¹Isus S'a suit într'o corabie, a trecut marea, şi a venit în cetatea Sa.

¹He entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.

²Şi iată că I-au adus un slăbănog, care zăcea într'un pat. Isus le -a văzut credinţa, şi a zis slăbănogului: ,,Îndrăzneşte, fiule! Păcatele îţi sînt iertate!``

²Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you.”

³Şi iată că, unii din cărturari au zis în ei înşişi: ,,Omul acesta huleşte!``

³Behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man blasphemes.”

⁴Isus, care le cunoştea gîndurile, a zis: ,,Pentruce aveţi gînduri rele în inimile voastre?``

⁴Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?

⁵Căci ce este mai lesne? A zice: ,,Iertate îţi sînt păcatele``, sau a zice: ,,Scoală-te şi umblă?``

⁵ For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk?’

⁶Dar, ca să ştiţi că Fiul omului are putere pe pămînt să ierte păcatele, -,,Scoală-te``, a zis El slăbănogului, ,,ridică-ţi patul, şi du-te acasă.``

⁶ But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” (then he said to the paralytic), “Get up, and take up your mat, and go up to your house.”

⁷Slăbănogul s'a sculat, şi s'a dus acasă.

⁷He arose and departed to his house.

⁸Cînd au văzut noroadele lucrul acesta, s'au spăimîntat, şi au slăvit pe Dumnezeu, care a dat oamenilor o astfel de putere.

⁸But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

⁹De acolo, Isus a mers mai departe, şi a văzut pe un om, numit Matei, şezînd la vamă. Şi i -a zis: ,,Vino după Mine``. Omul acela s'a sculat, şi a mers după El.

⁹As Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, “Follow me.” He got up and followed him.

¹⁰Pe cînd şedea Isus la masă, în casă, iată că au venit o mulţime de vameşi şi păcătoşi, şi au şezut la masă cu El şi cu ucenicii Lui.

¹⁰It happened as he sat in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.

¹¹Fariseii au văzut lucrul acesta, şi au zis ucenicilor Lui: ,,Pentruce mănîncă Învăţătorul vostru cu vameşii şi cu păcătoşii?``

¹¹When the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

¹²Isus i -a auzit, şi le -a zis: ,,Nu cei sănătoşi au trebuinţă de doftor, ci cei bolnavi.

¹²When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.

¹³Duceţi-vă de învăţaţi ce înseamnă: ,Milă voiesc, iar nu jertfă!` Căci n'am venit să chem la pocăinţă pe cei neprihăniţi, ci pe cei păcătoşi.``

¹³ But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ Hosea 6:6 for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. NU omits “to repentance”. ”

¹⁴Atunci ucenicii lui Ioan au venit la Isus, şi I-au zis: ,,De ce noi şi Fariseii postim des, iar ucenicii Tăi nu postesc de loc?``

¹⁴Then John’s disciples came to him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don’t fast?”

¹⁵Isus le -a răspuns: ,,Se pot jăli nuntaşii cîtă vreme este mirele cu ei? Vor veni zile, cînd mirele va fi luat dela ei, şi atunci vor posti.

¹⁵Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

¹⁶Nimeni nu pune un petec de postav nou la o haină veche; pentrucă şi-ar lua umplutura din haină, şi ruptura ar fi mai rea.

¹⁶ No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.

¹⁷Nici nu pun oamenii vin nou în burdufuri vechi; altfel, burdufurile plesnesc, vinul se varsă, şi burdufurile se prăpădesc; ci vinul nou îl pun în burdufuri noi, şi se păstrează amîndouă.``

¹⁷ Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”

¹⁸Pe cînd le spunea Isus aceste vorbe, iată că a venit unul din fruntaşii sinagogii, I s'a închinat, şi I -a zis: ,,Fiica mea adineaori a murit; dar vino de pune-Ţi mînile peste ea, şi va învia.``

¹⁸While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”

¹⁹Isus S'a sculat, şi a plecat după el împreună cu ucenicii Lui.

¹⁹Jesus got up and followed him, as did his disciples.

²⁰Şi iată o femeie, care de doisprezece ani avea o scurgere de sînge, a venit pe dinapoi, şi s'a atins de poala hainei Lui.

²⁰Behold, a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe or, tassel of his garment;

²¹Căci îşi zicea ea: ,,Numai să mă pot atinge de haina Lui, şi mă voi tămădui.``

²¹for she said within herself, “If I just touch his garment, I will be made well.”

²²Isus S'a întors, a văzut -o, şi i -a zis: ,,Îndrăzneşte, fiică! Credinţa ta te -a tămăduit.`` Şi s'a tămăduit femeia chiar în ceasul acela.

²²But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, “Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.

²³Cînd a ajuns Isus în casa fruntaşului sinagogii, şi cînd a văzut pe ceice cîntau din fluier, şi gloata bocind,

²³When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd in noisy disorder,

²⁴le -a zis: ,,Daţi-vă la o parte; căci fetiţa n'a murit, ci doarme!`` Ei îşi băteau joc de El.

²⁴he said to them, “Make room, because the girl isn’t dead, but sleeping.” They were ridiculing him.

²⁵Dar, dupăce a fost scoasă gloata afară, Isus a intrat înlăuntru, a luat pe fetiţă de mînă, şi fetiţa s -a sculat.

²⁵But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

²⁶Şi s'a dus vestea despre această minune în tot ţinutul acela.

²⁶The report of this went out into all that land.

²⁷Cînd a plecat de acolo, s'au luat după Isus doi orbi, cari strigau şi ziceau: ,,Ai milă de noi, Fiul lui David!``

²⁷As Jesus passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, “Have mercy on us, son of David!”

²⁸După ce a intrat în casă, orbii au venit la El. Şi Isus le -a zis: ,,Credeţi că pot face lucrul acesta?`` ,,Da, Doamne``, I-au răspuns ei.

²⁸When he had come into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They told him, “Yes, Lord.”

²⁹Atunci S'a atins de ochii lor, şi a zis: ,,Facă-vi-se după credinţa voastră!``

²⁹Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.”

³⁰Şi li s'au deschis ochii. Isus le -a poruncit cu tot dinadinsul şi le -a zis: ,,Vedeţi, să nu ştie nimeni.``

³⁰Their eyes were opened. Jesus strictly commanded them, saying, “See that no one knows about this.”

³¹Dar ei, cum au ieşit afară, au răspîndit vestea despre El în tot ţinutul acela.

³¹But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.

³²Pe cînd plecau orbii aceştia, iată că au adus la Isus un mut îndrăcit.

³²As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.

³³După ce a fost scos dracul din el, mutul a vorbit. Şi noroadele, mirate, ziceau: ,,Niciodată nu s'a văzut aşa ceva în Israel!``

³³When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”

³⁴Dar Fariseii ziceau: ,,Cu ajutorul domnului dracilor scoate El dracii!``

³⁴But the Pharisees said, “By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons.”

³⁵Isus străbătea toate cetăţile şi satele, învăţînd pe norod în sinagogi, propovăduind Evanghelia Împărăţiei, şi vindecînd orice fel de boală şi orice fel de neputinţă, care era în norod.

³⁵Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

³⁶Cînd a văzut gloatele, I s'a făcut milă de ele, pentru că erau necăjite şi risipite, ca nişte oi cari n'au păstor.

³⁶But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed TR reads “weary” instead of “harassed” and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.

³⁷Atunci a zis ucenicilor Săi: ,,Mare este secerişul, dar puţini sînt lucrătorii!

³⁷Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

³⁸Rugaţi dar pe Domnul secerişului să scoată lucrători la secerişul Lui.``

³⁸ Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest.”
