¹Curînd după aceea, Isus umbla din cetate în cetate şi din sat în sat şi propovăduia şi vestea Evanghelia Împărăţiei lui Dumnezeu. Cei doisprezece erau cu El;

¹It happened soon afterwards, that he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of the Kingdom of God. With him were the twelve,

²şi mai erau şi nişte femei, cari fuseseră tămăduite de duhuri rele şi de boale; Maria, zisă Magdalina, din care ieşiseră şapte draci,

²and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;

³Ioana, nevasta lui Cuza, ispravnicul lui Irod, Susana, şi multe altele, cari -L ajutau cu ce aveau.

³and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others; who served them TR reads “him” instead of “them” from their possessions.

⁴Cînd s'a strîns o gloată mare, şi a venit la El norod din felurite cetăţi, Isus a spus pilda aceasta:

⁴When a great multitude came together, and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable.

⁵,,Sămănătorul a ieşit să-şi samene sămînţa. Pe cînd sămăna el, o parte din sămînţă a căzut lîngă drum: a fost călcată în picioare, şi au mîncat -o păsările cerului.

⁵ “The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.

⁶O altă parte a căzut pe stîncă; şi, cum a răsărit, s'a uscat, pentrucă n'avea umezeală.

⁶ Other seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.

⁷O altă parte a căzut în mijlocul spinilor: spinii au crescut împreună cu ea şi au înecat -o.

⁷ Other fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it, and choked it.

⁸O altă parte a căzut pe pămînt bun, şi a crescut, şi a făcut rod însutit.`` După ce a spus aceste lucruri, Isus a strigat: ,,Cine are urechi de auzit, să audă.``

⁸ Other fell into the good ground, and grew, and brought forth fruit one hundred times.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

⁹Ucenicii Lui L-au întrebat ce înţeles are pilda aceasta.

⁹Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”

¹⁰El le -a răspuns: ,,Vouă v'a fost dat să cunoaşteţi tainele Împărăţiei lui Dumnezeu, dar celorlalţi li se vorbeşte în pilde, ca ,măcar că văd, să nu vadă, şi măcar că aud, să nu înţeleagă.``

¹⁰He said, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, but to the rest in parables; that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’ Isaiah 6:9

¹¹Iată ce înţeles are pilda aceasta: ,,Sămînţa, este Cuvîntul lui Dumnezeu.

¹¹ Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

¹²Cei închipuiţi în sămînţa căzută lîngă drum, sînt ceice aud; apoi vine diavolul şi ia Cuvîntul din inima lor, ca nu cumva să creadă, şi să fie mîntuiţi.

¹² Those along the road are those who hear, then the devil comes, and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.

¹³Cei închipuiţi în sămînţa căzută pe stîncă, sînt aceia cari, cînd aud Cuvîntul, îl primesc cu bucurie; dar n'au rădăcină, ci cred pînă la o vreme, iar cînd vine ispita, cad.

¹³ Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root, who believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.

¹⁴Sămînţa, care a căzut între spini, închipuieşte pe aceia cari, după ce au auzit Cuvîntul, îşi văd de drum, şi -l lasă să fie înăbuşit de grijile, bogăţiile şi plăcerile vieţii acesteia, şi n'aduc rod care să ajungă la coacere.

¹⁴ That which fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.

¹⁵Sămînţa, care a căzut pe pămînt bun, sînt aceia cari, după ce au auzit Cuvîntul, îl ţin într'o inimă bună şi curată, şi fac roadă în răbdare.

¹⁵ That in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and bring forth fruit with patience.

¹⁶Nimeni, dupăce a aprins o lumină, n'o acopere cu un vas, nici n'o pune supt pat, ci o pune într'un sfeşnic, pentruca ceice intră, să vadă lumina.

¹⁶ “No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container, or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.

¹⁷Fiindcă nu este nimic acoperit, care nu va fi descoperit, nimic tăinuit, care nu va fi cunoscut şi nu va veni la lumină.

¹⁷ For nothing is hidden, that will not be revealed; nor anything secret, that will not be known and come to light.

¹⁸Luaţi seama dar la felul cum ascultaţi; căci celui ce are, i se va da; dar celui ce n'are, i se va lua şi ce i se pare că are.``

¹⁸ Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”

¹⁹Mama şi fraţii lui Isus au venit la El; dar nu puteau să -I vorbească, din pricina norodului.

