¹Domnul a vorbit lui Moise, şi a zis:

¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²,,Porunceşte copiilor lui Israel să-ţi aducă pentru sfeşnic untdelemn curat de măsline tescuite, ca să ţină candelele aprinse neîncetat.

²“Command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.

³Aaron să -l pregătească dincoace de perdeaua dinlăuntru, care este înaintea mărturiei, în cortul întîlnirii, pentruca să ardă neîncetat de seara pînă dimineaţa în faţa Domnului. Aceasta este o lege vecinică pentru urmaşii voştri.

³Outside of the veil of the Testimony, in the Tent of Meeting, shall Aaron keep it in order from evening to morning before Yahweh continually: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.

⁴Să aşeze candelele în sfeşnicul de aur curat, ca să ardă neîncetat înaintea Domnului.

⁴He shall keep in order the lamps on the pure gold lampstand before Yahweh continually.

⁵Să iei floare de făină, şi să faci din ea douăsprezece turte; fiecare turtă să fie făcută din două zecimi de efă.

⁵“You shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it: two tenth parts of an ephah 1 ephah is about 22 litres or about 2/3 of a bushel shall be in one cake.

⁶Să le pui în două şiruri, cîte şase în fiecare şir, pe masa de aur curat, înaintea Domnului.

⁶You shall set them in two rows, six on a row, on the pure gold table before Yahweh.

⁷Peste fiecare şir să pui tămîie curată, care să fie pe pîne ca aducere aminte, ca un dar de mîncare mistuit de foc înaintea Domnului.

⁷You shall put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

⁸În fiecare zi de Sabat să se pună aceste pîni înaintea Domnului, neîncetat: acesta este un legămînt vecinic pe care -l vor ţinea copiii lui Israel.

⁸Every Sabbath day he shall set it in order before Yahweh continually. It is on the behalf of the children of Israel an everlasting covenant.

⁹Pînile acestea să fie ale lui Aaron şi ale fiilor lui, şi să le mănînce într'un loc sfînt; căci ele sînt pentru ei un lucru prea sfînt, o parte din darurile de mîncare mistuite de foc înaintea Domnului. Aceasta este o lege vecinică.``

⁹It shall be for Aaron and his sons; and they shall eat it in a holy place: for it is most holy to him of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire by a perpetual statute.”

¹⁰Fiul unei femei israelite şi al unui bărbat egiptean, venind în mijlocul copiilor lui Israel, s'a certat în tabără cu un bărbat israelit.

¹⁰The son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelite woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp.

¹¹Fiul femeii israelite a hulit şi a blestemat Numele lui Dumnezeu. L-au adus la Moise. Mamă-sa se numea Şelomit, fata lui Dibri, din seminţia lui Dan.

¹¹The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

¹²L-au aruncat în temniţă, pînă va spune Moise ce va porunci Domnul.

¹²They put him in custody, until the will of Yahweh should be declared to them.

¹³Domnul a vorbit lui Moise, şi a zis:

¹³Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹⁴,,Scoate din tabără pe cel ce a hulit; toţi ceice l-au auzit, să-şi pună mînile pe capul lui, şi toată adunarea să -l ucidă cu pietre.

¹⁴“Bring out of the camp him who cursed; and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

¹⁵Să vorbeşti copiilor lui Israel, şi să le spui: ,Oricine va blestema pe Dumnezeul lui, îşi va lua pedeapsa pentru păcatul lui.

¹⁵You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.

¹⁶Cine va blestema Numele Domnului, va fi pedepsit cu moartea: toată adunarea să -l ucidă cu pietre. Fie străin, fie băştinaş, să moară, pentrucă a hulit Numele lui Dumnezeu.

¹⁶He who blasphemes the name of Yahweh, he shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him: the foreigner as well as the native-born, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.

¹⁷Cine va da unui om o lovitură de moarte, să fie pedepsit cu moartea.

¹⁷“‘He who strikes any man mortally shall surely be put to death.

¹⁸Cine va da unui dobitoc o lovitură de moarte, să -l înlocuiască: viaţă pentru viaţă.

¹⁸He who strikes an animal mortally shall make it good, life for life.

¹⁹Dacă cineva răneşte pe aproapele lui, să i se facă aşa cum a făcut şi el:

¹⁹If anyone injures his neighbor; as he has done, so shall it be done to him:

²⁰frîntură pentru frîntură, ochi pentru ochi, dinte pentru dinte; să i se facă aceeaş rană pe care a făcut -o el aproapelui său.

²⁰fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has injured someone, so shall it be done to him.

²¹Cine va ucide un dobitoc, să -l înlocuiască; dar cine va ucide un om, să fie pedepsit cu moartea.

²¹He who kills an animal shall make it good; and he who kills a man shall be put to death.

²²Să aveţi aceeaş lege pentru străin ca şi pentru băştinaş; căci Eu sînt Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru.``

²²You shall have one kind of law, for the foreigner as well as the native-born: for I am Yahweh your God.’”

²³Moise a vorbit copiilor lui Israel; au scos afară din tabără pe cel ce hulise, şi l-au ucis cu pietre. Copiii lui Israel au făcut după porunca pe care o dăduse lui Moise Domnul.

²³Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they brought out him who had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. The children of Israel did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
