¹ باز به بالا نگاه کردم و چهار ارّابه را دیدم که از بین دو کوه برنزی بیرون آمدند.

¹And I lifted up mine eyes again, and saw, and behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.

² ارابهٔ اولی به وسیلهٔ اسبهای قرمز، دومی با اسبهای سیاه،

²In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;

³ سومی توسط اسبهای سفید و چهارمی به وسیلهٔ اسبهای ابلق کشیده می‌شد.

³and in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled, strong horses.

⁴ از فرشته‌ای که با من صحبت می‌کرد پرسیدم: «آقای من، اینها چیستند؟»

⁴And I spoke and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?

⁵ فرشته جواب داد: «اینها چهار روح آسمانی هستند که از حضور خداوندِ تمام روی زمین آمده‌اند.»

⁵And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

⁶ ارابهٔ اسبهای سیاه به سوی شمال، اسبهای سفید به جانب غرب و اسبهای ابلق به طرف جنوب می‌روند.

⁶That in which are the black horses goeth forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth towards the south country;

⁷ اسبها بی‌قرار بودند و می‌خواستند که هرچه زودتر بروند و در سراسر زمین گردش کنند. فرشته فرمود: «بروید و گشت و گذارتان را شروع کنید.» پس آنها به راه افتادند و تمام زمین را گردش کردند.

⁷and the strong go forth, and seek to go that they may walk to and fro through the earth. And he said, Go, walk to and fro through the earth. And they walked to and fro through the earth.

⁸ بعد او خطاب به من کرده فرمود: «آن اسبهایی که به طرف شمال رفتند، خشم مرا فرونشاندند.»

⁸And he cried unto me, and spoke unto me, saying, See, these that go forth towards the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.

⁹ خداوند به من فرمود:

⁹And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹⁰ «حلدا، طوبیا و یدعیا از طرف یهودیان تبعید شده در بابل، هدایایی از طلا و نقره با خود آورده‌اند. آن هدایا را از آنها بگیر و به خانهٔ یوشیا پسر صَفَنیا برو و با آنها یک تاج بساز. بعد آن تاج را بر سر یهوشع پسر یهوصادق کاهن اعظم بگذار.

¹⁰Take [gifts] of them of the captivity, of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, and come thou the same day, and enter into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, whither they are come from Babylon;

¹¹ سپس به او بگو که خداوند متعال چنین می‌فرماید: تو نمونهٔ آن مردی هستی که 'شاخه' نام دارد. او از جایگاه خود می‌روید و معبد بزرگ را بازسازی می‌کند.

¹¹yea, take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set [them] upon the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;

¹² او همان کسی است که معبد بزرگ را می‌سازد و صاحب شکوه و جلال پادشاهی می‌شود، او در مقام کاهن بر تخت سلطنت می‌نشیند و بین این دو مقام با هماهنگی کامل حکمرانی می‌کند.

¹²and speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, saying, Behold a man whose name is [the] Branch; and he shall grow up from his own place, and he shall build the temple of Jehovah:

¹³ بعد آن تاج از طرف حلدا، طوبیا، یدعیا و یوشیا به عنوان یادگار در معبد بزرگ خداوند نگهداری شود.» مردمانی ‌که در جاهای دور سکونت دارند، می‌آیند و در بازسازی معبد بزرگ خداوند کمک می‌کنند. آنگاه خواهید دانست که خداوند متعال مرا پیش شما فرستاده است. تمام اینها وقتی واقع می‌شوند که شما کاملاً از خداوند، خدای خود اطاعت نمایید.

¹³even he shall build the temple of Jehovah; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

¹⁴ مردمانی ‌که در جاهای دور سکونت دارند، می‌آیند و در بازسازی معبد بزرگ خداوند کمک می‌کنند. آنگاه خواهید دانست که خداوند متعال مرا پیش شما فرستاده است. تمام اینها وقتی واقع می‌شوند که شما کاملاً از خداوند، خدای خود اطاعت نمایید.

¹⁴And the crowns shall be for Helem, and for Tobijah, and for Jedaiah, and for Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of Jehovah.

¹⁵And they that are far off shall come and build at the temple of Jehovah: and ye shall know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto you. And [this] shall come to pass, if ye will diligently hearken to the voice of Jehovah your God.