¹⁹His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.

²⁰Cineva I -a spus: ,,Mamă-Ta şi fraţii Tăi stau afară, şi vor să Te vadă.``

²⁰It was told him by some saying, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.”

²¹Dar El, drept răspuns, a zis: ,,Mama Mea şi fraţii Mei sînt ceice ascultă Cuvîntul lui Dumnezeu, şi -l împlinesc.``

²¹But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God, and do it.”

²²Într'una din zile, Isus S'a suit într'o corabie împreună cu ucenicii Lui. El le -a zis: ,,Haidem să trecem dincolo de lac.`` Şi au plecat.

²²Now it happened on one of those days, that he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.

²³Pe cînd vîsleau ei, Isus a adormit. Pe lac s'a stîrnit un aşa vîrtej de vînt, că se umplea corabia cu apă; şi erau în primejdie.

²³But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.

²⁴Au venit la El, L-au deşteptat, şi au zis: ,,Învăţătorule, Învăţătorule, perim.`` Isus S'a sculat, a certat vîntul şi valurile înfuriate, cari s'au potolit: şi s'a făcut linişte.

²⁴They came to him, and awoke him, saying, “Master, master, we are dying!” He awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and it was calm. See Psalm 107:29

²⁵Apoi a zis ucenicilor Săi: ,,Unde vă este credinţa?`` Plini de spaimă şi de mirare, ei au zis unii către alţii: ,,Cine este acesta de porunceşte chiar şi vînturilor şi apei şi -L ascultă?``

²⁵He said to them, “Where is your faith?” Being afraid they marveled, saying one to another, “Who is this, then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”

²⁶Au venit cu corabia în ţinutul Gherghesenilor, care este în dreptul Galileii.

²⁶They arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.

²⁷Cînd a ieşit Isus la ţărm, L -a întîmpinat un om din cetate, stăpînit de mai mulţi draci. De multă vreme nu se îmbrăca în haină, şi nu-şi avea locuinţa într'o casă, ci în morminte.

²⁷When Jesus stepped ashore, a certain man out of the city who had demons for a long time met him. He wore no clothes, and didn’t live in a house, but in the tombs.

²⁸Cînd a văzut pe Isus, a scos un strigăt ascuţit, a căzut jos înaintea Lui, şi a zis cu glas tare: ,,Ce am eu a face cu Tine, Isuse, Fiul Dumnezeului Celui Prea Înalt? Te rog nu mă chinui.``

²⁸When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”

²⁹Căci Isus poruncise duhului necurat să iasă din omul acela, pe care pusese stăpînire de multă vreme; era păzit legat cu cătuşe la mîni şi cu obezi la picioare, dar rupea legăturile, şi era gonit de dracul prin pustii.

²⁹For Jesus was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard, and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bands apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.

³⁰Isus l -a întrebat: ,,Cum îţi este numele?`` ,,Legiune,`` a răspuns el; pentrucă intraseră mulţi draci în el.

³⁰Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered into him.

³¹Şi dracii rugau stăruitor pe Isus să nu le poruncească să se ducă în Adînc.

³¹They begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss.

³²Acolo pe munte, era o turmă mare de porci, cari păşteau. Şi dracii au rugat pe Isus să le dea voie să intre în ei. El le -a dat voie.

³²Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. He allowed them.

³³Dracii au ieşit din omul acela, au intrat în porci, şi turma s'a repezit de pe rîpă în lac, şi s'a înecat.

³³The demons came out from the man, and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake, and were drowned.

³⁴Porcarii, cînd au văzut ce se întîmplase, au fugit şi au dat de veste în cetate şi prin sate.

³⁴When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled, and told it in the city and in the country.

³⁵Oamenii au ieşit să vadă cele întîmplate. Au venit la Isus, şi au găsit pe omul din care ieşiseră dracii, şezînd la picioarele lui Isus, îmbrăcat, şi în toate minţile; şi i -a apucat frica.

³⁵People went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

³⁶Ceice văzuseră cele petrecute, le-au povestit cum fusese vindecat cel stăpînit de draci.

³⁶Those who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.

³⁷Tot norodul din ţinutul Gherghesenilor a rugat pe Isus să plece dela ei, pentrucă îi apucase o mare frică. Isus S'a suit într'o corabie, şi S'a întors.

