1Videnie Izaiáša, syna Ámosovho, ktoré videl o Júdovi a o Jeruzaleme za dní Uziáša, Jotama, Achaza a Ezechiáša, judských kráľov.
1The Visions of Isaiah son of Amoz, that he hath seen concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
2Počujte, nebesia, pozoruj ušima, zem, lebo Hospodin hovorí: Synov som vychoval a vyvýšil, ale oni zradne odpadli odo mňa.
2Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth, For Jehovah hath spoken: Sons I have nourished and brought up, And they — they transgressed against Me.
3Vôl zná svojho hospodára a osol jasle svojho pána; Izrael nezná, môj ľud nesrozumieva.
3An ox hath known its owner, And an ass the crib of its master, Israel hath not known, My people hath not understood.
4Beda hriešnemu národu, ľudu, obťaženému neprávosťou, semenu zlostníkov, porušeným synom! Opustili Hospodina, rúhali sa Svätému Izraelovmu, odvrátili sa zpät.
4Ah, sinning nation, a people heavy [with] iniquity, A seed of evil doers, sons — corrupters! They have forsaken Jehovah, They have despised the Holy One of Israel, They have gone away backward.
5Načo aj máte byť ešte bití, keď sa len zase a vše viac odvraciate?! Celá hlava je nemocná, a celé srdce neduživé.
5Wherefore are ye stricken any more? Ye do add apostacy! Every head is become diseased, and every heart [is] sick.
6Od spodku nohy až po vrch hlavy neni na ňom celého miesta zdravého; všetko je samá rana, modrina a hnisavá rana otvorená; rany neboly vytlačené ani obviazané ani na úľavu obmäkčené olejom.
6From the sole of the foot — unto the head, There is no soundness in it, Wound, and bruise, and fresh smiting! They have not been closed nor bound, Nor have they softened with ointment.
7Vaša zem leží púšťou, vaše mestá sú vypálené ohňom, a vaša pôda, cudzinci ju zožierajú pred vami, a je púšťou, jako podvrátená od cudzincov,
7Your land [is] a desolation, your cities burnt with fire, Your ground, before you strangers are consuming it, And a desolation as overthrown by strangers!
8kým dcéra Siona pozostala jako búdka vo vinici a jako nočný úchylok na uhorkovom poli, jako obľahnuté mesto.
8And left hath been the daughter of Zion, As a booth in a vineyard, As a lodge in a place of cucumbers — as a city besieged.
9Keby nám Hospodin Zástupov nebol zanechal niečo málo pozostatku, boli by sme jako Sodoma, Gomore by sme boli podobní.
9Unless Jehovah of Hosts had left to us a remnant, Shortly — as Sodom we had been, To Gomorrah we had been like!
10Počujte slovo Hospodinovo, vy, kniežatá Sodomy; pozorujte ušima zákon našeho Boha, vy, ľude Gomory!
10Hear the word of Jehovah, ye rulers of Sodom, Give ear to the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah,
11Načože mi je to množstvo vašich bitných obetí? hovorí Hospodin. Nasýtil som sa zápalných obetí baranov i tuku vykŕmeného dobytka, a krvi juncov, oviec a kôz nie som žiadostivý.
11`Why to Me the abundance of your sacrifices? saith Jehovah, I have been satiated [with] burnt-offerings of rams, And fat of fatlings; And blood of bullocks, and lambs, And he-goats I have not desired.
12Keď prichádzate, aby ste sa ukázali pred mojou tvárou, ktože to kedy vyhľadával z vašej ruky, aby ste šliapali moje nádvoria?
12When ye come in to appear before Me, Who hath required this of your hand, To trample My courts?
13Nedonášajte viacej obilných darov klamných: kadivo mi je ohavnosťou; čo do novmesiaca soboty a svolávania shromaždenia, nemôžem zniesť neprávosti ani sviatočného davu bezbožného.
13Add not to bring in a vain present, Incense — an abomination it [is] to Me, New moon, and sabbath, calling of convocation! Rendure not iniquity — and a restraint!
14Vaše novmesiace a vaše výročité slávnosti nenávidí moja duša; staly sa mi bremenom; ustal som od nesenia.
14Your new moons and your set seasons hath My soul hated, They have been upon me for a burden, I have been weary of bearing.
15Preto keď rozprestierate svoje ruky, zakrývam svoje oči pred vami, ba i keď množíte modlitbu, nečujem; vaše ruky sú plné krvi.
