¹ در سال بیست و پنجم تبعید ما، یعنی چهارده سال پس از تسخیر اورشلیم، در روز دهم سال نو، در آن روز من حضور پرتوان خداوند را حس کردم و او مرا با خود برد.

¹In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, on that same day the hand of Jehovah was upon me, and he brought me thither.

² خداوند در رؤیا مرا به سرزمین اسرائیل برد و مرا بر کوه بلندی قرار داد. در جنوب، ساختمانهایی بودند که شبیه شهر به نظر می‌رسیدند.

²In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain; and upon it was as the building of a city, on the south.

³ او مرا نزدیکتر برد، مردی را دیدم که مانند برنز می‌درخشید. او ریسمانی نخی و چوبی برای اندازه‌گیری در دست داشت و در برابر دروازه ایستاده بود.

³And he brought me thither, and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a flax-cord in his hand, and a measuring-reed; and he stood in the gate.

⁴ آن مرد به من گفت: «ای انسان فانی، از نزدیک ببین و با دقّت گوش فرا ده و اندیشهٔ خود را به آنچه که به تو نشان می‌دهم، متمرکز کن! زیرا تو به اینجا آورده شده‌ای که اینها را به تو نشان بدهم تا قوم اسرائیل را از هرچه به تو نشان می‌دهم، آگاه سازی.»

⁴And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thy heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for in order that it might be shewn unto thee art thou brought hither. Declare to the house of Israel all that thou seest.

⁵ آنجا دیواری در دور معبد بزرگ بود. آن مرد دیوار معبد بزرگ را با چوبی که سه متر طول داشت اندازه گرفت؛ پهنا و ارتفاع دیوار هر کدام سه متر بود.

⁵And behold, there was a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring-reed of six cubits, [each] of one cubit and a hand breadth. And he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.

⁶ آنگاه به دروازهٔ شرقی رفت و از پلّه‌هایش بالا رفت و عرض دروازه را اندازه گرفت و آن نیز سه متر بود.

⁶And he came to the gate which looked toward the east, and went up its steps; and he measured the threshold of the gate, one reed broad; and the other threshold one reed broad.

⁷ در پشت آن، راهرویی بود که در هر طرف آن سه اتاق برای نگهبانان بود. اتاقها مربّع بودند و هر ضلع آنها سه متر بود و ضخامت دیوار بین آنها دو متر و نیم بود. پشت اتاقهای نگهبانی راهرویی به طول سه متر وجود داشت که به اتاق ورودی که روبه‌روی معبد بزرگ قرار داشت، وصل می‌شد.

⁷And [each] chamber was one reed long and one reed broad; and between the chambers were five cubits; and the threshold of the gate, beside the porch of the gate within, was one reed.

⁸ او این اتاق را اندازه گرفت و طول آن چهار متر بود و قسمتی را که به معبد بزرگ نزدیک بود تشکیل می‌داد و ضخامت دیوارهای آن در قسمت پشت یک متر و نیم بود.

⁸And he measured the porch of the gate within, one reed.

⁹ اتاقهای نگهبانان در دو طرف راهرو هم‌اندازه بودند و پهنای دیوارهای بین آنها یکی بود.

⁹And he measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and the posts thereof, two cubits; and the porch of the gate was inward.

¹⁰ سپس آن مرد عرض راهرویی را که نزدیک دروازه بود اندازه گرفت. روی هم رفته شش و نیم متر بود و فاصله بین دروازه پنج متر بود.

¹⁰And the chambers of the gate which was toward the east were three on this side and three on that side: they three were of one measure; and the posts on this side and on that side had one measure.

¹¹ در برابر هریک از اتاقهای نگهبانان دیوار کوتاهی به ارتفاع نیم متر و عرض نیم متر وجود داشت. هر اتاق سه متر مربّع مساحت داشت.

¹¹And he measured the breadth of the entry of the gate, ten cubits; [and] the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.

¹² آنگاه او فاصله دیوار بین دیوار پشتی یک اتاق را تا دیوار پشتی اتاق روبه‌روی آن اندازه گرفت و فاصله آنها یازده و نیم متر بود.

¹²And there was a border before the chambers of one cubit, and a border of one cubit on the other side; and the chambers were six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side.

