¹A Mojžiš vyšiel z Moábskych rovín na vrch Nébo na temeno vrchu Pizga, ktorý je naproti Jerichu. A Hospodin mu ukázal celú zem Gileád až po Dán,

¹And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And Jehovah showed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,

²i celú zem Naftaliho i zem Efraimovu i Manassesovu i celú zem Júdovu až k najďaľšiemu moru

²and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the hinder sea,

³i južnú stranu i okolie doliny Jericha, mesta to paliem, až do Coára.

³and the South, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm-trees, unto Zoar.

⁴A Hospodin mu riekol: Toto je tá zem, ktorú som prisahal Abrahámovi, Izákovi a Jakobovi povediac: Tvojmu semenu ju dám. Učinil som to, aby si ju videl svojimi očima, ale ta neprejdeš.

⁴And Jehovah said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.

⁵A tak zomrel Mojžiš, služobník Hospodinov, v zemi Moábovej, podľa rozkazu Hospodinovho.

⁵So Moses the servant of Jehovah died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of Jehovah.

⁶A pochoval ho v doline, v zemi Moábovej, naproti Bét-peoru. A nikto nezvedel o jeho hrobe až do tohoto dňa.

⁶And he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.

⁷A Mojžišovi bolo sto dvadsať rokov, keď zomrel. Jeho oko nebolo zoslablo, ani nebola ušla od neho jeho sila.

⁷And Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.

⁸A synovia Izraelovi oplakávali Mojžiša na Moábskych rovinách tridsať dní, a tak sa dokončily dni plaču a smútku za Mojžišom.

⁸And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended.

⁹A Jozua, syn Núnov, bol plný ducha múdrosti, lebo Mojžiš vzložil svoje ruky na neho, a poslúchali ho synovia Izraelovi a činili tak, ako prikázal Hospodin Mojžišovi.

⁹And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as Jehovah commanded Moses.

¹⁰Ale nepovstal viacej v Izraelovi prorok, aký bol Mojžiš, ktorého by bol tak znal Hospodin tvárou v tvár

¹⁰And there hath not arisen a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom Jehovah knew face to face,

¹¹čo do všetkých znamení a zázrakov, ktoré ho poslal činiť Hospodin v Egyptskej zemi faraonovi a všetkým jeho sluhom a celej jeho zemi,

¹¹in all the signs and the wonders, which Jehovah sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,

¹²a čo do celej slávy tej silnej ruky a čo do všetkých tých strašných vecí veľkých, ktoré činil Mojžiš pred očami celého Izraela.

¹²and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moses wrought in the sight of all Israel.
