1Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying,
2Vangam tuh kumpipa kua hiam a tapa a dia kitenna ankuang lui toh teh ahi.
2 “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son,
3Huan, kitenna ankuang um dia achialte tuh sam ding in a sikhate a sawl a, himahleh, a hong nuamkei uh.
3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come.

4 Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast!”’
5Himahleh, a na limsakkei ua, a pai mang ua, khat tuh a lou ah a kuan a, khat tuh a sumsinna ah;
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise,
6mi dangte'n a sikhate a man ua, zumhuai tak in a bawl ua, a hihlumta mai ua.
6 and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them.
7Huchi in, kumpipa tuh a thangpaita a; a sepaih hon a sawl a, huai tualthatte a hihmang a, a khua uh leng a halsakta.
7 When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
8Huan, a sikhate kiang ah, Kitenna ankuang man a hita, ka chialte lah ne tak a hikei uh.
8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy.
9Huaiziak in, lamkathuamte khawng ah pai unla, mi na muh peuhpeuh uh kitenna ankuang um ding in chial un, a chi a.
9 Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.’
10Huchi in, huai sikhate a pawt ua, lamkathuam khawng a vapai in, a muh peuhmah uh, migilou leh mihoihte leng, a pikhawmvek ua: huchi in, kitenna dantan tuh mi chialte in a hong dimta a.
10 Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests.
11Himahleh, kumpipa tuh mi chialte en ding a a hong lut leh, kitenna puan silhlou mi khat huai ah a mu a;
11 But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn’t have on wedding clothing,
12Huchi in, a kiang ah, Lawm, bangchidan ahia, kitenna puan silhlou ahiai lai a nong lut? a chi a. Huan, amah tuh a dai dide a.
12 and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.
13Huan, kumpipa'n a sikhate kiang ah, A khut leh a khe gak unla, polam mial ah paikhia un; huailai ah kah leh hagawi a om ding, a chi.
13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’
14Chialte tuh tampi ahi ua, telte jaw tawmchik ahi uh, a chi a.
14 For many are called, but few chosen.”
15Huailai in Pharisaite a thugen a mat theihna dingdan a vakikum ua.
15Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might entrap him in his talk.
16Huan, amau tuh a nungjuite uleh Herod pawlte a kiang ah a sawl ua, huai mite'n tuh, Sinsakpa, mi diktak na hi a, diktak in Pathian lam thu na hilh a, poisak tuan kuamah na neikei chih ka thei uh; kuamah khentuam na neikei a.
16They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach, for you aren’t partial to anyone.
17Huaijiak in, bangchi na sa a? hon hilh di aw? Kaisar kiang a siah tawi a siang hia sianglou? A chi ua.
17Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”
18Himahleh, Jesu'n a gitlouhdan uh a nathei a, Lepchiahte aw, bangdia hon ze-et na hi ua?
18But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test me, you hypocrites?
19Siahsum tuh honla un, a chi a. Huan, a kiang ah makhai a honla ua.
19 Show me the tax money.” They brought to him a denarius.
20Huan, aman a kiang uah, Hiai kua lim leh kua min ahia? A chi a.
20He asked them, “Whose is this image and inscription?”
21Amau tuh a kiang ah, Kaisar a, a chi ua. Huan, aman a kiang uah, A hih nung, Kaisar thilte Kaisar kiang ah pia unla, Pathian thilte Pathian kiang ah peta unla, a chi a.
21They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
22Huai a jak un lamdang a sa mahmah ua, amah a paisan ua, a paimangta uh.
22When they heard it, they marveled, and left him, and went away.
23Huai ni mah in, Saddukaite, thohnawnna a omkei chite, a kiang ah a hong ua;
23On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,

24saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.’
25A hi, ka lak uah sal sagih a om ua; a upapen in ji a nei a, a si a, huan, chi a khahlouh jiak in a ji tuh a unaupa luah ding in a nutsiat a;
25Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no seed left his wife to his brother.
26huchimah bang in nihna in a luah a, thumna in a luah lai a, sagihna tan in a luah chiat ua.
26In the same way, the second also, and the third, to the seventh.

27After them all, the woman died.
28Huchi in, thohnawnna ah amau sagihte lak ah kua pen ji ahi dia? a vek un lah a nei chiat ngal ua, chi in, a dong ua.
28In the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her.”
29Jesu'n a kiang uah, Laisiangthou leh Pathian thilhihtheihna na theihlouh jiak un na ngai khial nak uhi.
29But Jesus answered them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
30Thohnawnna ah ji leh pasal a kitenna om nawnkei a, van a angelte bang ahi zota ding uh.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s angels in heaven.
31Ahihhang in, misi thohnawnna thu Pathian in na kiang ua a gen na simkei ua hia?
31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
32Kei Abraham Pathian, Isaak Pathian, Jakob Pathian ka hi, chi in, Pathian jaw misi Pathian a hikei a, mihing Pathian ahi jaw, a chi a, a dawng a.
32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
33Huan, mipite'n huai a jak un a thuhilh tuh lamdang a sa mahmah ua.
33When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.

34But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together.
35Huan, a lak ua dansiammi khat in, amah ze-et in thu a dong a,

36Sinsakpa, dan thu ah bang thupiak pen ahia thupipen? chi in,
36“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”
37Huan, aman a kiang ah, Toupa na Pathian tuh na lungtang tengteng in, na kha tengteng in, na lungsim tengteng in na it ding ahi, chih.
37Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38Huai tuh thupiak thupipen leh poimoh pen ahi.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39Huan, a zom in, a kibatpih tuh hiai ahi, Nangmah na ki-it bang in na vengte leng na it ding ahi, chih.
39 A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
40Huai thupiak nih ah dan thu leh jawlneite thu tengteng a kikhaikhawm vek ahi, a chi a.
40 The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”
41Huan, Pharisaite a kikhoplai un. Jesu'n amaute thu a dong a.
41Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,
42Kris tuh bangchi na sa ua? kua tapa ahia? A chi a. Amau tuh a kiang ah, David tapa, a chi ua.

44 ‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet?’

46No one was able to answer him a word, neither did any man dare ask him any more questions from that day forth.
