²către sfinţii şi fraţii credincioşi în Hristos, cari sînt în Colose: Har şi pace dela Dumnezeu, Tatăl nostru, şi dela Domnul Isus Hristos.

²to the saints and faithful brothers The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” in Christ at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

³Mulţămim lui Dumnezeu, Tatăl Domnului nostru Isus Hristos, căci ne rugăm neîncetat pentru voi,

³We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

⁴şi am auzit despre credinţa voastră în Hristos Isus, şi despre dragostea, pe care o aveţi faţă de toţi sfinţii,

⁴having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have toward all the saints,

⁵din pricina nădejdii care vă aşteaptă în ceruri şi despre care aţi auzit mai înainte în cuvîntul adevărului Evangheliei,

⁵because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the Good News,

⁶care a ajuns pînă la voi şi este în toată lumea, unde dă roade şi merge crescînd, ca şi între voi. Şi aceasta, din ziua în care aţi auzit şi aţi cunoscut harul lui Dumnezeu, în adevăr,

⁶which has come to you; even as it is in all the world and is bearing fruit and growing, as it does in you also, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

⁷cum aţi învăţat dela Epafras, prea iubitul nostru tovarăş de slujbă. El este un credincios slujitor al lui Hristos pentru voi,

⁷even as you learned of Epaphras our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf,

⁸şi ne -a vorbit despre dragostea voastră în Duhul.

⁸who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.

⁹De aceea şi noi, din ziua cînd am auzit aceste lucruri, nu încetăm să ne rugăm pentru voi, şi să cerem să vă umpleţi de cunoştinţa voiei Lui, în orice fel de înţelepciune şi pricepere duhovnicească;

⁹For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don’t cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

¹⁰pentruca astfel să vă purtaţi într'un chip vrednic de Domnul, ca să -I fiţi plăcuţi în orice lucru: aducînd roade în tot felul de fapte bune, şi crescînd în cunoştinţa lui Dumnezeu:

¹⁰that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

¹¹întăriţi, cu toată puterea, potrivit cu tăria slavei Lui, pentru orice răbdare şi îndelungă răbdare, cu bucurie,

¹¹strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy;

¹²mulţămind Tatălui, care v'a învrednicit să aveţi parte de moştenirea sfinţilor, în lumină.

¹²giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;

¹³El ne -a izbăvit de supt puterea întunerecului, şi ne -a strămutat în Împărăţia Fiului dragostei Lui,

¹³who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love;

¹⁴în care avem răscumpărarea, prin sîngele Lui, iertarea păcatelor.

¹⁴in whom we have our redemption, TR adds “through his blood,” the forgiveness of our sins;

¹⁵El este chipul Dumnezeului celui nevăzut, cel întîi născut din toată zidirea.

¹⁵who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

¹⁶Pentrucă prin El au fost făcute toate lucrurile cari sînt în ceruri şi pe pămînt, cele văzute şi cele nevăzute: fie scaune de domnii, fie dregătorii, fie domnii, fie stăpîniri. Toate au fost făcute prin El şi pentru El.

¹⁶For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him.

¹⁷El este mai înainte de toate lucrurile, şi toate se ţin prin El.

¹⁷He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.

¹⁸El este Capul trupului, al Bisericii. El este începutul, cel întîi născut dintre cei morţi, pentruca în toate lucrurile să aibă întîietatea.

¹⁸He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

¹⁹Căci Dumnezeu a vrut ca toată plinătatea să locuiască în El,

¹⁹For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him;

²⁰şi să împace totul cu Sine prin El, atît ce este pe pămînt cît şi ce este în ceruri, făcînd pace, prin sîngele crucii Lui.

²⁰and through him to reconcile all things to himself, by him, whether things on the earth, or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.

²¹Şi pe voi, cari odinioară eraţi străini şi vrăjmaşi prin gîndurile şi prin faptele voastre rele, El v'a împăcat acum

²¹You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works,

²²prin trupul Lui de carne, prin moarte, ca să vă facă să vă înfăţişaţi înaintea Lui sfinţi, fără prihană şi fără vină;

²²yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and blameless before him,

²³negreşit, dacă rămîneţi şi mai departe întemeiaţi şi neclintiţi în credinţă, fără să vă abateţi dela nădejdea Evangheliei, pe care aţi auzit -o, care a fost propovăduită oricărei făpturi de supt cer, şi al cărei slujitor am fost făcut eu, Pavel.

²³if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven; of which I, Paul, was made a servant.

²⁴Mă bucur acum în suferinţele mele pentru voi; şi în trupul meu, împlinesc ce lipseşte suferinţelor lui Hristos, pentru trupul Lui, care este Biserica.

²⁴Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the assembly;

²⁵Slujitorul ei am fost făcut eu, după isprăvnicia, pe care mi -a dat -o Dumnezeu pentru voi ca să întregesc Cuvîntul lui Dumnezeu.

²⁵of which I was made a servant, according to the stewardship of God which was given me toward you, to fulfill the word of God,

²⁶Vreau să zic: taina ţinută ascunsă din vecinicii şi în toate veacurile, dar descoperită acum sfinţilor Lui,

²⁶the mystery which has been hidden for ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to his saints,

²⁷cărora Dumnezeu a voit să le facă cunoscut care este bogăţia slavei tainei acesteia între Neamuri, şi anume: Hristos în voi, nădejdea slavei.

²⁷to whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory;

²⁸Pe El Îl propovăduim noi, şi sfătuim pe orice om, şi învăţăm pe orice om în toată înţelepciunea, ca să înfăţişăm pe orice om, desăvîrşit în Hristos Isus.

²⁸whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus;

²⁹Iată la ce lucrez eu, şi mă lupt după lucrarea puterii Lui, care lucrează cu tărie în mine.

²⁹for which I also labor, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily.
