1,,Ascultaţi-Mă, ostroave! Luaţi aminte, popoare depărtate! Domnul M'a chemat din sînul mamei şi M'a numit dela ieşirea din pîntecele mamei.
1Listen, islands, to me; and listen, you peoples, from far: Yahweh has called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother has he made mention of my name:
2Mi -a făcut gura ca o sabie ascuţită, M'a acoperit cu umbra mînii Lui; şi M'a făcut o săgeată ascuţită, M'a ascuns în tolba Lui cu săgeţi,
2and he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand, he has hidden me: and he has made me a polished shaft; in his quiver has he kept me close:
3şi Mi -a zis: ,Israele, Tu eşti Robul Meu, în care Mă voi slăvi.`
3and he said to me, “You are my servant; Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”
4Şi Eu Mă gîndeam: ,Degeaba am muncit, în zădar şi fără folos Mi-am istovit puterea.` Dar dreptul Meu este la Domnul, şi răsplata Mea la Dumnezeul Meu.
4But I said, “I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice due to me is with Yahweh, and my reward with my God.”
5Şi acum, Domnul vorbeşte, El, care M'a întocmit din pîntecele mamei ca să fiu Robul Lui, ca să aduc înapoi la El pe Iacov, şi pe Israel, care este încă împrăştiat; căci Eu sînt preţuit înaintea Domnului, şi Dumnezeul Meu este tăria Mea.
5Now says Yahweh who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered to him (for I am honorable in the eyes of Yahweh, and my God has become my strength);
6El zice: ,Este prea puţin lucru să fii Robul Meu ca să ridici seminţiile lui Iacov şi să aduci înapoi rămăşiţele lui Israel. De aceea, te pun să fii Lumina neamurilor, ca să duci mîntuirea pînă la marginile pămîntului.
6yes, he says, “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the nations, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.”
7Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Răscumpărătorul, Sfîntul lui Israel, către Cel dispreţuit şi urît de popor, către Robul celor puternici: ,Împăraţii vor vedea lucrul acesta, şi se vor scula, şi voivozii se vor arunca la pămînt şi se vor închina, din pricina Domnului, care este credincios, din pricina Sfîntului lui Israel, care Te -a ales.``
7Thus says Yahweh, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers: “Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of Yahweh who is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”
8,,Aşa vorbeşte mai departe Domnul: ,La vremea îndurării Te voi asculta, şi în ziua mîntuirii Te voi ajuta; Te voi păzi şi Te voi pune să faci legămînt cu poporul, să ridici ţara, şi să împarţi moştenirile pustiite;
8Thus says Yahweh, “In an acceptable time have I answered you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you; and I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritage:
9să spui prinşilor de război: ,Ieşiţi!` şi celor ce sînt în întunerec: ,Arătaţi-vă.` Ei vor paşte pe drumuri şi vor găsi locuri de păşune pe toate coastele.
9saying to those who are bound, ‘Come out!’; to those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves!’ “They shall feed in the ways, and on all bare heights shall be their pasture.
10Nu le va fi foame, nici nu le va fi sete; nu -i va bate arşiţa, nici soarele; căci Cel ce are milă de ei îi va călăuzi şi -i va duce la izvoare de ape.
10They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun strike them: for he who has mercy on them will lead them, even by springs of water he will guide them.
11Voi preface toţi munţii Mei în drumuri, şi drumurile Mele vor fi bine croite.
11I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
12Iată -i că vin de departe, unii dela miază noapte şi dela apus, iar alţii din ţara Sinim.
12Behold, these shall come from far; and behold, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.”
13Bucuraţi-vă, ceruri! Veseleşte-te, pămîntule! Izbucniţi în strigăte de bucurie, munţilor! Căci Domnul mîngîie pe poporul Său, şi are milă de nenorociţii Lui.``
13Sing, heavens; and be joyful, earth; and break forth into singing, mountains: for Yahweh has comforted his people, and will have compassion on his afflicted.
14Sionul zicea: ,,M'a părăsit Domnul, şi m'a uitat Domnul!``
14But Zion said, “Yahweh has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me.”
15Poate o femeie să uite copilul pe care -l alăptează, şi să n'aibă milă de rodul pîntecelui ei? Dar chiar dacă l-ar uita, totuş Eu nu te voi uita cu niciun chip:
15“Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you!
16Iată că te-am săpat pe mînile Mele, şi zidurile tale sînt totdeauna înaintea ochilor Mei!
16Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.
17Fiii tăi aleargă; dar ceice te dărîmaseră şi te pustiiseră vor ieşi din mijlocul tău.
17Your children make haste; your destroyers and those who made you waste shall go forth from you.
18Ridică-ţi ochii de jur împrejur, şi priveşte: toţi aceştia se strîng, vin la tine.`` ,,Pe viaţa Mea, zice Domnul, că te vei îmbrăca cu toţi aceştia ca şi cu o podoabă, şi te vei încinge cu ei ca o mireasă.
18Lift up your eyes all around, and see: all these gather themselves together, and come to you. As I live,” says Yahweh, “you shall surely clothe yourself with them all as with an ornament, and dress yourself with them, like a bride.
19Căci locurile tale pustiite şi pustii, ţara ta nimicită, vor fi strîmte pentru locuitorii tăi; şi ceice voiau să te mănînce se vor depărta.
19“For, as for your waste and your desolate places, and your land that has been destroyed, surely now you shall be too small for the inhabitants, and those who swallowed you up shall be far away.
20Fiii aceştia, de cari ai fost lipsit, vor spune mereu la urechile tale: ,Locul este prea strîmt pentru mine; fă-mi loc, ca să pot să mă aşez.`
20The children of your bereavement shall yet say in your ears, The place is too small for me; give place to me that I may dwell.
21Şi vei zice în inima ta: ,Cine mi i -a născut? Căci eram fără copii, şi stearpă; eram roabă, izgonită: cine i -a crescut? Rămăsesem singură: unde erau aceştia?`
21Then you will say in your heart, ‘Who has conceived these for me, since I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering back and forth? Who has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?’”
22De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu: ,Iată, voi face neamurilor semn cu mîna, şi-Mi voi înălţa steagul spre popoare; ele vor aduce înapoi pe fiii tăi în braţele lor, şi vor duce pe fiicele tale pe umeri.
22Thus says the Lord Yahweh, “Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and set up my banner to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.
23Te vor hrăni împăraţi, şi împărătesele lor te vor alăpta. Se vor închina cu faţa la pămînt înaintea ta, şi vor linge ţărîna de pe picioarele tale, ca să ştii că Eu sînt Domnul, şi că ceice nădăjduiesc în Mine nu vor fi daţi de ruşine.``
23Kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am Yahweh; and those who wait for me shall not be disappointed.”
24,,Se poate lua prada celui puternic? Şi poate să scape cel prins din prinsoare? -
24Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives be delivered?
25,Da, zice Domnul, prada celui puternic îi va fi luată, şi cel prins de asupritor va scăpa; căci Eu voi lupta împotriva vrăjmaşilor tăi, şi voi scăpa pe fiii tăi.
25But thus says Yahweh, “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.
26Eu voi da asupritorilor tăi să-şi mănînce carnea, şi se vor îmbăta ca de must de însuş sîngele lor. Şi va şti orice făptură, că Eu sînt Domnul, Mîntuitorul tău, Răscumpărătorul tău, Puternicul lui Iacov.``
26I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”