¹³ سپس اتاقی را که به حیاط منتهی می‌شد اندازه گرفت، ده متر بود.

¹³And he measured the gate from the roof of [one] chamber to the roof [of the other], a breadth of five and twenty cubits, entry opposite entry.

¹⁴ فاصلهٔ دروازه از خارج دیوار تا آخرین اتاق بیست و پنج متر بود.

¹⁴And he made posts, sixty cubits, and by the post was the court of the gate round about.

¹⁵ پنجره‌های کوچکی در دیوارهای خارجی اتاقها و راهرو وجود داشت و در روی دیوارهای داخلی راهرو، درختهای نخل کنده‌کاری شده بود.

¹⁵And from the front of the gate of the entrance unto the front of the porch of the inner gate were fifty cubits.

¹⁶ آن مرد، مرا از دروازه به درون حیاط برد آنجا سی اتاق در کنار دیوار ساخته بودند که در جلوی آنها محوطه‌ای سنگفرش شده قرار داشت

¹⁶And there were closed windows to the chambers, and to their posts within the gate round about, and likewise to the projections; and the windows round about were inward; and upon [each] post were palm-trees.

¹⁷ که تا جلوی حیاط ادامه داشت. سطح حیاط بیرون پایین‌تر از حیاط درونی بود.

¹⁷And he brought me into the outer court, and behold, there were cells, and a pavement made for the court round about: thirty cells were upon the pavement.

¹⁸ در سطح بالاتر دروازه‌ای وجود داشت که به‌ طرف حیاط درونی باز می‌شد. آن مرد فاصله دو دروازه را اندازه گرفت و این فاصله پنجاه متر بود.

¹⁸And the pavement was by the side of the gates, answering to the length of the gates, [namely] the lower pavement.

¹⁹ آنگاه آن مرد دروازهٔ شمالی را که به طرف حیاط باز می‌شد اندازه گرفت.

¹⁹And he measured the breadth from the front of the lower gate unto the front of the inner court outside, a hundred cubits eastward and northward.

²⁰ در آنجا سه اتاق نگهبانی در دو طرف دروازه قرار داشت. اندازهٔ این اتاقها اندازهٔ اتاقهای دروازهٔ شرقی بود. طول دروازه بیست و پنج متر و عرض آن دوازده و نیم متر بود.

²⁰And the gate of the outer court, that looked toward the north, he measured its length and its breadth.

²¹ اتاق ورودی، پنجره‌ها و نخلهای کنده‌کاری شده‌ای مانند دروازهٔ شرقی داشت و اتاق ورودی در انتها قرار داشت و روبه‌روی حیاط بود. و این اتاق با هفت پلّه به حیاط وصل می‌شد.

²¹And its chambers were three on this side and three on that side; and its posts and its projections were according to the measure of the first gate: its length was fifty cubits, and breadth five and twenty cubits.

²² روبه‌روی دروازهٔ شمالی در آن سوی حیاط، دروازه‌ای بود که به طرف حیاط باز می‌شد، درست مانند دروازه‌ای که در شرق وجود داشت. آن مرد فاصله این دو دروازه را اندازه گرفت و فاصلهٔ آنها پنجاه متر بود.

²²And its windows, and its projections, and its palm-trees were according to the measure of the gate that looked toward the east; and they went up to it by seven steps; and the projections thereof were before them.

²³ آنگاه آن مرد مرا به سوی جنوب برد و ما در آنجا دروازهٔ دیگری را دیدیم. او فاصله دیوارهای داخلی و اتاق ورودی را اندازه گرفت که مانند دروازه‌های دیگر بود.

²³And the gate of the inner court was opposite to the gate toward the north, and toward the east; and he measured from gate to gate a hundred cubits.

²⁴ اتاقهای این دروازه پنجره‌‌هایی مانند دروازه‌های دیگر داشت. طول این دروازه بیست و پنج متر و عرض آن دوازده و نیم متر بود.

²⁴And he brought me toward the south: and behold, there was a gate toward the south; and he measured its posts and its projections according to these measures.

²⁵ این دروازه هفت پلّه به طرف خارج داشت و در اتاق ورودی آن به طرف حیاط باز می‌شد و در دیوارهای راهروها درختهای نخل‌کنده‌کاری شده بود.

