¹ خداوند بار دیگر با من سخن گفت:

¹And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

² «ای انسان فانی، آنچه را که من، خداوند متعال می‌گویم، نبوّت کن و اعلام نما. این است کلماتی که باید بگویی: «'روز وحشت فرا می‌رسد!'

²Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Howl ye, Alas for the day!

³ زیرا آن روز نزدیک است، روز خداوند نزدیک است. روز ابرها و زمان نابودی ملّتها.

³For the day is at hand, yea, the day of Jehovah is at hand, a day of clouds; it shall be the time of the nations.

⁴ در مصر جنگ خواهد بود و تنگدستی عظیمی در حبشه. بسیاری در مصر کشته خواهند شد، کشور تاراج می‌شود و ویران.

⁴And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and there shall be anguish in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be overthrown.

⁵ «در آن جنگ سربازان مزدور از حبشه، لیبی، لود، عربستان، کوب، و حتّی از قوم من کشته خواهند شد.»

⁵Cush, and Phut, and Lud, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the children of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.

⁶ خداوند می‌فرماید: «از مجدل در شمال تا اسوان در جنوب، همهٔ پشتیبانان مصر در جنگ کشته خواهند شد و ارتش مغرور مصر نابود خواهد شد. من، خداوند متعال چنین گفته‌ام.

⁶Thus saith Jehovah: They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her strength shall come down: from Migdol to Syene shall they fall in her by the sword, saith the Lord Jehovah.

⁷ این سرزمین، ویران‌ترین سرزمین در جهان خواهد بود و شهرهایش کاملاً ویران خواهند ماند.

⁷And they shall be desolated in the midst of the countries that are desolated, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.

⁸ هنگامی‌که مصر را به آتش بکشم و همهٔ مدافعان آن کشته شوند، آنگاه خواهند دانست که من، خداوند هستم.»

⁸And they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and all her helpers shall be broken.

⁹ «هنگامی‌که آن روز فرا رسد و مصر نابود گردد، قاصدان من با کشتی بیرون خواهند رفت تا سودانی‌های بی‌خبر را به وحشت بیندازد، آن روز نزدیک است.»

⁹In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships, to make careless Ethiopia afraid; and anguish shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for behold, it cometh!

¹⁰ بنابراین خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «به دست نبوکدنصر پادشاه بابل، ثروت مصر را پایان خواهم داد.

¹⁰Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.

¹¹ او و ارتش بی‌رحمش خواهند آمد تا سرزمین را نابود کنند. ایشان با شمشیر به مصر یورش خواهند آورد و سرزمین پر از اجساد خواهد شد.

¹¹He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with slain.

¹² من رود نیل را خشک خواهم کرد و مصر را در زیر قدرت مردان شریر خواهم گذاشت. بیگانگان همهٔ کشور را نابود خواهند کرد. من خداوند سخن گفته‌ام.»

¹²And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked; and I will make the land desolate, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I Jehovah have spoken [it].

¹³ خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «من بُتها و خدایان دروغین مِمفیس را نابود خواهم کرد. دیگر کسی نخواهد بود تا در مصر فرمانروایی کند و من همهٔ مردم را وحشتزده خواهم کرد.

¹³Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause the images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince out of the land of Egypt; and I will put fear in the land of Egypt.

¹⁴ من جنوب سرزمین مصر را ویران خواهم کرد و شهر صوعن را به آتش خواهم کشید. و حکم داوری را در مورد تیبِس به اجرا در خواهم آورد.

¹⁴And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set a fire in Zoan, and will execute judgment in No.

¹⁵ خشم خود را بر پلوسیوم که شهر مستحکم مصر است، می‌ریزم و اهالی تیبِس را نابود می‌سازم.

¹⁵And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the stronghold of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.

¹⁶ من مصر را به آتش خواهم کشید و پلوسیوم به درد شدیدی گرفتار خواهد شد. دیوارهای تیبِس خواهند شکست و مِمفیس در روز با دشمن روبه‌رو خواهد شد.

¹⁶And I will set a fire in Egypt: Sin shall be in great anguish, and No shall be rent asunder, and at Noph [there shall be] enemies in open day.

¹⁷ جوانان اون و فِیبَسَت با شمشیر کشته می‌شوند و سایر مردم به اسارت برده می‌شوند.

¹⁷The young men of Aven and of Pibeseth shall fall by the sword; and these shall go into captivity.

¹⁸ هنگامی‌که در آنجا حکومت مصر را درهم بشکنم و نیروی مغرور آن پایان یابد، روز تَحفَنحیس تاریک می‌شود. ابرها آن را می‌پوشاند و مردم همهٔ شهرها به اسارت برده خواهند شد.

¹⁸And at Tehaphnehes the day shall be darkened, when I break there the yokes of Egypt, and the pride of her strength shall cease in her; as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

¹⁹ هنگامی‌که مصر را چنین مجازات کنم، خواهند دانست که من خداوند هستم.»

¹⁹Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

²⁰ در روز هفتم ماه اول از سال یازدهم تبعید ما، خداوند به من فرمود:

²⁰And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first [month], on the seventh of the month, the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

²¹ «ای انسان فانی، من بازوی فرعون را شکسته‌ام و کسی آن را نبسته یا درمان نکرده است تا شفا یابد و نیرومند شود تا بتواند شمشیر را به دست گیرد.

²¹Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and behold, it shall not be bound up to apply remedies, to put a bandage to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.

²² بنابراین من، خداوند متعال چنین سخن می‌گویم: من علیه فرعون هستم و بازوهای او را خواهم شکست؛ بازوی نیرومندش و دیگری را که شکسته بود و شمشیر را از دست او خواهم انداخت.

²²Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong one, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

²³ من مصریان را در سراسر جهان پراکنده خواهم کرد.

²³And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

²⁴ من بازوی پادشاه بابل را نیرومند می‌سازم و شمشیر خود را به دست او می‌دهم، امّا بازوهای فرعون را خواهم شکست و او ناله خواهد کرد و در برابر دشمن خود خواهد مُرد.

²⁴And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand; and I will break Pharaoh's arms, so that he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly-wounded [man].

²⁵ آری، او را ناتوان می‌کنم و پادشاه بابل را نیرومند. هنگامی‌که شمشیر خود را به او بدهم و او آن را به‌ طرف مصر نشانه بگیرد، همه خواهند دانست که من خداوند هستم. من مصریان را در سراسر دنیا پراکنده خواهم ساخت. آنگاه همه خواهند دانست که من خداوند هستم.»

²⁵And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I have put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall have stretched it out upon the land of Egypt.

²⁶ من مصریان را در سراسر دنیا پراکنده خواهم ساخت. آنگاه همه خواهند دانست که من خداوند هستم.»

²⁶And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them through the countries: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.
