1Ka galvennaah ka ding dinga, insang ah ka pang dinga, ka kianga bang ahia a gen ding thei dingin leh ka phunna tungtang bangchiiin ka dawng dia chih, thei dingin ka dak khe ding.
1I will stand at my watch, and set myself on the ramparts, and will look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
2Huan TOUPAN kei a hondawnga, Mengmuh pen gel inla, a sim peuhmah a lai theihna dingin, sungpekte ah kichian takin bawlin.
2Yahweh answered me, “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.
3Mengmuh lah hun sehsa ading ahi laia, a tawplam ah a kinoha, a juau kei ding; omtadih mahleh, ngak in; a hongpai ding jiakin, a zekai kei ding hi.
3For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay.
4Ngaiin, amaha a kha dik lou huai mi a lohsam ding; himahleh mi diktattuh a ginnain a hing ding.
4Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
5A hi, huai lou-in, uaiin lepchiahtaka thilhih, mi kiuangsak, ina om kinken lou ahi; gatmin banga deih hihlian ahi, sihna bang ahi a, suklungkim theih ahi kei, nam tengteng amah ah a kaikhawm jaw, a tungah mipite tengteng jaw, a tungah mipite tengteng a sekhawm hi.
5Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous. A haughty man who doesn’t stay at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol , and he is like death, and can’t be satisfied, but gathers to himself all nations, and heaps to himself all peoples.
6Hiaite tengtengin amah demin gentehna a gen un, amah demna paunak enghouna, Amaha lou hihpuangpa tung a gik; bangtan? chiin, a gen kei dign ua hia; khamna thila kihih inbulpa;
6Won’t all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases that which is not his, and who enriches himself by extortion! How long?’
7Nang honkei ding thakhatin a hongthou khia un, nang honhihbuai ding a hongkhanglou un, nang amaute adingin gallak ading hi lou ahi maw?
7Won’t your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?
8Nam tengteng na loh jiakin, mipitea omsunte tengtengin nang a honlok ding ua; mite sisan jiakin leh, gam tung, khopi tung leh a sunga teng tengteng tunga hiamgam hihna jiakin.
8Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you, because of men’s blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.
9Tunglam sanga a hu a seh theihna ding, gilou khuta kipana tatkhiaka om theihna dinga, a in adia punna gilou mumi tung a gik hi;
9Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!
10Mi tampi sat khia leh, na hinna tunga khialin na inkote tungah zumhuaina na zong ahi.
10You have devised shame to your house, by cutting off many peoples, and have sinned against your soul.
11Banga kipana suang kikou khe dinga, singa kipana inkamin dawng ding a hih jiakin.
11For the stone will cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the woodwork will answer it.
12Khua sisana lama, khopi gitlouhnaa dingsakmi tung a gik hi.
12Woe to him who builds a town with blood, and establishes a city by iniquity!
13Ngaiin, mei adinga mite a sepgim ua, bangmahlou adinga namte a kisukgim uh, sepaihte TOUPA akipan ahi kei maw?
13Behold, isn’t it of Yahweh of Armies that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?
14Tuiten tuipi a khuh bangin, TOUPA thupina theihnaa lei dim ding ahih jiakin
14For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea.
15A inveng dawnding pia a, na gu huaia hela, a vuaktanna uh na et theihna dinga, amah khansak lai mi, a tung a gik hi;
15“Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring your inflaming wine until they are drunk, so that you may gaze at their naked bodies!
16Thupina deihna-in zumhuainain na dima; nang leng dawn inla, zeksumloupa bangin omin; TOUPa khut taklam nang lam ngatsak ahi dinga, na thupina tungah zumhuaina hoihlou a om ding hi.
16You are filled with shame, and not glory. You will also drink, and be exposed! The cup of Yahweh’s right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.
17Lebanon tunga hiamgam hihnain nang honkhuh ding ahi ngal a, gamsate siatnain, nang a honlau sak ding; mite sisan jiakin, leh gam tung, khopi leh a sunga teng tengteng tunga hiamgamna hihna jiakin.
17For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction of the animals, which made them afraid; because of men’s blood, and for the violence done to the land, to every city and to those who dwell in them.
18A gelhmiin a gelh, milim gelh bang phatuam ahia; milim sun, zuaute sinsakpa, milim pautheilou bawl dinga, huaia a nasep bawlmi?
18“What value does the engraved image have, that its maker has engraved it; the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make mute idols?
19Sing kianga, Halhin; suang pautheilou kianga, Thouin, chimi tung a gik hi; Hiaiin a sinsak diam? Ngaiin dangkaeng leh dangkaa luan ahi a, a lakah nakna himhim a om kei hi.Himahleh TOUPA a biakin siangthou ah a oma; lei tengteng a maah dai sisip hen.
19Woe to him who says to the wood, ‘Awake!’ or to the mute stone, ‘Arise!’ Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in its midst.
20Himahleh TOUPA a biakin siangthou ah a oma; lei tengteng a maah dai sisip hen.
20But Yahweh is in his holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before him!”