²⁵And there were windows to it and to its projections round about, like those windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.

²⁶ اینجا نیز دروازه‌ای به طرف حیاط بود. آن مرد فاصله آن را اندازه گرفت فاصله دو دروازه پنجاه متر بود.

²⁶And there were seven steps to go up to it; and its projections were before them; and it had palm-trees, one on this side and one on that side, upon its posts.

²⁷ آن مرد، مرا به دروازهٔ جنوبی حیاط درونی برد. او دروازه را اندازه گرفت که هم اندازهٔ دروازه‌های دیوارهای بیرونی بود.

²⁷And there was a gate to the inner court toward the south; and he measured from gate to gate toward the south, a hundred cubits.

²⁸ اتاقهای نگهبانان، اتاق ورودی و دیوارهای داخلی آن مشابه و هم اندازهٔ دروازه‌های دیگر بود. همچنین در راهروی آن پنجره‌هایی بود. طول آن بیست و پنج متر و عرض آن دوازده و نیم متر بود.

²⁸And he brought me into the inner court by the south gate; and he measured the south gate according to these measures:

²⁹ اتاق ورودی آن به طرف حیاط بیرونی بود و در روی دیوارهای راهروی آن، درختهای نخل کنده‌کاری شده بود. این دروازه هشت پلّه داشت.

²⁹and its chambers, and its posts, and its projections, according to these measures; and there were windows to it and to its projections round about: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth twenty-five cubits.

³⁰ آن مرد، مرا از طرف دروازهٔ شرقی به حیاط درونی برد آنجا را اندازه‌گیری کرد و هم‌اندازهٔ دروازه‌های دیگر بود.

³⁰And there were projections round about, twenty-five cubits long, and five cubits broad.

³¹ اتاق نگهبانان، اتاق ورودی و دیوارهای درونی آن مشابه و هم‌اندازهٔ دروازه‌های دیگر بود. در راهرو، اتاقها و اتاقهای ورودی پنجره‌‌هایی بود که طول آن بیست و پنج متر و عرض آن دوازده و نیم متر بود.

³¹And its projections were toward the outer court; and there were palm-trees upon its posts: and its ascent was [by] eight steps.

³² اتاق ورودی به طرف حیاط بیرونی بود. در روی دیوارهای راهرو، درختهای نخل کنده‌کاری شده بود که هشت پلّه دروازه را به حیاط بیرونی وصل می‌کرد.

³²And he brought me into the inner court toward the east; and he measured the gate according to these measures:

³³ سپس آن مرد، مرا به دروازهٔ شمالی برد. آنجا را اندازه‌گیری کرد و آنجا مشابه و هم اندازهٔ دروازه‌های دیگر بود.

³³and its chambers, and its posts, and its projections, according to these measures; and there were windows to it and to its projections round about: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth twenty-five cubits.

³⁴ مانند بقیّه، اتاق نگهبانان، دیوارهای تزئین شده و اتاق ورودی پنجره‌‌هایی داشت طول آن بیست و پنج متر و عرض آن دوازده و نیم متر بود.

³⁴And its projections were toward the outer court; and there were palm-trees upon its posts on this side and on that side: and its ascent was [by] eight steps.

³⁵ اتاق ورودی به طرف حیاط بیرون بود. در روی دیوارها درختان نخل کنده‌کاری شده بود. هشت پلّه حیاط بیرونی را به این دروازه وصل می‌کرد.

³⁵And he brought me to the north gate, and he measured [it] according to these measures:

³⁶ در حیاط بیرونی اتاقی بود که به وسیلهٔ دری به اتاق ورودی دروازهٔ شمالی متّصل می‌شد و در آنجا لاشهٔ قربانی سوختنی را می‌شستند.

³⁶its chambers, its posts, and its projections; and there were windows to it round about: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth twenty-five cubits.

³⁷ در اتاق ورودی، چهار میز بود؛ در هر طرف اتاق دو میز. در روی این میزها، حیوانات را برای قربانی سوختنی، قربانی گناه و یا برای جبران خطا ذبح می‌کردند.

