1Israel ka sukdam chiangin, huaichiangin Ephraim thulimlouhna muhkhiak ahi, Samari gitlouhna toh; juauthei lah ahi ngal ua: huan, guta a luta, a po lamah suamhat pawlten a lok uh.
1When I would heal Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim is uncovered, also the wickedness of Samaria; for they commit falsehood, and the thief enters in, and the gang of robbers ravages outside.
2A gitlouhna tengteng uh ka theigige chih a lungtangte un a ngaihtuah kei uh: tuin amau thilhihte ngeiin amaute a kainok hi; ka mai maah a om uh.
2They don’t consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their own deeds have engulfed them. They are before my face.
3A gitlouhna un a kumpipa uh a kipaksak ua, a juau un a lal uh.
3They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.
4A vek un angkawmte ahi uh; banghiam kangmiin silngouin a zelh suah masiah, tangbuang mekman jiaka mei sawn a tawp san thuk bang.
4They are all adulterers. They are burning like an oven that the baker stops stirring, from the kneading of the dough, until it is leavened.
5I kumpipa uh niin lalte uain sain amau leh amau a kichinasak ua; simmohhatte toh a khut a zankhia.
5On the day of our king, the princes made themselves sick with the heat of wine. He joined his hand with mockers.
6Mi a buk malam un, thuk bangin a lungtang uh lah mansain a bawl ngal ua; jankhuain a hehna uh a ama jingsangin meikuang bangin a kuang hi.
6For they have prepared their heart like an oven, while they lie in wait. Their baker sleeps all the night. In the morning it burns as a flaming fire.
7Thuk bangin a sa vek ua, a vaihawmmite uh a negai uh; a kumpipa tengteng uh a pukta uh: kei lama hongpatau kua mah a om kei uhi.
7They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges. All their kings have fallen. There is no one among them who calls to me.
8Ephraim, mite lakah a kidiaha; Ephraim lumlehlouh tanghou beu ahi.
8Ephraim, he mixes himself among the nations. Ephraim is a pancake not turned over.
9Mikhualten hatna a gai ua, aman a theikei: ahi, a tung koilailai hiamah mulkang a om, a theikei hi.
9Strangers have devoured his strength, and he doesn’t realize it. Indeed, gray hairs are here and there on him, and he doesn’t realize it.
10Huan, Israel kisaktheihnain a mai ah thu a gen hi: hinapiin lah TOUPA a Pathian lamah a kihei kei ua, hiai tengteng jiakin, amah lah a zong kei uh.
10The pride of Israel testifies to his face; yet they haven’t returned to Yahweh their God, nor sought him, for all this.
11Huan, Ephraim vakhu hai bang, theihsiamna bei ahi; Aigupta lam a sam ua, Assuria kiangah a pai uh.
11“Ephraim is like an easily deceived dove, without understanding. They call to Egypt. They go to Assyria.
12A pai chiang un, a tunguah ka len ka jak ding; vana vasate bangin amau ka kaikhe suk ding: ka sawi dinga, a kikhawmpi un a jaksa bang un.
12When they go, I will spread my net on them. I will bring them down like the birds of the sky. I will chastise them, as their congregation has heard.
13A tung uh a gik hi: kei akipanin a tamvakta ngal ua; a tunguah siatna: ka tungah a talekta ngal ua: a maute tat ut leng leng, ka siatna dingin juau a genta uhi.
13Woe to them! For they have wandered from me. Destruction to them! For they have trespassed against me. Though I would redeem them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
14A lungtang utoh ka kiang lamah a kap kei ua, a lupna tunguah achiau zosop uh: buhlehbal leh uain zongin a kikaikhawm ua, a tungah a hel uh.
14They haven’t cried to me with their heart, but they howl on their beds. They assemble themselves for grain and new wine. They turn away from me.
15A khut uh sinsakin hatsakta mahleng, ka siatna dingin a ngaihtuah uhi.A kik ua, himahleh tungsanga ompa kiangah ahi kei; thalpeu gilou bang ahi uh: a lei hehna jiakin namsauin a lalte uh a puk ding uh: Aigupta gamah hiai nuihsana a omna uh ahi ding hi.
15Though I have taught and strengthened their arms, yet they plot evil against me.
16A kik ua, himahleh tungsanga ompa kiangah ahi kei; thalpeu gilou bang ahi uh: a lei hehna jiakin namsauin a lalte uh a puk ding uh: Aigupta gamah hiai nuihsana a omna uh ahi ding hi.
16They return, but not to the Most High. They are like a faulty bow. Their princes will fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue. This will be their derision in the land of Egypt.
