¹⁹De veţi voi şi veţi asculta, veţi mînca cele mai bune roade ale ţării;

²⁰dar de nu veţi voi şi nu veţi asculta, de sabie veţi fi înghiţiţi, căci gura Domnului a vorbit.``

²⁰but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it.”

²¹Vai, cetatea aceea credincioasă, cum a ajuns o curvă! Era plină de judecată, dreptatea locuia în ea, şi acum e plină de ucigaşi!

²¹How the faithful city has become a prostitute! She was full of justice; righteousness lodged in her, but now murderers.

²²Argintul tău s'a prefăcut în zgură, şi vinul tău cel ales a fost amestecat cu apă.

²²Your silver has become dross, your wine mixed with water.

²³Mai marii tăi sînt răzvrătiţi şi părtaşi cu hoţii, toţi iubesc mita şi aleargă după plată; orfanului nu -i fac dreptate, şi pricina văduvei n'ajunge pînă la ei.

²⁶I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called ‘The city of righteousness, a faithful town.’

³¹Omul tare va fi ca un cîlţ, şi lucrarea lui ca o scînteie; amîndoi vor arde împreună, şi nimeni nu -i va stinge.

³¹The strong will be like tinder, and his work like a spark. They will both burn together, and no one will quench them.”
