¹Am ridicat din nou ochii şi m'am uitat, şi iată că patru cară ieşeau dintre doi munţi; şi munţii erau de aramă.

¹Again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.

²La carul dintîi erau nişte cai roşi, la al doilea car cai negri,

²In the first chariot were red horses; in the second chariot black horses;

³la al treilea car cai albi, şi la al patrulea car cai bălţaţi şi roşi.

³in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot dappled horses, all of them powerful.

⁴Am luat cuvîntul, şi am zis îngerului, care vorbea cu mine: ,,Ce înseamnă aceştia, domnul meu?``

⁴Then I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”

⁵Îngerul mi -a răspuns: ,,Aceştia sînt cele patru vînturi ale cerurilor, cari ies din locul în care stăteau înaintea Domnului întregului pămînt.``

⁵The angel answered me, “These are the four winds of the sky, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

⁶Caii cei negri, înhămaţi la unul din cară, s'au îndreptat spre ţara dela miază-noapte, şi cei albi au mers după ei; cei bălţaţi s'au îndreptat spre ţara de miază-zi.

⁶The one with the black horses goes out toward the north country; and the white went out after them; and the dappled went forth toward the south country.”

⁷Cei roşi au ieşit şi ei şi au cerut să meargă să cutreiere pămîntul. Îngerul le -a zis: ,,Duceţi-vă de cutreieraţi pămîntul!`` Şi au cutreierat pămîntul.

⁷The strong went out, and sought to go that they might walk back and forth through the earth: and he said, “Go around and through the earth!” So they walked back and forth through the earth.

⁸El m'a chemat, şi mi -a zis: ,,Iată că cei ce se îndreaptă spre ţara de miază-noapte fac să se mai potolească mînia Mea în ţara dela miază-noapte.``

⁸Then he called to me, and spoke to me, saying, “Behold, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.”

⁹Cuvîntul Domnului mi -a vorbit astfel:

⁹The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

¹⁰,,Să primeşti daruri dela prinşii de război din Babilon: Heldai, Tobia, şi Iedaia, -şi anume să te duci tu însuţi în ziua aceea în casa lui Iosia, fiul lui Ţefania, unde s'au dus ei cînd au venit din Babilon.

¹⁰“Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah; and come the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, where they have come from Babylon.

¹¹Să iei dela ei argint şi aur, şi să faci din el o cunună, şi s'o pui pe capul lui Iosua, fiul lui Ioţadac, marele preot.

¹¹Yes, take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;

¹²Şi să -i spui: ,,Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: ,,Iată că un om, al cărui nume este Odrasla, va odrăsli din locul lui, şi va zidi Templul Domnului.

¹²and speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says Yahweh of Armies, “Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: and he shall grow up out of his place; and he shall build Yahweh’s temple;

¹³Da, El va zidi Templul Domnului, va purta podoabă împărătească, va şedea şi va stăpîni pe scaunul Lui de domnie, va fi preot pe scaunul Lui de domnie, şi o desăvîrşită unire va domni între ei amîndoi.``

¹³even he shall build Yahweh’s temple; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on his throne; and he shall be a priest on his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

¹⁴Cununa va fi pentru Helem, Tobia şi Iedaia, şi pentru Hen, fiul lui Ţefania, ca o aducere aminte în Templul Domnului.

¹⁴The crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in Yahweh’s temple.

¹⁵Ceice sînt departe vor veni şi vor lucra la Templul Domnului; şi veţi şti astfel că Domnul oştirilor m'a trimes la voi. Lucrul acesta se va întîmpla, dacă veţi asculta glasul Domnului, Dumnezeului vostru.``

¹⁵Those who are far off shall come and build in Yahweh’s temple; and you shall know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen, if you will diligently obey the voice of Yahweh your God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” .”’”
