1Huchiin Jerubaal (huai bel Gideon ahi a) leh a kianga mipi om tengteng jingkhangin a thou ua, Herod lui chinah a kikulh ua: huan, Midiante kulh a omna mal lampang More tangbul guamah a om hi.
1Then Jerubbaal, who is Gideon, and all the people that were with him, rose up early, and pitched beside the well of Harod: so that the host of the Midianites were on the north side of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley.
2Huan, TOUPAN Gideon kiangah, Na kianga omte Midiante a khut ua ka piakna dingin a tam lua u hi, huchilouin jaw Israelten, Ei khut ngeia kihondam i hi uh, chiin a honot khum kha ding uh.
2And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.
3Huaijiakin ngaiin, mipite jakin, Kuapeuh lau leh ling kik nawn uhenla, Gilead tang akipan pai nawn hen, chiin, gen khiain, a chi a, huchiin mipite sing nih leh sang nih a kik nawn ua; huan, singkhat a om lai uh.
3Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand.
4Huan, TOUPAN Gideon kiangah, Mite a tam lo lailai uh; luiah pisuk inla, huaiah ken ka honkhen sak ding: hichi ahi dinga, Hiai mi jaw na kiangah pai heh, ka chih peuh, na kiangah pai henla: huan, Hiai mi jaw na kiangah pai kei heh, ka chih peuhmah pai kei heh, a chi a.
4And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.
5Huchiin mipite lui ah a pi suka: huan, TOUPAN Gideon kiangah, Ui banga a lei a tui liah thoh peuhmah atuamin koih jel inla, huchibang mahin kuna khukdina tui hip thoh peuhmah leng, a chi a.
5So he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.
6Huan, a khut peka liahthohte mi za thum ahi ua, mi dang tengteng kuna khukdina tui hip vek ahi uh.
6And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
7Huchiin TOUPAN Gideon kiangah, Mi za thum, a liaha liahthohte zangin nou ka honhondam sina, Midiante na khutah ka honpe sin ahi: mipi tengteng amau mun chiat uah pai nawn uhen, a chi a.
7And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.
8Huchiin mipiten nekding leh a pengkulte uh a tawi ua; huan Israel mi tengteng a puanin lam uah a paisak veka, mi za thumte bel a omsaka: huan, Midiante kulh bel a nuai guam ua om ahi.
8So the people took victuals in their hand, and their trumpets: and he sent all the rest of Israel every man unto his tent, and retained those three hundred men: and the host of Midian was beneath him in the valley.
9Huan, hichi ahia, huai janin TOUPAN a kiangah, Thou inla, kulh ah vahoh suk dihve; na khut ah ka honpe ta hi.
9And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand.
10Ahihhangin hoh suk na lau leh, na sikha Pura toh kulh ah vahoh suk phot unla:
10But if thou fear to go down, go thou with Phurah thy servant down to the host:
11Huchiin a thugen uh na za dinga; huaikhit chiangin na khut hihhatin a om dinga, kulh ah na hoh ngam ta ding, a chi a. Huchiin a sikha Pura toh kulha galvengte tuah masaknapen omna ah a hoh suk uh.
11And thou shalt hear what they say; and afterward shall thine hands be strengthened to go down unto the host. Then went he down with Phurah his servant unto the outside of the armed men that were in the host.
12Huan, Midiante leh Amalekte leh suahlam tapate tengteng huai guam ah khaupe bang maiin tampi a na om meumou ua; a sangawngsaute uh sim seng vuallouh, a tamlam uh lah tuipi piaua piaunel zah mahmah ahi uhi.
12And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers for multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude.
13Huan, Gideon a tunsuk in, ngaiin, mi khatin a lawmpa a mang a nahilha, a kiangah, Ngaiin, mang ka neia, huan, ngaiin, barli-buh tanghou phel Midiante kulhah ana oma, puanin ah ana tuk luta, a honhih chima, a hih lumleta, puanin a kiphah diahduah maimah, a chi a.
