¹M'a adus înapoi la uşa casei. Şi iată că ieşea apă de supt pragul casei, dinspre răsărit; căci faţa casei era spre răsărit. Apa se pogora de supt partea dreaptă a casei în spre partea de miază-zi a altarului.

¹He brought me back to the door of the house; and behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward; (for the forefront of the house was toward the east;) and the waters came down from under, from the right side of the house, on the south of the altar.

²M'a scos pe poarta de miază noapte, şi m'a făcut să ocolesc pe din afară pînă la poarta de răsărit. Şi iată că apa curgea din partea dreaptă.

²Then he brought me out by the way of the gate northward, and led me round by the way outside to the outer gate, by the way of the gate that looks toward the east; and behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

³Cînd a înaintat omul acela spre răsărit, cu măsura în mînă, a măsurat o mie de coţi, şi m -a trecut prin apă; apa îmi venea pînă la glesne.

³When the man went forth eastward with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the ankles.

⁴A mai măsurat iarăş o mie de coţi, şi m'a pus să trec prin apă, şi apa îmi venea pînă la genunchi. A măsurat iarăşi o mie de coţi, şi m'a trecut prin ea, şi apa îmi venea pînă la şolduri.

⁴Again he measured one thousand, and caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the knees. Again he measured one thousand, and caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the waist.

⁵A măsurat iarăşi o mie de coţi, şi atunci era un rîu pe care nu -l puteam trece, căci apa era atît de adîncă încît trebuia să înot-un rîu, care nu se putea trece.

⁵Afterward he measured one thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass through; for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed through.

⁶El mi -a zis: ,,Ai văzut, fiul omului?`` Şi m'a luat şi m'a adus înapoi pe malul rîului.

⁶He said to me, Son of man, have you seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the bank of the river.

⁷Cînd m'a adus înapoi, iată că pe malul rîului erau o mulţime de copaci pe amîndouă părţile.

⁷Now when I had returned, behold, on the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.

⁸El mi -a zis: ,,Apa aceasta curge spre ţinutul de răsărit, se pogoară în cîmpie, şi se varsă în marea şi vărsîndu-se în mare, apele mării se vor vindeca.

⁸Then he said to me, These waters issue forth toward the eastern region, and shall go down into the Arabah; and they shall go toward the sea; into the sea shall the waters go which were made to issue forth; and the waters shall be healed.

⁹Orice făptură vie, care se mişcă, va trăi pretutindeni pe unde va curge rîul, şi vor fi o mulţime de peşti; căci ori pe unde va ajunge apa aceasta, apele se vor face sănătoase, şi pretutindeni pe unde va ajunge rîul acesta va fi viaţă.

⁹It shall happen, that every living creature which swarms, in every place where the rivers come, shall live; and there shall be a very great multitude of fish; for these waters have come there, and the waters of the sea shall be healed, and everything shall live wherever the river comes.

¹⁰Pescarii vor sta pe malurile lui, dela En-Ghedi pînă la En-Eglaim, şi vor întinde mrejile; vor fi peşti de felurie soiuri, ca peştii mării celei mari, şi vor fi foarte mulţi.

¹⁰It shall happen, that fishermen shall stand by it: from En Gedi even to En Eglaim shall be a place for the spreading of nets; their fish shall be after their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

¹¹Mlaştinile şi gropile ei nu se vor vindeca, ci vor fi lăsate pradă sării.

¹¹But the miry places of it, and its marshes, shall not be healed; they shall be given up to salt.

¹²Dar lîngă rîul acesta, pe malurile lui de amîndouă părţile, vor creşte tot felul de pomi roditori. Frunza lor nu se va vesteji, şi roadele lor nu se vor sfîrşi; în fiecare lună vor face roade noi, pentru că apele vor ieşi din sfîntul Locaş. Roadele lor vor sluji ca hrană, şi frunzele lor ca leac.``

¹²By the river on its bank, on this side and on that side, shall grow every tree for food, whose leaf shall not wither, neither shall its fruit fail: it shall bring forth new fruit every month, because its waters issue out of the sanctuary; and its fruit shall be for food, and its leaf for healing.

¹³Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu: ,,Iată hotarele ţării, pe care o veţi împărţi ca moştenire celor douăsprezece seminţii ale lui Israel. Iosif va avea două părţi.

¹³Thus says the Lord Yahweh: This shall be the border, by which you shall divide the land for inheritance according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

¹⁴O veţi stăpîni unul ca şi altul, cum am jurat, cu mîna ridicată, că o voi da părinţilor voştri. Ţara aceasta vă va cădea deci la împărţeală ca moştenire.

¹⁴You shall inherit it, one as well as another; for I swore to give it to your fathers: and this land shall fall to you for inheritance.

¹⁵Iată hotarele ţării: în spre miază noapte, dela marea cea mare, drumul Hetlonului pînă la Ţedad,

¹⁵This shall be the border of the land: On the north side, from the great sea, by the way of Hethlon, to the entrance of Zedad;

¹⁶Humat, Berota, Sibraim, între hotarul Damascului şi hotarul Hamatului, Haţer-Haticon, spre hotarul Havranului.

¹⁶Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazer Hatticon, which is by the border of Hauran.

¹⁷Astfel hotarul va fi, dela mare pînă la Haţar-Enon, şi la miază noapte de el hotarul Damascului, Ţafonului, şi hotarul Hamatului. Acesta va fi hotarul dinspre miază-noapte.

¹⁷The border from the sea, shall be Hazar Enon at the border of Damascus; and on the north northward is the border of Hamath. This is the north side.

¹⁸În partea de răsărit, dintre Havran şi Damasc, între Galaad şi ţara lui Israel, hotarul va fi Iordanul, dela hotarul de miază noapte pînă la marea de răsărit şi anume pînă la Tamar. Acesta va fi hotarul de răsărit.

¹⁸The east side, between Hauran and Damascus and Gilead, and the land of Israel, shall be the Jordan; from the north border to the east sea you shall measure. This is the east side.

¹⁹Hotarul de miază zi, în spre miază zi, va merge dela Tamar pînă la apele Meriba dela Cades, pînă la pîrîul Egiptului, şi pînă la Marea cea mare. Acesta va fi hotarul de miază zi.

¹⁹The south side southward shall be from Tamar as far as the waters of Meriboth Kadesh, to the brook of Egypt, to the great sea. This is the south side southward.

²⁰Hotarul de apus va fi marea cea mare, pînă la locul unde apucă spre Hamat: acesta va fi hotarul de apus.

²⁰The west side shall be the great sea, from the south border as far as over against the entrance of Hamath. This is the west side.

²¹Ţara aceasta o veţi împărţi între voi, după seminţiile lui Israel.

²¹So you shall divide this land to you according to the tribes of Israel.

²²O veţi împărţi însă ca moştenire prin sorţ între voi şi între străinii cari vor locui în mijlocul vostru, acei străini cari vor naşte copii în mijlocul vostru. Pe aceştia îi veţi privi ca pe nişte băştinaşi între copiii lui Israel. Ei să aibă moştenirea prin sorţ împreună cu voi între seminţiile lui Israel.

²²It shall happen, that you shall divide it by lot for an inheritance to you and to the aliens who live among you, who shall father children among you; and they shall be to you as the native-born among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

²³Străinului îi veţi da moştenirea lui în seminţia în care va locui, zice Domul Dumnezeu.``

²³It shall happen, that in what tribe the stranger lives, there you shall give him his inheritance, says the Lord Yahweh.
