4

1Bebukadnezzar kumpipa, mite tengteng, namte leh paute, lei tengtenga tengte kiangah; na kiang uah lemna hihpunin om hen.
1Nebuchadnezzar the king, to all the peoples, nations, and languages, who dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you.
2Tungnungpen Pathianin kei lama a bawl chiamtehnate leh thillamdangte etsak kei adingin hoih leh a kilawm hi.
2It has seemed good to me to show the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked toward me.
3A chiamtehnate thupi hina mahmah e: a thillamdangte thilhihthei hina mahmah uh e: a gam khantawn gamahi a, a lalna a khang a khangin a om in.
3How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.
4Kei Nebukadnezzar ka in sungah ka khawla, ka inpi sungah ka luna,
4I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at rest in my house, and flourishing in my palace.
5Honlausak mang ka nei a; huan ka lupna tungah ngaihtuahnate leh ka lungtang mengmuhten honhihbuai uhi.
5I saw a dream which made me afraid; and the thoughts on my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.
6Huaijiakin hilhchetna ka kianga a kithihsak ding un, Babulon mi pil tengteng ka maa pi ding thupiak ka bawlta hi.
6Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream.
7Huchiin mitkhialdawitawite, bummite, Kaldaimite leh asisanmite a hongpai ua: huan a ma uah ka mangka genta hi; himahleh a hilhchetna ka kiangah a kitheisak kei uh.
7Then came in the magicians, the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers; and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known to me its interpretation.
8A hihhangin a tawptawpin ka maah, Danialm a min ka pathian min dung juiin, Beltesazar hi ven, amaha pathian siangthoute kha a omna: huchiin a maah mang tuh ka gentaa.
8But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and I told the dream before him, saying,
9Aw Beltesazar, mitkhialdawitawite heutup, nang ah, [athian siangthoute kha a oma, thugk bangmahin nang a honhihbuai kei chih ka theih jiakin, ka manga ka muh mengmuhte leh a hilhchetna honhilh in, ka chia,
9Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no secret troubles you, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.
10Ka lupna tunga ka lutang mengmuhte hichibang ahi: Lei lai ah, ngaiin, sing khat ka mua, huai sandan a thupi mahmah hi.
10Thus were the visions of my head on my bed: I saw, and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth; and its height was great.
11Huai sing a hongkhanga, a honghata, a sannain van a sun toua, lei tengteng tawp huaiah a kimu hi.
11The tree grew, and was strong, and its height reached to the sky, and its sight to the end of all the earth.
12A nahte a hoih un, a gah pha mahmaha; huaiah tengteng adingin an a om hi: gama sate a nuai lim ah a om ua, vana vasate ahiangahte a teng ua, sa tengteng huaia kipanin a kivak uhi.
12The leaves of it were beautiful, and its fruit much, and in it was food for all: the animals of the field had shadow under it, and the birds of the sky lived in its branches, and all flesh was fed from it.
13Ka lupna tungah ka lutang mengte ka mu a, ngaiin, van akipanin veng mi siangthou khat a hongpai suk hi.
13I saw in the visions of my head on my bed, and behold, a watcher and a holy one came down from the sky.
14Ngaih takin a kikoua, hichibangin a chi a: Sing tuh phuk inla, ahiangte sat khia inla, a nahte akipan vasate.
14He cried aloud, and said thus, Cut down the tree, and cut off its branches, shake off its leaves, and scatter its fruit: let the animals get away from under it, and the fowls from its branches.
15A hihhangin leia a zungte kithuahpih pen hawiin, sik leh dal guia henin, gama loupa nou lakah van daituiin kawt henla, a tantuan leia loupa lak sate toh hi hen.
15Nevertheless leave the stump of its roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of the sky: and let his portion be with the animals in the grass of the earth:
16A lungtang mihing akipan khenbin om henlam a kiangah sa lungtang piak hihen; huan hun sagih a tungah bei hen.
16let his heart be changed from man’s, and let an animal’s heart be given to him; and let seven times pass over him.
17Gawtna vengmite thupiak ahi a, mi siangthoute thuphut: huchia Tungnungpenin mite gamah vai a hawma, a utna peuh kiangah huai tungah a dingkhe saka chih mihingten a theihna dingun.
17The sentence is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones; to the intent that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will, and sets up over it the lowest of men.
18Hiai mang kei kumpipa Nebukadnezzarin ka mana: huan, nang, Aw Beltesazar, a hilhchetna genkhia in, ka gama mi pilte tentenin ka kiangah a hilhchetna a honthei sak thei ngal kei ua; himahleh nang na hihthei, nanga pathian siangthoute kha a om jiakin.
18This dream I, king Nebuchadnezzar, have seen; and you, Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation, because all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in you.
19Huan Daniel, a min Beltesazar in, sawtlou kal lamdang a sa a, a ngaihtuahnaten amah a patausak uh. Kumpipan a dawnga huan, Beltesazar, mang hiam a hilchetna hiamin nang honpatausak kei hen, a chi a. Beltesazar in a dawng a, Ka TOUPA, mang nang honmudahte lam thu hi henla, a hilhchetna na galte lam thu hi hen.
19Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stricken mute for a while, and his thoughts troubled him. The king answered, Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream, or the interpretation, trouble you. Belteshazzar answered, My lord, the dream be to those who hate you, and its interpretation to your adversaries.
20Na sing muh, hong khanga, honghata, a sanna in van a sut touha, hiai a kipan lei tengteng a kimuhna;
20The tree that you saw, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached to the sky, and its sight to all the earth;
21a nahte a hoih a, a gah pha mahmah a, huai ah tengteng a ding an a oma; huai nuaiah gama sate a teng ua, ahiangte ah vana vasaten tenna a nei uh:
21whose leaves were beautiful, and its fruit much, and in it was food for all; under which the animals of the field lived, and on whose branches the birds of the sky had their habitation:
22Aw kumpipa, huai hongkhang a, honghat, nangmah na hi a: na thupina lah a khangin, van a sunin, na lalna lah lei tawp pha in ahi ngala.
