¹V tom čase mi riekol Hospodin: Uteš si dve kamenné dosky, jaké boly tie prvé, a vyjdi ku mne sem na vrch a spravíš si truhlu z dreva.

¹`At that time hath Jehovah said unto me, Grave for thee two tables of stone, like the first, and come up unto Me, into the mount, and thou hast made for thee an ark of wood,

²Napíšem na dosky slová, ktoré boly na tamtých prvých doskách, ktoré si rozbil, a vložíš ich do truhly.

²and I write on the tables the words which were on the first tables, which thou hast broken, and thou hast placed them in the ark;

³A tak som spravil truhlu zo šittímového dreva a utesal som dve kamenné dosky, jaké boly tie prvé, a vyšiel som na vrch a dve dosky som niesol vo svojej ruke.

³and I make an ark of shittim wood, and grave two tables of stone like the first, and go up to the mount, and the two tables in my hand.

⁴A napísal na dosky, jako bolo tamto prvé písmo, desať slov, ktoré vám hovoril Hospodin na vrchu zprostred ohňa v deň shromaždenia, a Hospodin ich dal zase mne.

⁴`And He writeth on the tables, according to the first writing, the Ten Matters, which Jehovah hath spoken unto you in the mount, out of the midst of the fire, in the day of the assembly, and Jehovah giveth them unto me,

⁵Potom som sa obrátil a sišiel som s vrchu a vložil som dosky do truhly, ktorú som spravil, a sú tam, tak ako mi prikázal Hospodin.

⁵and I turn and come down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made, and they are there, as Jehovah commanded me.

⁶A synovia Izraelovi sa rušali z Beerót-bené-jaakána do Mósera. Tam zomrel Áron a tam je i pochovaný, a kňazský úrad konal Eleazár, jeho syn, miesto neho.

⁶`And the sons of Israel have journeyed from Beeroth of the sons of Jaakan to Mosera, there Aaron died, and he is buried there, and Eleazar his son doth act as priest in his stead;

⁷Odtiaľ sa rušali do Gudgody a z Gudgody do Jotbaty, do zeme potokov vody.

⁷thence they journeyed to Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.

⁸Toho času oddelil Hospodin pokolenie Léviho, aby nosili truhlu smluvy Hospodinovej, a aby stáli pred Hospodinom, aby mu slúžili a aby dávali požehnanie v jeho mene, jako je tomu až do dnešného dňa.

⁸`At that time hath Jehovah separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, to stand before Jehovah, to serve Him, and to bless in His name, unto this day,

⁹Preto nemá Lévi podielu a dedičstva so svojimi bratmi. Hospodin je jeho dedičstvom, tak ako mu hovoril Hospodin, tvoj Bôh.

⁹therefore there hath not been to Levi a portion and inheritance with his brethren; Jehovah Himself [is] his inheritance, as Jehovah thy God hath spoken to him.

¹⁰A ja som stál na vrchu jako v tamtie prvé dni, štyridsať dní a štyridsať nocí. A Hospodin ma vyslyšal i ten raz; nechcel ťa už potom Hospodin zkaziť.

¹⁰`And I — I have stood in the mount, as the former days, forty days and forty nights, and Jehovah hearkeneth unto me also at that time; Jehovah hath not willed to destroy thee.

¹¹A Hospodin mi riekol: Vstaň, iď, aby si išiel pred ľudom, aby vošli a zaujali do dedičstva zem, ktorú som prisahal ich otcom, že im ju dám.

¹¹`And Jehovah saith unto me, Rise, go to journey before the people, and they go in and possess the land which I have sworn to their fathers to give to them.

¹²A tak teraz, Izraelu, čože žiada Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, od teba krome toho, aby si sa bál Hospodina, svojho Boha, aby si chodil po všetkých jeho cestách, aby si ho miloval a aby si slúžil Hospodinovi, svojmu Bohu, celým svojím srdcom a celou svojou dušou,

¹²`And now, Israel, what is Jehovah thy God asking from thee, except to fear Jehovah thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,

¹³aby si ostríhal prikázania Hospodinove a jeho ustanovenia, ktoré ti ja dnes prikazujem na tvoje dobré.

¹³to keep the commands of Jehovah, and His statutes which I am commanding thee to-day, for good to thee?

¹⁴Hľa, Hospodinove, tvojho Bohove, sú nebesia i nebesia nebies, zem i všetko, čo je na nej.

¹⁴`Lo, to Jehovah thy God [are] the heavens and the heavens of the heavens, the earth and all that [is] in it;

¹⁵A predsa len k tvojim otcom priľnul Hospodin milujúc ich a vyvolil si ich semeno po nich, vás, zo všetkých národov, ako je tomu dnes.

¹⁵only in thy fathers hath Jehovah delighted — to love them, and He doth fix on their seed after them — on you, out of all the peoples as [at] this day;

¹⁶A preto obrežete neobrezanosť svojho srdca a nezatvrdzujte viacej svojej šije!

¹⁶and ye have circumcised the foreskin of your heart, and your neck ye do not harden any more;

¹⁷Lebo Hospodin, váš Bôh, je Bohom bohov a Pánom pánov, silný Bôh veľký, premocný a strašný, ktorý nehľadí na osobu človeka ani nevezme úplatného daru,

¹⁷for Jehovah your God — He [is] God of the gods, and Lord of the lords; God, the great, the mighty, and the fearful; who accepteth not persons, nor taketh a bribe;

¹⁸ktorý činí súd siroty a vdovy a miluje pohostína dávajúc mu chlieb a odev.

¹⁸He is doing the judgment of fatherless and widow, and loving the sojourner, to give to him bread and raiment.

¹⁹Preto budete aj vy milovať pohostína, lebo ste boli pohostínmi v Egyptskej zemi.

¹⁹`And ye have loved the sojourner, for sojourners ye were in the land of Egypt.

²⁰Hospodina, svojho Boha, sa budeš báť, jemu budeš slúžiť a jeho sa budeš láskou pridŕžať a na jeho meno budeš prisahať.

²⁰`Jehovah thy God thou dost fear, Him thou dost serve, and to Him thou dost cleave, and by His name thou dost swear.

²¹On je tvojou chlúbou a on tvojím Bohom, ktorý učinil s tebou tie veľké a strašné veci, ktoré videly tvoje oči.

²¹He [is] thy praise, and He [is] thy God, who hath done with thee these great and fearful [things] which thine eyes have seen:

²²V počte sedemdesiat duší odišli tvoji otcovia dolu do Egypta, a teraz ťa rozmnožil Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, že ťa je ako hviezd na nebesiach čo do množstva.

²²with seventy persons did thy fathers go down to Egypt, and now hath Jehovah thy God made thee as stars of the heavens for multitude.