13And when Gideon was come, behold, there was a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and overturned it, that the tent lay along.
14Huan, a lawmpan a dawnga, Huai ahihleh Israel mi, Joas tapa Gideon namsau ahi mai ve: Pathianin Midiante leh sepaihte tengteng a khuta pia ahi mai ve, a chi a.
14And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel: for into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host.
15Huan, huchi ahia, Gideonin huai mang a leh khiakna a kihilhchian uh a jakin, Pathian a betaa; huchiin Israelte kulh lamah a kik nawna, Thou dih uh; TOUPAN Midian sepaihte na khut uah a honpeta hi, a chi a.
15And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian.
16Huchiin mi za thumte pawl thumin a bawla, a vek un pengkul leh, bel vuak, a sunga meisel koihsa a pe chiata.
16And he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man's hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers.
17Huan, aman a kiang uah, Honen unla, ka hih bangin hih tei jel un: huan, ngai un, kulh tuah masakpen ka tun takin, ka hih bang jel in hih tei jel un.
17And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.
18Kei leh ka kianga omte tengtengin pengkul ka hon mut tak un, kulh kimvel a omte tengtengin pengkul na mut tei sam ding uh ahi, TOUPA ading leh Gideon a dingin, na chi chiat ding uh, achia.
18When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.
19Huchiin Gideon leh a kianga om mi jate jan ven laita, galven a kikhen kuan laitak un kulh tuahmasak a tung suk ua: huan, pengkul a mut ua, a bel tawi uh a keknen sak vek uh.
19So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.
20Huan, a pawl thumin pengkul a mut ua, bel a hihkham ua, a veilam un meisel a tawi ua, a taklam un pengkul mut ding a tawi uh: Huan, TOUPA leh Gideon namsau, chiin a kikou juajua uh.
20And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.
21Huan, kulh kim ah mi chih amau din mun chiat ah a ding vek ua: huchiin sepaihte tengteng a taita ua; huan, a kikou kou ua, a taikeksak ta uhi.
21And they stood every man in his place round about the camp; and all the host ran, and cried, and fled.
22Huan, pengkul za thum a mut ua, huan, TOUPAN sepaihte tengteng amau leh amau namsauin a kisualsakta eka: huchiin sepaihte Zezera lampang Bethsita tan, Tabath kianga Abelmehola gamgi phain a taikek uhi.
22And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath.
23Huan, Israelte Naphtali a kipan, Aser akipan, Manasi tengteng a kigawm khawm ua, Midiante a delhta uhi.
23And the men of Israel gathered themselves together out of Naphtali, and out of Asher, and out of all Manasseh, and pursued after the Midianites.
24Huan, Gideonin Ephraim tanggam tengteng ah, Midiante hong sual un, Beth-Bara tanin luite na nalak khalh un, Jordan lui toh, chiin mite a vialtai saka, Huchiin Ephraimte tengteng a kikhawm khawm ua, Beth-Bara tanin luite Jordan lui toh a nalak khalh vek uhi.Huan, Midian kumpipa Oreb leh Zeeb a man ua; huan, Oreb bel Oreb suangpi ah a that ua, huan, Zeeb pen Zeeb grep sukna khukah a that uh. Midiante a delhta ua, huchiin Oreb leh Zeeb lutang Jordan lui gala Gideon kiangah a hontawi uhi.
24And Gideon sent messengers throughout all mount Ephraim, saying, come down against the Midianites, and take before them the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan. Then all the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and took the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan.
25Huan, Midian kumpipa Oreb leh Zeeb a man ua; huan, Oreb bel Oreb suangpi ah a that ua, huan, Zeeb pen Zeeb grep sukna khukah a that uh. Midiante a delhta ua, huchiin Oreb leh Zeeb lutang Jordan lui gala Gideon kiangah a hontawi uhi.
25And they took two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb; and they slew Oreb upon the rock Oreb, and Zeeb they slew at the winepress of Zeeb, and pursued Midian, and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the other side Jordan.