³⁷And its posts were toward the outer court; and there were palm-trees upon its posts, on this side and on that side: and its ascent was [by] eight steps.

³⁸ در خارج اتاق ورودی دروازهٔ شمالی چهار میز بود در هر طرف دو میز.

³⁸And there was a cell and its entry by the posts of the gates; there they rinsed the burnt-offering.

³⁹ روی هم رفته هشت عدد میز بود که روی آنها حیوانات را ذبح می‌کردند. چهار میز در داخل اتاق و چهار میز در حیاط بود.

³⁹And in the porch of the gate were two tables on this side, and two tables on that side, to slay thereon the burnt-offering and the sin-offering and the trespass-offering.

⁴⁰ چهار میزی که داخل بود و برای آماده کردن قربانی سوختنی استفاده می‌شد، از سنگ تراشیده شده بود. طول و عرض این میزها هفتاد و پنج سانتیمتر و ارتفاع آنها نیم متر بود. تمام لوازمی که برای ذبح کردن قربانی استفاده می‌شد، بر روی این میزها نگهداری می‌شد.

⁴⁰And at the side without, at the ascent to the entry of the north gate, were two tables; and on the other side, which was at the porch of the gate, were two tables:

⁴¹ لاشهٔ قربانی روی این میزها قرار می‌گرفت. دور تا دور اتاق چنگک‌هایی به طول تقریبی هشت سانتیمتر نصب شده بود.

⁴¹four tables on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate, -- eight tables, whereon they slew [the sacrifice],

⁴² آنگاه او مرا به حیاط درونی آورد. آنجا دو اتاق بود که به طرف حیاط درونی باز می‌شدند یکی به طرف جنوب که در کنار دروازهٔ شمالی بود و اتاق دیگر به طرف شمال که در کنار دروازهٔ جنوبی بود.

⁴²-- and at the ascent, four tables of hewn stone, of a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half broad, and one cubit high; whereon also they laid the instruments with which they slew the burnt-offering and the sacrifice.

⁴³ آنگاه آن مرد به من گفت اتاقی که به طرف جنوب است برای کاهنانی است که در معبد بزرگ خدمت می‌کنند

⁴³And the double hooks of a hand breadth were fastened round about within; and upon the tables [they put] the flesh of the offering.

⁴⁴ و اتاقی که به طرف شمال است برای کاهنانی است که مسئول قربانگاه هستند. این کاهنان از نسل صادوق هستند. ایشان تنها کسانی از طایفهٔ لاوی هستند که اجازه دارند به حضور خداوند بروند و او را خدمت کنند.

⁴⁴And outside the inner gate were two cells in the inner court, one at the side of the north gate, and its front towards the south; the other was at the side of the south gate, the front towards the north.

⁴⁵ آن مرد، حیاط درونی را اندازه گرفت، مساحت آن پنجاه متر مربّع بود. معبد بزرگ در غرب آن بود و قربانگاه در روبه‌روی آن قرار داشت.

⁴⁵And he said unto me, This cell whose front is towards the south is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house.

⁴⁶ سپس مرا به اتاق ورودی معبد بزرگ برد و در ورودی را اندازه گرفت. حدود دو و نیم متر بود و عرض راهرو هفت متر و قطر دیوارهای دوطرف هرکدام یک و نیم متر بود. طول اتاق ورودی ده متر و عرض آن شش متر بود. این اتاق توسط ده پلّه به حیاط راه داشت. در دو طرف در ورودی دو ستون قرار داشت.

⁴⁶And the cell whose front is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar. These are the sons of Zadok, those who, from among the sons of Levi, approach unto Jehovah to minister unto him.

⁴⁷ طول اتاق ورودی ده متر و عرض آن شش متر بود. این اتاق توسط ده پلّه به حیاط راه داشت. در دو طرف در ورودی دو ستون قرار داشت.

⁴⁷And he measured the court, the length a hundred cubits, and the breadth a hundred cubits, four square: and the altar was before the house.

⁴⁸And he brought me to the porch of the house; and he measured the post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side; and the breadth of the gate, three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side.

⁴⁹The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the breadth eleven cubits, even by the steps whereby they went up to it; and there were pillars by the posts, one on this side, and one on that side.
