¹Proorocie împotriva Egiptului. Iată, Domnul călăreşte pe un nor repede şi vine în Egipt. Idolii Egiptului tremură înaintea Lui, şi li se îndoaie inima Egiptenilor în ei.

¹The burden of Egypt: “Behold, Yahweh rides on a swift cloud, and comes to Egypt. The idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst.

²,,Voi înarma pe Egipteni unii împotriva altora, şi se vor bate frate cu frate, prieten cu prieten, cetate cu cetate, împărăţie cu împărăţie.

⁵Apele mării vor seca, şi rîul va seca şi se va usca,

⁹Ceice lucrează inul dărăcit, şi ceice ţes ţesături albe vor fi acoperiţi, de ruşine,

¹³Voivozii Ţoanului au înebunit, voivozii Nofului s'au înşelat, căpeteniile seminţiilor duc Egiptul în rătăcire:

¹⁵Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which head or tail, palm branch or rush, may do.

¹⁶În ziua aceea, Egiptul va fi ca o femeie: va tremura şi se va teme, văzînd mişcarea mînei Domnului oştirilor, cînd o va ridica împotriva lui.

¹⁶In that day the Egyptians will be like women. They will tremble and fear because of the shaking of the hand of Yahweh of Armies, which he shakes over them.

¹⁷Chiar şi ţara lui Iuda va fi o groază pentru Egipt: cum i se va vorbi de ea, se va îngrozi, din pricina hotărîrii luate împotriva lui de Domnul oştirilor.

¹⁸În vremea aceea, vor fi cinci cetăţi în ţara Egiptului, cari vor vorbi limba Canaanului, şi vor jura pe Domnul oştirilor: una din ele se va numi cetatea nimicirii!

¹⁸In that day, there will be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan, and swear to Yahweh of Armies. One will be called “The city of destruction.”

¹⁹Tot în vremea aceea va fi un altar pentru Domnul în ţara Egiptului, şi la hotar, va fi un stîlp de aducere aminte pentru Domnul.

²⁴Tot în vremea aceea, Israel va fi al treilea, unit cu Egiptul şi cu Asiria, ca o binecuvîntare în mijlocul pămîntului.

²⁴In that day, Israel will be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth;

²⁵Domnul oştirilor îi va binecuvînta şi va zice: ,,Binecuvîntat să fie Egiptul, poporul Meu, şi Asiria, lucrarea mînilor Mele, şi Israel, moştenirea Mea!``

²⁵because Yahweh of Armies has blessed them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.”
