Joshua

10

1Huan, hichi ahia, Jerusalem kho kumpipa Adoni-zedekin josuain Ai khua a laa, a hihgawpa, Jeriko khua leh a kumpipa uh a hihsiat bangin Ai khua leh a kumpipa uh leng a hihse gawpa, Gibeon khuaa miten Israelte toh kilepna a bawl ua, a lak uah a teng tei sam uh chih a jak un, a lauta mahmah ua;
1Now it happened when Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;
2Gibeon khua bel lian pi kumpipa khopi bang ahi ngala, Ai khua sangin a thupijawa, a mihing tengteng lah hattak ahi ngal ua.
2that they were very afraid, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all its men were mighty.
3Huchiin Jerusalem kumpipa Adoni-zedekin Hebron kho kumpipa Hoham te, Jermuth kho kumpipa piram te, Lakis kho kumpipa Japhi te, Eglon kho kumpipa Debir tekhawng,
3Therefore Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem sent to Hoham king of Hebron, to Piram king of Jarmuth, to Japhia king of Lachish, and to Debir king of Eglon, saying,
4Hongpai unla, hongpanpih un, Gibeon i vasual ding uh: Josua leh Israel suante toh kilepna a bawlta ngal ua; chiin a thukhak khawma.
4“Come up to me, and help me, and let us strike Gibeon; for it has made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.”
5Huchiin Amorte kumpipa ngate Jerusalem kho kumpipa te, Hebron kho kumpipa te, Jermuth kho kumpipa te, Lakis kho kumpipa te, Eglon kho kumpipa a kikhawm khawm ua, a sepaihte tengteng utoh a vahoh tou ua, Gibeon kho jawnah giahbuk a sat ua, a sualta uh.
5Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their armies, and encamped against Gibeon, and made war against it.
6Huan, Gibeonten a giahmun Gilgal ah, Josua kiangah mi a sawl ua, Na sikhate donsaklou ken; kintakin ka kiang uah hong tou inla, honghondam inla, hong panpihin: singtang gama teng Amor kumpipate honsual dingin a kikhawm meumou uh, chiin.
6The men of Gibeon sent to Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, “Don’t abandon your servants! Come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us; for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the hill country have gathered together against us.”
7Huchiin Josua leh a kianga galkapthei mi tengteng leh mi hat hangsan tengteng Gilgal akipanin a hoh tou ua.
7So Joshua went up from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valor.
8Huan, TOUPAN Josua kiangah, Amaute kihta het ken: na khut ah ka honpe khinta hi; a lak ua mi kuamah na maa ding ding a om kei uhi, a chi a.
8Yahweh said to Joshua, “Don’t fear them, for I have delivered them into your hands. Not a man of them will stand before you.”
9Huchiin Josuain a sual guiha; jankhuaa Gilgal akipana nanahoh tousa ahi a.
9Joshua therefore came on them suddenly. He went up from Gilgal all night.
10Huan, TOUPAN Israelte maah amaute a hihbuai gawpta a, Gibeon khua ah tampi a thata, Beth-horon zottouhna lampi lamah a delha, Azek leh Maked kho phain a that jel.
10Yahweh confused them before Israel, and he killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them by the way of the ascent of Beth Horon, and struck them to Azekah and to Makkedah.
11Huan, hichi ahi a, Israelte maa a taikek ua, Beth-horon akipana paisukna muna a om lai un TOUPAN van akipanin gial lian pipi a tunguah Azek kho phain a kesaka, a si uh: Israel suanten namsaua a satlup sang un gial denlup a tamjaw uhi.
11It happened, as they fled from before Israel, while they were at the descent of Beth Horon, that Yahweh cast down great stones from the sky on them to Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than who the children of Israel killed with the sword.
12Huchiin TOUPAN Amorte Israel suante a piak niin Josuain TOUPA kiangah thu a gen a; Israelte mitmuhin, Ni, Gibeon kho tungah ding nilouhin; kha, nang leng, Aijalon guam ah om nilouhin, a chi a.
12Then Joshua spoke to Yahweh in the day when Yahweh delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel; and he said in the sight of Israel, “Sun, stand still on Gibeon! You, moon, stop in the valley of Aijalon!”
13Huchiin miten a melmate uh tunga phu a lak masiah uh ni a ding kinkena, kha leng a om nilouh hi. Hiai thu Jasar laibua gelh hilou hia? Huchiin ni vanlai ah a om nilouha, ni khat vengveng tum thu himhim a ngaihtuah kei hi.
13The sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the nation had avenged themselves of their enemies. Isn’t this written in the book of Jashar? The sun stayed in the midst of the sky, and didn’t hurry to go down about a whole day.