³⁷All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. He entered into the boat, and returned.

³⁸Omul din care ieşiseră dracii, Îl ruga să -i dea voie să rămînă cu El. Dar Isus l -a trimes acasă, şi i -a zis:

³⁸But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,

³⁹,,Întoarce-te acasă, şi povesteşte tot ce ţi -a făcut Dumnezeu.`` El a plecat, şi a vestit prin toată cetatea tot ce -i făcuse Isus.

³⁹ “Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.

⁴⁰La întoarcere, Isus a fost primit cu bucurie de mulţime, căci toţi Îl aşteptau.

⁴⁰It happened, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.

⁴¹Şi iată că a venit un om, numit Iair, care era fruntaş al sinagogii. El s'a aruncat la picioarele lui Isus, şi L -a rugat să vină pînă la el acasă;

⁴¹Behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet, and begged him to come into his house,

⁴²pentrucă avea o singură copilă de vreo doisprezece ani, care trăgea să moară. Pe drum, Isus era îmbulzit de noroade.

⁴²for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the multitudes pressed against him.

⁴³Şi era o femeie, care de doisprezece ani avea o scurgere de sînge; ea îşi cheltuise toată averea cu doftorii, fără s'o fi putut vindeca vreunul.

⁴³A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her living on physicians, and could not be healed by any,

⁴⁴Ea s'a apropiat pe dinapoi, şi s'a atins de poala hainei lui Isus. Indată, scurgerea de sînge s'a oprit.

⁴⁴came behind him, and touched the fringe or, tassel of his cloak, and immediately the flow of her blood stopped.

⁴⁵Şi Isus a zis: ,,Cine s'a atins de Mine?`` Fiindcă toţi tăgăduiau, Petru şi ceice erau cu El, au zis: ,,Învăţătorule, noroadele Te împresoară şi Te îmbulzesc, şi mai întrebi: ,Cine s'a atins de Mine?``

⁴⁵Jesus said, “Who touched me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes press and jostle you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’ ”

⁴⁶Dar Isus a răspuns: ,,S'a atins cineva de Mine, căci am simţit că a ieşit din Mine o putere.``

⁴⁶But Jesus said, “Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me.”

⁴⁷Femeia, cînd s'a văzut dată de gol, a venit tremurînd, s'a aruncat jos înaintea Lui, şi a spus în faţa întregului norod, din ce pricină se atinsese de El, şi cum fusese vindecată numai decît.

⁴⁷When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

⁴⁸Isus i -a zis: ,,Îndrăzneşte, fiică; credinţa ta te -a mîntuit, du-te în pace.``

⁴⁸He said to her, “Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

⁴⁹Pe cînd vorbea El încă, vine unul din casa fruntaşului sinagogii, şi -i spune: ,,Fiica ta a murit, nu mai supăra pe Învăţătorul.``

⁴⁹While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house came, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the Teacher.”

⁵⁰Dar Isus, cînd a auzit lucrul acesta, a zis fruntaşului sinagogii: ,,Nu te teme; crede numai, şi va fi tămăduită.``

⁵⁰But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”

⁵¹Cînd a ajuns la casa fruntaşului, n'a lăsat pe nici unul să intre împreună cu El, decît pe Petru, pe Iacov, pe Ioan, pe tatăl şi mama fetei.

⁵¹When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.

⁵²Toţi plîngeau şi o boceau. Atunci Isus a zis: ,,Nu plîngeţi; fetiţa n'a murit, ci doarme.``

⁵²All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, “Don’t weep. She isn’t dead, but sleeping.”

⁵³Ei îşi băteau joc de El, căci ştiau că murise.

⁵³They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.

⁵⁴Dar El, dupăce i -a scos pe toţi afară, a apucat -o de mînă, şi a strigat cu glas tare: ,,Fetiţo, scoală-te!``

⁵⁴But he put them all outside, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, “Child, arise!”

⁵⁵Şi duhul ei s'a întors în ea, iar fata s'a sculat numaidecît. Isus a poruncit să -i dea să mănînce.

⁵⁵Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.

⁵⁶Părinţii ei au rămas uimiţi. Isus le -a poruncit să nu spună numănui cele întîmplate.

⁵⁶Her parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.
