Judges

3

1Hiai Namte ahi TOUPAN Kanan gama gal sual ngei nai het lou zeetna dinga a omsakte,
1Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
2Huai Israel suan suante, tumaa bangmah thei naihetlou ten a hontheihna ding uh leh galsual dan sinsak ding kiaa omsak ahi uh;
2Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;
3Huaite bel Philistiate kumpipa ngate, kanan mi tengtengte, Zidonte; Lebanon tanga om Hivte ahi ua, Baal-hermon tang akipana Hamath kho lutna phain.
3Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath.
4TOUPAN Mosi zanga a pipute uh tuh a napiakte a pom sin uh leh sin louh uh theihna dingin huaite bel Israelte zeetna ding ahi uh.
4And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.
5Huan, Israel suante Kanante, Hitte, Amorte, Perizte, Hivte, Jebuste lakah a om ua;
5And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites:
6Huan, a tanute uh jiin a nei ua, huan, a tanute uh tapate uh tapate a neithuk sak ua, a pathiante uh na a sem uhi.
6And they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods.
7Huan, Israel suanten TOUPA mitmuhin thil gilou a nahih ua, TOUPA a Pathian uh a mangngilh ua, Baalte leh Astoret na a sem uh
7And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves.
8Huchiin TOUPA Israelte tungah a hehtaa, Mesopotamia gam kumpipa Kusan-risathaim kiangah a juaktaa: huchiin Israel suante Kusan-risathaim thu nuaiah kum giat a om uh.
8Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushanrishathaim eight years.
9Huan, Israel suanten TOUPA a sap tak un, TOUPANIsrael suante hondampa a honbawl saka, huai main a honghondamtaa. huai bel Kaleb nau Kenaz tapa Othniel ahi.
9And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.
10Huan, TOUPA kha a tungah a hongtunga, huchiin Mesopotamia gam kumpipa Kusan-risathaim a piaa; Kusan-risathaim a zouta hi.
10And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim.
11Huan, gam kum sawmli galmuangin a omta hi.
11And the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died.
12Huan, Israel suanten TOUPA mitmuhin thil gilou a hih nawn ua: huchiin TOUPA mitmuha thil a na hihkhelh jiakun TOUPAN Moab kumpipa Eglon Israelte tunga hatin a bawla.
12And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD.
13Huan, aman Amon suante leh Amalekte a kai khawma; huan, Israelte a vasuala, tum khopi a luataa.
13And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees.
14Huchiin Israelte Moab kumpipa Eglon thu nuaiah kum sawm leh kum giat a om uh.
14So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
15Himahleh Israel suanten TOUPA a sap tak un TOUPAN Gera tapa Ehud, Benjamin mi, mi veiling, hondampa a honbawl saka: huan, Israel suanten Moab kumpipa piak dingin kipahman a tawisak uhi.
15But when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab.
16Huan, Ehudin namsau hiam tuah tong tana sau in a sek a; huai tuh a pheipi taklam puan nuaiah a taivom a.
16But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it under his raiment upon his right thigh.
17Huan, Moab kumpipa Eglon kipahman a vapiaa: Eglon bel mi thau tak ahi.
17And he brought the present unto Eglon king of Moab: and Eglon was a very fat man.
18Huan, kipahman a vapiak khit takin, kipahman tawite a paisak nawn hi.
18And when he had made an end to offer the present, he sent away the people that bare the present.
19Amah bel Gilgal kho kianga suangsek mun akipan a nungkik nawna, I aw kumpipa, honhilh ding thuguk neikei ve, a chi a. Huan, aman, Dai sisip un, achi a. Huchiin a kianga gingte teng in a pawt khiak san vek ua.
19But he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from him.
20Huan, Ehud a kiangah a vahoha; amah bel a nipi dantan ah amah kiain a natua. Huan, Ehudin, Pathian in na kianga gen ding thu a honthukhak, achi a. Huan, tutphah akipan a ding hi.
20And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlor, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.
21Huan, Ehudin akhut vei lamin a pheipi taklama namsau a doka, a gilpi ah a kui ek mawka:
21And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly:
22A bul leng a lut tum toiha, huan, a namsau pen a thau in a hubita, a gilpia namsau lah a phawi ngal keia; a nungah a pailet hi.
22And the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out.
23Huchiin Ehud bel inlimah a pawta, dantan kongkhaktein a khakkhum a, a kalh bibek.
23Then Ehud went forth through the porch, and shut the doors of the parlor upon him, and locked them.
24Huan, huchia a pawt khit nungin, a sikhate a hongpai ua; huan, a muh tak un ngaiin, dantan kongkhakte a na kikalh ngiungeua; A nipi dantan ah a vatuamom tadih hiin teh, achi ua.
24When he was gone out, his servants came; and when they saw that, behold, the doors of the parlor were locked, they said, Surely he covereth his feet in his summer chamber.
25Huan, zumhuai khopin a ngak nilouh ua: huan, ngaiin, dantan kongkhakte a hong himhim kei a; huchiin tahbi a la ua, a hong ua: huan, ngaiin, a kumpipa uh pialkhangah, siin a na lumta hi.
25And they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlor; therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.
26Huan, Ehud lah huchia a ngak nilouh sungun a natai mang khintaa, huai suangsekna mun a khenga, Seira ah a tai.
26And Ehud escaped while they tarried, and passed beyond the quarries, and escaped unto Seirath.
27Huan, hichi ahia, huai mun a tunin Ephraim tanggam ah pengkul a muta, huan, Israel suante tanggam akipan a kiangah a pai suk ua, aman a ma uh a kaita hi.
27And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mount, and he before them.
28Huan, aman a kiang uah, Honjui dih ua: TOUPAN na melma uh Moabte honpe khinta ahi, a chi a. Huchiin a jui suk ua, Moab gam chin Jordan lui kahnate a la ua; kuamah a galkah uh a phal kei uh.
28And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.
29Huai tungin Moabte sing khat tak mi hat ngenta leh mi hat hangsan hoih ngenta a that ua; khat lel leng tai khia a om kei uh.
29And they slew of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valor; and there escaped not a man.
30Huchiin huai niin Moabte Israelte lakah a nazahlak uhi. Huan, gam kum sawmgiat sung galmuangin a om.Huan, a nungin Anath tapa Samgar a hong kilang sama, huai miin Philistiate mi za guk bawng sutna chiangin a sunluma: amahmahin Israelte a hondam hi.

31Huan, a nungin Anath tapa Samgar a hong kilang sama, huai miin Philistiate mi za guk bawng sutna chiangin a sunluma: amahmahin Israelte a hondam hi.
31And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel.