14TOUPAN huchibanga mihing aw a ngaihkhiak ni bangin a main ni himhim a om ngeikeia, a nungin leng a om ngei sam kei: TOUPAN Israelte a doupih lah ahi ngala.
14There was no day like that before it or after it, that Yahweh listened to the voice of a man; for Yahweh fought for Israel.
15Huan, Josua leh Israelte a giahmun uh Gilgal ah a kik nawn vek uhi.
15Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to the camp to Gilgal.
16Huan, huai kumpipa ngate a taimang ua, Maked kokhuk ah a bu ua.
16These five kings fled, and hid themselves in the cave at Makkedah.
17Huan, Kumpipa ngate a mu ua, Maked kokhuk ah a bu uhi, chiin a hilh ua.
17Joshua was told, saying, “The five kings are found, hidden in the cave at Makkedah.”
18Huchiin Josuain, Kokhuk kamah suang lian pipi khuk unla, a vengmite leng omsak un:
18Joshua said, “Roll large stones to the mouth of the cave, and set men by it to guard them;
19Noute bel om kei unla: na melmate uh delh jel unla, huai nungdalte that unla; a khua himhim uah lutsak kei un: TOUPA na Pathian un na khut uah amau lah a honpeta ngala, a chi a.
19but don’t stay. Pursue your enemies, and them from the rear. Don’t allow them to enter into their cities; for Yahweh your God has delivered them into your hand.”
20Huan, hichi ahi a, Josua leh Israel suanten a bei masiah ua a thahthah khit un, a omte kulhpi nei khuatea a tailut khit un,
20It happened, when Joshua and the children of Israel had finished killing them with a very great slaughter until they were consumed, and the remnant which remained of them had entered into the fortified cities,
21Mi tengteng Josua kianglamah Makeda ah galmuang takin a hongpai nawn ua: kuamahin Israel suante demna dingin a lei uh a lok kei uhi.
21that all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace. None moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.
22Huchiin Josuain, kokhuk kam hong un la, huai kumpipa ngate kokhuk akipan ka kiangah honpi un, a chi a.
22Then Joshua said, “Open the mouth of the cave, and bring those five kings out of the cave to me.”
23Huan, hichibangin a hih ua, huai kumpipa nga Jerusalem kho kumpipa, Hebron kho kumpipa, Jermuth kho kumpipa, Lakis kho kumpipa, Eglon kho kumpipa te kokhuk akipan a kiangah a honpi uh.
23They did so, and brought those five kings out of the cave to him: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.
24Huan, hichi ahia, huai kumpipate Josua kiangah a honpi uh, Josuain Israelte tengteng a samkhawma, amah toh kuan gal kap thei mite laka heutu deuhdeuhte kiangah, Hongpai nai unla, hiai kumpipate ngawng sik un, a chi a. Huchiin a hongpai nai ua, a ngawng uh a hongsik sak uhi.
24It happened, when they brought those kings out to Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the chiefs of the men of war who went with him, “Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings.” They came near, and put their feet on their necks.
25Huan, Josuain a kiang uah, Lau kei unla, lunglel sam kei un; hattak leh hangtakin om un: na dou uh na melmate uh tengteng tungah TOUPAN hichibangin a hih jel sin hi, a chi a.
25Joshua said to them, “Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed. Be strong and courageous, for Yahweh will do this to all your enemies against whom you fight.”
26Huan, huai khitin Josuain a suala, a hihluma, sing nga dawnah a khai: huchiin nitaklam tanin sing dawnah a kikhai uhi.
26Afterward Joshua struck them, put them to death, and hanged them on five trees. They were hanging on the trees until the evening.
27Huan, hichi ahi a, ni tum kuanin Josuain thu a pia a, sing dawn akipan a lakhia ua, a bukna kokhuk uah a pailut ua, a kokhuk kam suang lian pipiin a sin ua, tutanin leng a om lailai.
27It happened at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave in which they had hidden themselves, and laid great stones on the mouth of the cave, which remain to this very day.
28Huan, Josuain huai niin makeda khua a laa, a kumpipa uh nasanin namsauin a suala; huai khuaa om tengteng toh a hihlum keuhkeuha, khat lel leng hawi a neikei: huchiin Jeriko kho kumpipa tunga a hih mahbangin Makeda kho kumpipa tungah leng a hih hi.
28Joshua took Makkedah on that day, and struck it with the edge of the sword, with its king. He utterly destroyed them and all the souls who were in it. He left none remaining. He did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.
