Hebrews

10

1Dan thuin thil hoih, hongom dingte a taktak lohkhiakna neilouin, a limkia aneih jiakin, kumtenga kithoihna ngeingei alat jelte un, a honnaih mite bangchik mahin a bukimsak thei ngei kei hi.
1For the law, having a shadow of the good to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near.
2Huchi hita kei leh, lat tawp thamta lou ding uhia? Abemite khatvei a hihsiangthou pahngal hile uh, khelhna kitheihna lah nei nawnlou ding hi ua.
2Or else wouldn’t they have ceased to be offered, because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins?
3Himahleh, huai kithoihna ah kum tengin khelhnate theihnawnna a hongom nak hi.
3But in those sacrifices there is a yearly reminder of sins.
4Bawngpate leh kelte sisanin khelhnate lamang thei vual ahingal keia.
4For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.
5Huchiin, khovela ahonglut laiin, Kithoihna leh thillat na deih keia, keia dingin pumpi non bawlsak jawa:
5Therefore when he comes into the world, he says, “Sacrifice and offering you didn’t desire, but you prepared a body for me;
6Halmanga pumpiaknate leh, khelhna dinga kithoihnate khawngah kipahna himhim na neikei hi.
6You had no pleasure in whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin.
7Huaitakin, ken, Pathian aw, ngaiin, Laibu jiala ka tungthu gelh ahih bangin, Na deihlam hih dingin ka hongpai, ka chia, achi a.
7Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come (in the scroll of the book it is written of me) to do your will, O God.’”
8A tungah, Kithoihna te, thillatte, halmanga pumpiaknate, khelhna dinga kithoihnate na deih keia, huaiahte kipahna na nei sam kei, a chi a, (huaite tuh danthu banga lat ahi a),
8Previously saying, “Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you didn’t desire, neither had pleasure in them” (those which are offered according to the law),
9huaitakin, Ngaiin, na deihlam hih dingin ka hongpai, a na chita a, A nihna a tunding theihna dingin a masapen a lamangta ahi.
9then he has said, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He takes away the first, that he may establish the second,
10Huai deihlamin, Jesu Kris pumpi khatvei thu a lat pah jiakin, hihsiangthouin I omta hi.
10by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11Huan, siampu chitengin kawla nisuak sima na semin, khelhnate bangchik mah a hihmang theilou kithoihna ngeingei lan gige in, a ding uhi.
11Every priest indeed stands day by day serving and often offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins,
12Amah bel, khantawna dinga khelhnate adia kithoihna khat kia alat nungin, Pathian taklam ah a vatuta jaw hi,
12but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13huai nungsiah tuh, a melmate a khepek ngakna asiama hih masiah uh a ngak nilouh a.
13from that time waiting until his enemies are made the footstool of his feet.
14Thillat khat kiain hihsiangthou sate khantawna dingin hihkim ta ngala.
14For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
15Huan, Kha Siangthouin leng a hoh theisak sam a:
15The Holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying,
16Huai ni khit chiangin a kiang ua thu ka khun ding tuh hiaite ahi, Toupan achi: a lungtang uah ka thupiakte ka koih dinga, a lungsim uah ka gelhna lai ding, chia a gen khitin,
16“This is the covenant that I will make with them: ‘After those days,’ says the Lord, ‘I will put my laws on their heart, I will also write them on their mind;’” then he says,
17A khelhnate uh leh a tatleknate uh ka theigige ta kei ding, a chi ngala.
17“I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more.”
18Huchiin, huchibangte ngaihdamna omna peuh ah khelhna adingin thillat a om nawn kei ahi.
18Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19Huchiin, unaute aw, Jesu sisan jiaka Mun Siangthoua lutngamna neiin,
19Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
20Lam a honbawlsak, lam thak leh hing ah, puanjak (huai tuh a pumpi chihna ahi) kantan in,
20by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21Pathian inkuante tunga Siampu thupi tak ineih jiakin,
21and having a great priest over God’s house,
22I lungtanga sia leh pha theihna sianglou thehsiansaka oma, I pumpi leng tuichima sila omin, ginna a theih chetna kimneiin lungtang tak mah puin I naih ding uhi.
22let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water,
23I lamet thugin, ling-lou in I pomkip ding uh, thuchiampa lah a muanhuai ngala;
23let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful.
24huan, itna leh thil hoih hiha kitokthou dingin ikingaih tuah tek ding uhi;
24Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works,
25khenkhat hih dan banga I kikhopnate uh tawpsan louin, kihasuan tuah jaw ni; nituh hongnai hulhula na thei un kihasuan tuah semsem un.
25not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.
26Thutak theihna kim itan nunga thil I hihkhelh teitei ngal injaw, khelhnate adia kithoihna a om tak het louh jiakin,
26For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins,
27vaihawmna lauhuai mulkimhuai tak bang hiam leh, doumite kangmang ding thangpaihna mei maban neiin I om zota ding hi.
27but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which will devour the adversaries.
28Mosi dan thu khawksa lou mi tuh theihpih mi nihtou thumtou hiam thum lainat omlouin asi jel uhi.
28A man who disregards Moses’ law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses.
29Pathian Tapa sikdena, thukhun sisan amah hihsiangthouna pen thil namaia bawla, hehpihna Kha hihvui mi tuh, huaimi sanga bangchi pheta gawtna thupijaw ahia, thuak taka naseh uh?
29How much worse punishment, do you think, will he be judged worthy of, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
30Phulakna himhim keimah lak ding ahi, keimahin ka thuk ding, chih leh, Toupan a mite a vaihawmsak ding, chi nawnpa lah I thei ngal ua.
30For we know him who said, “Vengeance belongs to me,” says the Lord, “I will repay.” Again, “The Lord will judge his people.”
31Pathian hing khuta puk tuh thil mulkimhuai taka hi.
31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32Himahleh, tuma lama hihvaka na om nung ua thuakna buaina thupi tak na thuak lai nite uh thei nawn un;
32But remember the former days, in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle with sufferings;
33Kong khatah jaw muhsit leh haksatna bang leng thuakin etnopa bawlin na om ua, kong khat ah jaw huchibanga bawla omte tuh thuakpihte na honghi uhi
33partly, being exposed to both reproaches and oppressions; and partly, becoming partakers with those who were treated so.
34Kolbunte tuh na lainat ua, gou hoihjaw, omden ding hi behlap, noumauin na neih uh kitheiin na van honlaksakte uh leng kipak takin na nathuakzouta behlap uhi.
34For you both had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your possessions, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and an enduring one in the heavens.
35Huchiin, na ginna uh, kipahman piak thupi tak nei ding ngei, paimang kei un.
35Therefore don’t throw away your boldness, which has a great reward.
36Pathian deihlam na hih nungun thilchiam tuh na muh theihna ding un kuhkalna na kiphamoh uhi.
36For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
37Sawtlou nung chiangin hongpai dingpa hongpai ding ahi, sawt a halta kei ding.
37“In a very little while, he who comes will come, and will not wait.
38Himahleh, ka mi diktat tuh ginnain a hing ding; a nungtolh le bel, ka khain amah ah kipahna himhim a neikei ding, chih.Himahleh, ei jaw mangthang dinga nungtolh pawla pang I hi kei ua; hinna humbit dinga ginna nei pawla pang I hi jaw uhi.
38But the righteous will live by faith. If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”
39Himahleh, ei jaw mangthang dinga nungtolh pawla pang I hi kei ua; hinna humbit dinga ginna nei pawla pang I hi jaw uhi.
39But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul.