15And in your spreading forth your hands, I hide mine eyes from you, Also when ye increase prayer, I do not hear, Your hands of blood have been full.
16Umyte sa, očistite sa, odstráňte zlosť svojich skutkov zpred mojich očí, prestaňte zle robiť!
16Wash ye, make ye pure, Turn aside the evil of your doings, from before Mine eyes, Cease to do evil, learn to do good.
17Učte sa dobre robiť, hľadajte súd, dopomáhajte utlačenému k právu, súďte súd siroty, zastaňte sa práva vdovy.
17Seek judgment, make happy the oppressed, Judge the fatherless, strive [for] the widow.
18Nože poďte a pravoťme sa potom! hovorí Hospodin: Keby boly vaše hriechy jako šarlát, budú biele jako sneh; keby boly červené jako červec, dvakrát farbený, budú jako vlna.
18Come, I pray you, and we reason, saith Jehovah, If your sins are as scarlet, as snow they shall be white, If they are red as crimson, as wool they shall be!
19Ak budete chcieť a budete poslúchať, budete jesť dobré veci zeme.
19If ye are willing, and have hearkened, The good of the land ye consume,
20Ale jestli sa budete vzpečovať a postavíte sa na odpor, budete požraní od meča, lebo ústa Hospodinove hovorily.
20And if ye refuse, and have rebelled, [By] the sword ye are consumed, For the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken.
21Oj, ako sa stalo smilnicou mesto, kedysi verné! Bolo plné súdu; spravedlivosť prebývala v ňom, a teraz v ňom bývajú vrahovia!
21How hath a faithful city become a harlot? I have filled it [with] judgment, Righteousness lodgeth in it — now murderers.
22Tvoje striebro sa obrátilo na trosky; tvoje víno je pomiešané s vodou;
22Thy silver hath become dross, Thy drink polluted with water.
23tvoje kniežatá sú spurní odpadlíci, spoločníci zlodejov; všetci, koľko ich je, milujú úplatný dar a ženú sa za odplatou; siroty nesúdia podľa spravedlivosti, a pravota vdovy neprijde pred nich.
23Thy princes [are] apostates, and companions of thieves, Every one loving a bribe, and pursuing rewards, The fatherless they judge not, And the plea of the widow cometh not to them.
24Preto hovorí Panovník Hospodin Zástupov, Mocný Izraelov: Oj, poteším sa nad svojimi protivníkmi a pomstím sa na svojich nepriateľoch!
24Therefore — the affirmation of the Lord — Jehovah of Hosts, the Mighty One of Israel: Ah, I am eased of Mine adversaries, And I am avenged of Mine enemies,
25A obrátim svoju ruku na teba a očistím ťa spáliac tvoje trosky jako žieravina a odstránim všetko tvoje olovo.
25And I turn back My hand upon thee, And I refine as purity thy dross, And I turn aside all thy tin,
26A navrátim ti tvojich sudcov, ktorí budú jako tí tam prv, a tvojich radcov, ako na počiatku, a potom sa budeš volať mestom spravedlivosti, verným mestom.
26And I give back thy judges as at the first, And thy counsellors as in the beginning, After this thou art called, `A city of righteousness — a faithful city.`
27Sion bude vykúpený súdom a jeho navrátivší sa spravedlivosťou.
27Zion in judgment is redeemed, And her captivity in righteousness.
28Ale skrúšenie odpadlíkov a hriešnikov prijde spolu, a tí, ktorí opúšťajú Hospodina, zahynú.
28And the destruction of transgressors and sinners [is] together, And those forsaking Jehovah are consumed.
29Lebo sa budú hanbiť pre modlárske duby, po ktorých ste túžili, a budete rumenieť od studu pre zahrady, ktoré ste si zvolili,
29For [men] are ashamed because of the oaks That ye have desired, And ye are confounded because of the gardens That ye have chosen.
30pretože budete jako dub, ktorého lístie vädne, a jako zahrada, ktorá nemá vody.
30For ye are as an oak whose leaf is fading, And as a garden that hath no water.
31A bude najsilnejší pazderím a jeho dielo iskrou, a oboje to bude horieť spolu, ani nebude nikoho, kto by zahasil.
31And the strong hath been for tow, And his work for a spark, And burned have both of them together, And there is none quenching!