29Huan, Josua Israelte tengteng toh Makeda khua akipanin Libna kholamah a pai ua, Libna khua a sual uh:
29Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, to Libnah, and fought against Libnah.
30Huchiin TOUPAN huai khua kumpipa nasan un Israelte khut ah a pe nawn leuleua; huan, huaikhua sualin a sunga om tengteng a hihlum veka; a sunga mi khat mahmah leng hawi a neikei hi; huchiin Jeriko kho kumpipa tungah leng a hih.
30Yahweh delivered it also, with its king, into the hand of Israel. He struck it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls who were in it. He left none remaining in it. He did to its king as he had done to the king of Jericho.
31Huan, Josua Israelte tengteng toh Libna khua akipan Lakis kho lamah a pai ua, panmun a khoh ua, a sual ua:
31Joshua passed from Libnah, and all Israel with him, to Lachish, and encamped against it, and fought against it.
32Huchiin TOUPAN Lakis khua Israelte khut ah a piaa, a ni nih niin a laa, huai khua sualin a sunga om tengteng namsauin a hihlum veka, Libna kho tunga a hih bangin.
32Yahweh delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel. He took it on the second day, and struck it with the edge of the sword, with all the souls who were in it, according to all that he had done to Libnah.
33Huchin Bezer kho kumpipa Horam Lakis khua panpih dingin a hoh toua; huan, Josuain amah leh a heute nasan khat mahmah leng hawi louin a that gam hi.
33Then Horam king of Gezer came up to help Lachish; and Joshua struck him and his people, until he had left him none remaining.
34Huan, Josua Israelte tengteng toh Lakis khua akipan Eglon kho lamah apai ua, panmun a khoh ua; a sual ua;
34Joshua passed from Lachish, and all Israel with him, to Eglon; and they encamped against it fought against it.
35Huan, huai niin a la ua, huan, huai nimahin huai khua sualin a sunga om tengtengnamsauin a hihlum sipsipa. Lakis kho tunga a hihbangin.
35They took it on that day, and struck it with the edge of the sword. He utterly destroyed all the souls who were in it that day, according to all that he had done to Lachish.
36Huan, Josua Israelte tengteng toh Eglon khua akipanin Hebron kho lamah a pai ua; a sual ua:
36Joshua went up from Eglon, and all Israel with him, to Hebron; and they fought against it.
37Huchiin a la ua, huai khua leh a kumpipa uh leh, a khopel tengteng leh, a suanga om tengteng namsaua sualin a hihlum veka, Eglon kho tunga hih bangin khat mahmah leng hawi a neikeia; a khua nangawn hihse vekin a sunga om tengteng a hihlum sipsip hi.
37They took it, and struck it with the edge of the sword, with its king and all its cities, and all the souls who were in it. He left none remaining, according to all that he had done to Eglon; but he utterly destroyed it, and all the souls who were in it.
38Huan, Josua leh Israelte tengteng Debir kho lamah a kihei nawn ua; a sual ua:
38Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to Debir, and fought against it.
39Huchiin huai khua leh, a kumpipa uh leh a khopel tengteng a la ua; huan, namsauin a sual ua, a sunga om tengteng a hihlum keuhkeuh ua; khat mahmah leng hawi a neikei: Hebron kho tunga a hih bangin Debir khua leh a kumpipa uh tunga hih bangin.
39He took it, with its king and all its cities. They struck them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls who were in it. He left none remaining. As he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to its king; as he had done also to Libnah, and to its king.
40Huchiin Josuain a gam pumpiin tanggamte, simgamte, tanghap gamte hihse vekin a kumpipa tengteng uh a hihlumveka: khat mahmah hawi a neikei: TOUPA, Israelte Pathian thupiak bangin a hing peuhmah a hihchimit gawp hi.
40So Joshua struck all the land, the hill country, and the South, and the lowland, and the slopes, and all their kings. He left none remaining, but he utterly destroyed all that breathed, as Yahweh, the God of Israel, commanded.
41Huan, josuain Kadeshbarnea akipana Gaza phain, Gosen gam tengteng toh Gibeon phain a hihse veka.
41Joshua struck them from Kadesh Barnea even to Gaza, and all the country of Goshen, even to Gibeon.
42Huai kumpipate tengteng leh a gam uh TOUPA, Israelte Pathianin Israelte a doupih jiakin, Josuain hun khata a mat vek ahi uhi.Huan, Josua leh Israelte tengteng a giahmun Gilgal ah a kiknawn vek uhi.
42Joshua took all these kings and their land at one time, because Yahweh, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.
43Huan, Josua leh Israelte tengteng a giahmun Gilgal ah a kiknawn vek uhi.
43Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to the camp to Gilgal.
