1A stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:
1And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, `And thou, son of man, Thus said the Lord Jehovah to the ground of Israel:
2A ty, synu človeka, takto hovorí Pán Hospodin zemi Izraelovej: Koniec. Koniec prišiel na štyri strany zeme.
2An end, come hath the end on the four corners of the land.
3Teraz už koniec na teba, a vypustím na teba svoj hnev a budem ťa súdiť podľa tvojich ciest a uvrhnem na teba všetky tvoje ohavnosti.
3Now [is] the end unto thee, And I have sent Mine anger upon thee, And judged thee according to thy ways, And set against thee all thine abominations.
4A moje oko sa nezľutuje nad tebou, ani nebudem šetriť; ale uvrhnem tvoje cesty na teba, a tvoje ohavnosti budú v tvojom strede, a zviete, že ja som Hospodin.
4And no pity on thee hath Mine eye, nor do I spare, For thy ways against thee I do set, And thine abominations are in thy midst, And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah.
5Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Zlo, jedno zlo, hľa, prichádza.
5Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Evil, a single evil, lo, it hath come.
6Koniec prichádza, prichádza koniec; zobudil sa proti tebe; hľa, prichádza to.
6An end hath come, come hath the end, It hath waked for thee, lo, it hath come.
7Prichádza na teba tvoj osud, obyvateľu zeme; prichádza čas, už je blízko deň, totiž deň hrmotu a nie radostného výskotu po vrchoch.
7Come hath the morning unto thee, O inhabitant of the land! Come hath the time, near [is] a day of trouble, And not the shouting of mountains.
8Teraz už skoro vylejem na teba svoju prchlivosť a dokonám proti tebe svoj hnev, budem ťa súdiť podľa tvojich ciest a uvrhnem na teba všetky tvoje ohavnosti,
8Now, shortly I pour out My fury on thee, And have completed Mine anger against thee, And judged thee according to thy ways, And set against thee all thine abominations.
9a moje oko sa nezľutuje, ani nebudem šetriť, naložím na teba podľa tvojich ciest, a tvoje ohavnosti budú v tvojom strede, a zviete, že ja Hospodin bijem.
9And not pity doth Mine eye, nor do I spare, According to thy ways unto thee I give, And thine abominations are in thy midst, And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah the smiter.
10Hľa, ten deň, hľa, prichádza; vyšiel osud; pučí palica; kvitne spupná pýcha.
10Lo, the day, lo, it hath come, Gone forth hath the morning, Blossomed hath the rod, flourished the pride.
11Ukrutnosť sa dvíha rastúc v palicu bezbožnosti. No, nezostane ničoho z nich, ničoho z ich množstva, ničoho z ich hukotu, ani nebude náreku nad nimi.
11The violence hath risen to a rod of wickedness, There is none of them, nor of their multitude, Nor of their noise, nor is there wailing for them.
12Prichádza čas, už sa priblížil deň! Ten, kto kupuje, nech sa neraduje, a kto predáva, nech nesmúti, lebo páľa hnevu ide na všetko jej množstvo, množstvo zeme Izraelovej.
12Come hath the time, arrived hath the day, The buyer doth not rejoice, And the seller doth not become a mourner, For wrath [is] unto all its multitude.
13Lebo ten, kto predal, nevráti sa už k predanému, hoci by ešte bol ich život medzi živými; lebo videnie, ktoré sa vzťahuje na všetko jej množstvo, sa nevráti a nikto sa neposilní svojou neprávosťou, čo do svojho života.
13For the seller to the sold thing turneth not, And yet among the living [is] their life, For the vision [is] unto all its multitude, It doth not turn back, And none by his iniquity doth strengthen his life.
14Budú trúbiť na trúbu a pripravia všetko, ale nebude toho, kto by išiel do boja, pretože páľa môjho hnevu sa vrhne na všetko jej množstvo.
14They have blown with a trumpet to prepare the whole, And none is going to battle, For My wrath [is] unto all its multitude.
15Meč bude hubiť vonku, vnútri mor a hlad; ten, kto bude na poli, zomrie mečom, a kto bude v meste, toho strávi hlad a mor.
15The sword [is] without, And the pestilence and the famine within, He who is in a field by sword dieth, And he who is in a city, Famine and pestilence devour him.
16A jestli aj niektorí z nich uniknú útekom, budú na vrchoch, všetci budú úpieť ako holubi údolí, každý pre svoju neprávosť.
16And escaped away have their fugitives, And they have been on the mountains As doves of the valleys, All of them make a noising — each for his iniquity.
17Všetky ruky sklesnú, a všetky kolená sa rozplynú jako voda.
17All the hands are feeble, and all knees go — waters.
18A opášu si vrecia, a hrôza ich pokryje, na každej tvári bude stud, a na všetkých ich hlavách bude plešina.
18And they have girded on sackcloth, And covered them hath trembling, And unto all faces [is] shame, And on all their heads — baldness.
19Svoje striebro pohádžu na ulice, a ich zlato bude považované za nečistotu; ich striebro a ich zlato ich nebude môcť vytrhnúť v deň zúrivého hnevu Hospodinovho; nenasýtia svojej duše ani nenaplnia svojich vnútorností, pretože to bolo závadou ich neprávosti klesnúť.
19Their silver into out-places they cast, And their gold impurity becometh. Their silver and their gold is not able to deliver them, In a day of the wrath of Jehovah, Their soul they do not satisfy, And their bowels they do not fill, For the stumbling-block of their iniquity it hath been.
20A čo do jeho krásnej ozdoby, ktorú bol učinil pýchou, narobili v nej obrazov svojich ohavností a svojich mrzkostí. Preto som im ju obrátil v nečistotu.
20As to the beauty of his ornament, For excellency He set it, And the images of their abominations, Their detestable things — they made in it, Therefore I have given it to them for impurity,
21A dám ju do ruky cudzozemcov za lúpež a bezbožníkom zeme za korisť, a poškvrnia ju.
21And I have given it into the hand of the strangers for a prey, And to the wicked of the land for a spoil, And they have polluted it.
22A odvrátim svoju tvár od nich, a nepriatelia poškvrnia môj skrytý poklad, a prijdú naň ukrutníci a poškvrnia ho.
22And I have turned My face from them, And they have polluted My hidden place, Yea, come into it have destroyers, and polluted it.
23Sprav reťaz, lebo zem je plná krvavého súdu, a mesto je plné ukrutnosti.
23Make the chain; for the land Hath been full of bloody judgments, And the city hath been full of violence.
24Preto dovediem najhorších z pohanov, a budú dedične vládnuť ich domami, a učiním prietrž pýche mocných, a budú poškvrnení tí, ktorí ich posväcujú.
24And I have brought in the wicked of the nations, And they have possessed their houses, And I have caused to cease the excellency of the strong, And polluted have been those sanctifying them.
25Záhuba ide, a budú hľadať pokoj, ale ho nebude.
25Destruction hath come, And they have sought peace, and there is none.
26Zkaza na zkazu prijde, a novina bude za novinou; budú hľadať videnie od proroka, ale zákon zahynie od kňaza a rada od starcov.
26Mischief on mischief cometh, and report is on report, And they have sought a vision from a prophet, And law doth perish from the priest, And counsel from the elders,
27Kráľ bude žalostiť, a knieža si oblečie spustošenie, a ruky ľudu zeme budú predesené. Učiním im podľa ich cesty a budem ich súdiť ich súdmi, a zvedia, že ja som Hospodin.
27The king doth become a mourner, And a prince putteth on desolation, And the hands of the people of the land are troubled, From their own way I deal with them, And with their own judgments I judge them, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah!`
