sak uh dungjui leh, amau ading leh a suante uh adia, anngawlna leh a kahna thu ua a nahihkip bang ua hihkip dingin.Huchiin Esther thupiakin hiai Purim thute a hihkipa; laibu ah a kigelhta hi.

³¹To confirm these days of Purim in their times appointed, according as Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen had enjoined them, and as they had decreed for themselves and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and their cry.

³²Huchiin Esther thupiakin hiai Purim thute a hihkipa; laibu ah a kigelhta hi.

³²And the decree of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim; and it was written in the book.