22it is you, O king, that are grown and become strong; for your greatness is grown, and reaches to the sky, and your dominion to the end of the earth.
23Vana kipana kumpipan vengmi siangthou hongpai suk a muh a, Sing tuh phuk inla, hihgawpin; himahleh leia a zungte kithuahpih hawiin, sik leh dal guia hen toh, gama loupa nou lak ah; vana daitui in kawt henla, huan a tantuan gama sate kiangah hi hen, a tunga hun sagih a bei matan, chih thu ahih leh;
23Whereas the king saw a watcher and a holy one coming down from the sky, and saying, Cut down the tree, and destroy it; nevertheless leave the stump of its roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field, and let it be wet with the dew of the sky: and let his portion be with the animals of the field, until seven times pass over him;
24Aw kumpipa, hiai a hilhchetna ahi, ka TOUPA kumpipa tunga hongtung, Tungnungpen thupiak ahi a:
24this is the interpretation, O king, and it is the decree of the Most High, which has come on my lord the king:
25Mite akipan hawlkhiak in na om dia; gama sate kiang ah na tenna a omta dia; bawngtalte bang a loupa neksak in na om dinga; van daitui in na kawt ding a; na tungah hun sagih a bei ding; mite gamah Tungnungpen in vai a hawma; a ututna kiangah huai tuh a pia chih na theih ma tan.
25that you shall be driven from men, and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field, and you shall be made to eat grass as oxen, and shall be wet with the dew of the sky, and seven times shall pass over you; until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.
26Huan sing zungte kithuahpih nuse ding a thu piak a om pen a hihleh; vanten vai hawm petmah uh ahi chih natheih khit chiang in na gam nang a ding in a kip ahi.
26Whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the roots of the tree; your kingdom shall be sure to you, after that you shall have known that the heavens do rule.
27Aw kumpipa, huaijiakin ka honthuhilh nanga dingin pomtuak leh tagahte kianga chitna etsaknain na thulimlouhnate tawpsan in; na hamphatna suksaua a om khak zenzen leh chiin.
27Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you, and break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if there may be a lengthening of your tranquility.
28Hiai tengteng kumpipa Nebukadnezzar tungah a hong tung hi.
28All this came on the king Nebuchadnezzar.
29Khasawm leh nih beiin Babulona kumpi inpi sungah a vaka.
29At the end of twelve months he was walking in the royal palace of Babylon.
30Kumpipan thu a gena, Hiai Babulon thupi, kumpi tenna mun dinga, ka thilhihtheihna hatnaa, ka lalna thupina dinga ka lam ahi kei maw? a chi a.
30The king spoke and said, Is not this great Babylon, which I have built for the royal dwelling place, by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?
31Kumpipa kam sunga thu a om lai mahmahin, van akipan aw a hongkiaa, Aw kumpipa Nebukadnezzar, na kianga thugen ahi: nang akipan gam a paimangta.
31While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from the sky, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: The kingdom has departed from you:
32Mite akipanin hawl khiak na hi dinga, huan na tenna gama sate kiangah ahi ding; bawngtalte banga loupa ne dinga bawlin na om dia; na tungah hun sagih a bei ding; Tungnungpenin mite gamah vai a hawma, huan, huai tuh a ututna kiangah a pia chih na theih matan, chiin.
32and you shall be driven from men; and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field; you shall be made to eat grass as oxen; and seven times shall pass over you; until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.
33Huai thil tuh a tungtaa: mite a kipana hawlkhiakin a oma; bawngtalte bangin loupa a ne petmaha; a pumpi tuh van daituiin a kawta; a sam mu vanlai multe a hongbata, a chinte vasate chinte a hongbat ma tan.
33The same hour was the thing fulfilled on Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and ate grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the sky, until his hair was grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.
34Huan nite beiin kei Nebukadnezzarin van lamah ka mitte ka suantou a, huan ka theihtheihnate ka kiangah a hongkik nawna, huchiin Tungnungpen ka pahtawia; amah khantawna om gepa ka phatin ka zahtaka hi: A lalna lah khantawn lalna ahi a, a gam lah a khang akhangin ahi ngala:
34At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and I praised and honored him who lives forever; for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom from generation to generation.
35Huan leia tengte tengteng bangmahlou banga ngaih ahi ua: huan van sepaih pawl leh leia tengtengte lakah a deihlam bangin a hih jela: kuamahin a khut a len thei un, a kiangah, Bang dia hih na hia? a chi theikei uh.
35All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he does according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or ask him, What are you doing?
36Huai lai mahin ka theihtheihna ka kiangah a hongkika; ka gam thupina, ka lalna leh hoihna ka kiangah lah a hongkika; huan ka midotte leh ka toupaten kei kiang a honzong ua; huchiin ka gamah kiptakin ka dinga, kei dingin thupina lian mahmah behlapin a omta hi.Huchiin kei Nebukadnezzarin van Kumpipa ka phatin ka pahtawiin ka zahtaka; a thilhih tengteng lah thutak ahi a, a lampite taka omte a hihniam thei hi.
36At the same time my understanding returned to me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and brightness returned to me; and my counselors and my lords sought to me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent greatness was added to me.
37Huchiin kei Nebukadnezzarin van Kumpipa ka phatin ka pahtawiin ka zahtaka; a thilhih tengteng lah thutak ahi a, a lampite taka omte a hihniam thei hi.
37Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are truth, and his ways justice; and those who walk in pride he is able to abase.
