1,,Bucură-te, stearpo, care nu mai naşti! Izbucneşte în strigăte de bucurie şi veselie, tu care nu mai ai durerile naşterii! Căci fiii celei lăsate de bărbat vor fi mai mulţi de cît fiii celei măritate, zice Domnul.``
1“Sing, barren, you who didn’t bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife,” says Yahweh.
2,,Lărgeşte locul cortului tău; şi întinde învelitoarele locuinţei tale: nu te opri! Lungeşte-ţi funiile, şi întăreşte-ţi ţăruşii!
2“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations; don’t spare: lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.
3Căci te vei întinde la dreapta şi la stînga, sămînţa ta va cotropi neamurile, şi va locui cetăţile pustii.
3For you shall spread out on the right hand and on the left; and your seed shall possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4Nu te teme, căci nu vei rămînea de ruşine; nu roşi, căci nu vei fi acoperită de ruşine; ci vei uita şi ruşinea tinereţii tale, şi nu-ţi vei mai aduce aminte de văduvia ta,
4“Don’t be afraid; for you shall not be ashamed: neither be confounded; for you shall not be disappointed: for you shall forget the shame of your youth; and the reproach of your widowhood you shall remember no more.
5căci Făcătorul tău este bărbatul tău: Domnul este Numele Lui, şi Răscumpărătorul tău este Sfîntul lui Israel. El se numeşte Dumnezeul întregului pămînt,
5For your Maker is your husband; Yahweh of Armies is his name: and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; the God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6căci Domnul te cheamă înapoi ca pe o femeie părăsită şi cu inima întristată, ca pe o nevastă din tinereţă, care a fost izgonită, zice Dumnezeul tău.``
6For Yahweh has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off,” says your God.
7,,Cîteva clipe te părăsisem, dar te voi primi înapoi cu mare dragoste.
7“For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you.
8Într'o izbucnire de mînie, Îmi ascunsesem o clipă Faţa de tine, dar Mă voi îndura de tine cu o dragoste vecinică, zice Domnul, Răscumpărătorul tău.
8In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting loving kindness will I have mercy on you,” says Yahweh your Redeemer.
9Şi lucrul acesta va fi pentru Mine ca şi cu apele lui Noe: după cum jurasem că apele lui Noe nu vor mai veni pe pămînt, tot aşa jur că nu Mă voi mai mînia pe tine şi nu te voi mai mustra.
9“For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah shall no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
10Pot să se mute munţii, pot să se clatine dealurile, dar dragostea Mea nu se va muta dela tine, şi legămîntul Meu de pace nu se va clătina, zice Domnul, care are milă de tine.``
10For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed,” says Yahweh who has mercy on you.
11,,Nenorocito, bătuto de furtună, şi nemîngîiato! Iată, îţi voi împodobi pietrele scumpe cu antimoniu, şi-ţi voi da temelii de safir.
11“You afflicted, tossed with storms, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in beautiful colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires.
12Îţi voi face crestele zidurilor de rubin, porţile de pietre scumpe, şi tot ocolul de nestemate.
12I will make your pinnacles of rubies, and your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones.
13Toţi fiii tăi vor fi ucenici ai Domnului, şi mare va fi propăşirea fiilor tăi.
13All your children shall be taught of Yahweh; and great shall be the peace of your children.
14Vei fi întărită prin neprihănire. Izgoneşte neliniştea, căci n'ai nimic de temut, şi spaima, căci nu se va apropia de tine.
14In righteousness you shall be established: you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not be afraid; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.
15Dacă se urzesc uneltiri, nu vin dela Mine; oricine se va uni împotriva ta va cădea supt puterea ta.``
15Behold, they may gather together, but not by me: whoever shall gather together against you shall fall because of you.
16,,Iată, Eu am făcut pe meşterul, care suflă cărbunii în foc, şi face o armă după meşteşugul lui. Dar tot Eu am făcut şi pe nimicitor ca s'o sfărîme.
16“Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals, and brings forth a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
17Orice armă făurită împotriva ta va fi fără putere; şi pe orice limbă care se va ridica la judecată împotriva ta, o vei osîndi. Aceasta este moştenirea robilor Domnului, aşa este mîntuirea care le vine dela Mine, zice Domnul.``
17No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness which is of me,” says Yahweh.
